Atwood is a small predominantly Mexican-American neighborhood in Placentia, California. Esperanza High School (EHS) is a public high school located in Anaheim, California and is part of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. It is a California Distinguished School and is home to various California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) championship athletic programs; it is also home to numerous academic clubs, such as Speech and Debate, Mock Trial, and Academic Decathlon. It is a member of the Century League. The school's colors are cardinal and gold, and its mascot is the Aztec. The school has two campuses: a main campus and a west campus connected by a pedestrian bridge over Kellogg Drive. Since 2010, west campus became known as the Freshmen Focus Campus; however, the mathematics and foreign language buildings on this campus are not reserved solely for freshmen. The west campus is the former Orchard Drive Elementary school, which the high school absorbed in 1986. Current enrollment exceeds 1,700. Most pupils come from nearby Yorba Linda, California, Anaheim and east Placentia.

Anaheim Canyon station is served by 14 Metrolink Inland Empire-Orange County Line trains (7 in each direction) each weekday running primarily at peak hours in the peak direction of travel. Weekend service consists of 4 trains (2 in each direction) on both Saturday and Sunday heading towards Orange County in the morning and towards the Inland Empire in the evening.In 2021, work began on improvements including a 3,400-foot (1,000 m) second track with a second passenger platform. The project also includes an extension of the existing passenger platform and improvements to grade crossings at nearby La Palma Avenue and North Tustin Avenue. The second track and new platform were completed in 2023.

The branding refers to the ichthys, the ancient fish icon used by the Christian church since its birth during the time of the Roman Empire; the ichthys itself is part of the station logo.

Friends Church (formerly Yorba Linda Friends Church) is an evangelical Christian megachurch located in the Orange County city of Yorba Linda, California. The church is affiliated with the Friends Southwest Denomination.The church has four physical buildings at Yorba Linda, Orange, Buena Park and Eastvale. In 2023, the Senior Pastor is Matthew Cork.With weekly attendance averaging in excess of 4,000, in 2008 it was the largest Quaker church in the world and one of the largest churches in Southern California. Canyon High School is a traditional four-year high school located in the Anaheim Hills community in the city of Anaheim, California and is an International Baccalaureate school. It is located on 40 acres (160,000 m2) of land on Imperial Highway between the cross streets of Santa Ana Canyon Road and Nohl Ranch Road, and serves students in the Orange Unified School District. The school, which opened its doors in 1973, has a student population of 2,400. The school primarily serves the community of Anaheim Hills as well as parts of East Anaheim and Orange, and was designated a California Distinguished School in 2007 by the California Department of Education. The school's fight song is Washington and Lee Swing. The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum is the presidential library and burial site of Richard Milhous Nixon, the 37th president of the United States (1969–1974), and his wife Pat Nixon. The 9-acre (3.6 ha) campus is located at 18001 Yorba Linda Boulevard in Yorba Linda and incorporates the Richard Nixon Birthplace, a National Historic Landmark where Nixon was born in 1913 and spent his childhood. From its dedication on July 19, 1990, until July 11, 2007, the library and museum was operated by the private Richard Nixon Foundation and was known as the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace. The facility underwent an extensive renovation in 2016 and now features updated, multimedia museum exhibits; the complex is jointly operated by NARA and the Richard Nixon Foundation.

Lutheran High School of Orange County (commonly known as Orange Lutheran High School or OLu) is a private Lutheran high school in Orange, California, in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, founded in 1973. The school offers on-campus, online, and blended schedules for its students. Orange Lutheran is accredited by the National Lutheran School Accreditation Organization and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school is also known for its Missions Program, which travels internationally and domestically on a year-round basis.

The Yorba Linda Depot is a former railway station of the Pacific Electric Railway, located in Yorba Linda, California. The station was in service for the La Habra–Fullerton–Yorba Linda Line. Rail service began in 1910 when tracks were laid through the town as far southeast as Stern. Passenger service beyond Yorba Linda was abandoned after August 1, 1930 and ended altogether after January 22, 1938. After closing as a railway depot, the building was a nursery, a lumber yard office, a real estate office, and a restaurant. The station building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 25, 1979. Polly's restaurant opened in the building in 1992.
