North Miami Senior High School (NMSHS) is a public high school in North Miami, Florida, United States. Located at 13110 NE 8th Avenue, The school opened as Edward L. Constance Junior-Senior High School in 1951; with 1,500 students in 7th, 8th and 9th grades. Another grade was added each year for the next three years. The class of 1955 was the first graduating class. Early in 1955, the name of the school was changed to North Miami Senior High School. In the fall of 1955 the 7th, 8th and 9th grades were moved to the new North Miami Junior High School.

The North Miami Public Library is a public library in North Miami, Florida. The library has a diverse collection of over 60,000 items, which include fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, newspapers, videos, audio books and discs, compact discs, and DVDs for adults, teens, and children. A bilingual and multi-cultural staff provides a variety of services and programs.

ASPIRA Raúl Arnaldo Martinez Charter School (formerly ASPIRA Youth Leadership Charter School) is a charter school in North Miami, Florida for grade levels six through eight. The school opened in 1999.

State Road 922 (SR 922) is a 5.548 miles (8.929 km) east–west road built in 1951, passing through the cities of North Miami, Bay Harbor Islands, and Bal Harbour, Florida. Locally, the street is also known as North 125th Street, North Miami Boulevard, Northeast 123rd Street, Broad Causeway, 96th Street, and Kane Concourse. Its western terminus is an intersection with Northwest Seventh Avenue (US 441/SR 7), one block west of Interstate 95, its eastern terminus is an intersection with SR A1A. The street is an important commercial artery in northeastern Miami-Dade County, with stores lining much of the route, including the Bal Harbour Shops mall near its eastern terminus.

On July 18, 2016, Charles Kinsey, a behavior therapist, was shot in the leg by a police officer in North Miami, Florida United States. Kinsey had been retrieving his 27-year-old autistic patient, Arnaldo Rios Soto, who had run away from his group home. Police encountered the pair while they were searching for an armed suicidal man. Kinsey was lying on the ground with his hands in the air, and trying to negotiate between officers and his patient, when he was shot. The officer who shot Kinsey said he had been aiming at the patient, who the officer believed was threatening Kinsey with a gun. Both Kinsey and his patient were unarmed. Following the shooting, Kinsey said he was handcuffed and left bleeding on the ground for 20 minutes without police giving him medical aid. The incident received significant media attention following the appearance of cellphone video footage. The officer who shot Kinsey, Jonathan Aledda, was arrested in 2017, and charged with attempted manslaughter and negligence. In June 2019, Aledda was found guilty by a jury of culpable negligence. One day after being found guilty, Aledda was also fired from the police force. He was sentenced to probation and required to write a 2,500 word essay on policing. He ultimately completed a total of five months of probation and no prison time. After Aledda was found guilty, Kinsey and the City of North Miami reached a settlement for an undisclosed amount in a federal lawsuit Kinsey had filed. In February 2022, Aledda's conviction was overturned.

Barry University is a private Catholic university in Miami Shores, Florida. The Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine is one of the nine podiatric medical schools in the United States. It is located in Miami Shores, Florida. The school was founded in 1985 as the first podiatric medical college to be part of a university. It is one of several schools of Barry University. Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine has graduated more than 1000 podiatric physicians since its inception in 1985. The Center for Community Health and Minority Medicine, the first of several medical sciences facilities for the Doctor in Podiatry and Physician Assistant Master students, began construction in 2007. A short walk west from the main campus, it is currently the new location of Barry University's School of Podiatric medicine. The school has affiliations with such Miami hospitals as: Mount Sinai Medical Center & Miami Heart Institute, Mercy Hospital, DVA Miami, North Shore Medical Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital. The Dean of the school is Bryan Caldwell, DPM, MD.

The population was 32,499 at the 2020 US census.It's also the location of the Golden Glades Interchange which connects the Florida Turnpike, Interstate 95, US 441, State Road 9, and the Palmetto Expressway.

Miami Carol City Senior High School (MCCSH) is a public high school located at 3301 Miami Gardens Drive in Miami Gardens, Florida, United States. It was established in 1963. The school is part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system. The school serves students from the area of Miami Gardens, a community south of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, north of downtown Miami, Florida and home to the Miami Dolphins, in what is currently known as Hard Rock Stadium.

Biscayne Park is a village in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. It's also part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population was at 3,117 residents.

Arch Creek was an early settlement in Miami-Dade County, Florida, in present-day metropolitan Miami. Tequesta Indians thrived here before the first Europeans arrived in the early 16th century. The name is derived from the 40 feet (12 m) long natural limestone bridge that spanned the creek until 1973. It is part of the Arch Creek Memorial Park at 1855 Northeast 135th Street, on Biscayne Boulevard. It was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on July 15, 1986.
