National Museum of Ethiopia

Menelik II School (Amharic: ዳግማዊ ምኒሊክ ትምህርት ቤት) comprises primary (elementary) and secondary (high school) institutions. The primary school was established in 1908 by the order of Emperor Menelik II, being the first modern school and pioneer for modern education in Ethiopia. The schools are located in Arat Kilo in Addis Ababa. The primary and secondary schools have over 2,000 and 7,000 students respectively.

The Federal Supreme Court of Ethiopia (Amharic: የኢትዮጵያ ፌድራል ጠቅላይ ፍርድ ቤት) is the highest court in Ethiopia. It was established by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia constitution in 1994 and is currently located in Addis Ababa. Article 78 of the Constitution establishes the judiciary and at the top is the FSC. By the Constitution, the Federal Supreme Court has "the power of cassation over any final court decision containing a basic error of law". In 2018, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed appointed Meaza Ashenafi to be the first female president of the Federal Supreme Court. Solomon Areda Waktolla was appointed as Vice President of the Federal Supreme Court. Both were resigned by the Parliament on 17 January 2023, and replaced by Tewodros Mihret and Abeba Embiale as Chief Justice and Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court respectively.

Addis Ababa Zoo(Amharic: አንበሳ ጊቢ, romanized: änəbäsa gibi lit. 'lion compound') is a zoological park in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Yekatit 12 is a monument in Addis Ababa commemorating victims of Italian reprisals following an attempt to kill the Marshal Rodolfo Graziani, marchese di Neghelli, Viceroy of Italian East Africa, on 19 February 1937, or Yekatit 12 in the Ethiopian calendar. It is located in the centre of Sidist Kilo (Amharic, "Six Kilometre") Square, also called "Yekatit 12 square".

The Arat Kilo Monument (Amharic: የአራት ኪሎ ሀውልት) is a historic monument located in Adwa St, Arat Kilo, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The monument was built by Emperor Haile Selassie in 1930 during his coronation but removed during the Italian administration in 1936, and was restored in 1949 with decorations. The monument depicts the Ethiopian Lion of Judah at the top.

Meyazia 27 Square (Amharic: ሜያአዚያ 27 አደባባይ; or 5 May Square), commonly called Arat Kilo is an important and historic intersection and surrounding neighborhood in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, located where Adwa St, King George VI St, Queen Elizabeth II St, and Development Through Cooperation Ave come together. Its name denotes 27 Miyazya, 5 May, both the day when Addis Ababa fell to Italy in 1936 and was liberated in 1941. The park is under the aegis of the Addis Ababa Land Development and Urban Renewal Agency. Many buildings of the Ethiopian government and Addis Ababa University are near the square. The eastern side of the square is dominated by the Ministry of Education, the western side has Addis Ababa University Department of Computer Science and the Archaeology Museum. Among the heterogeneous assortment adjacent buildings are the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Parliament building, and Imperial Palace Building.

Holy Trinity University (HTU) (ቅድስት ሥላሴ ዩኒቨርሲቲ) is a theological university located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It provides religious and theological instruction to both clergy and lay members of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. The institution also aims to serve as a center of theological and ecclesiastical study for all Oriental Orthodox Churches.

The Hager Fikir Theatre (Amharic: ሃገር ፍቅር ቲያትር) is a theatre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is one of the oldest and foremost theatre in Ethiopian history; hosting as multipurpose artistic venue over half decades.

Abrehot Library is a public library in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was officially opened in January 2022 in a ceremony presided over by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed who initiated the project. Built at a cost of over 1.1 billion Birr, and at a size of 19,000 square meters, it is the largest library in Ethiopia. Abrehot, meaning ‘Enlightenment’, in the Amharic language, is located in front of the Ethiopian Parliament Building. The building was designed by ZIAS Design International PLC, construction of the 19,000-square-meter facility took almost two years. The 4-storey facility, the biggest public library in the country, is equipped with 1.5 km long shelves that are capable of holding 1.4 million books, and can accommodate more than 2,000 users at a time. The design of Abrehot is centered on three areas, making use of both outdoor and indoor learning spaces. The Knowledge Garden is an outdoor space, delineated by lines of Olive trees and with a central planting of four Sessa legume trees to form a natural performance area. The Knowledge Springs is a dedicated online learning zone. The Knowledge Centre is the library itself. It also has 8 bookstores, a meeting room, cafeteria, and a children's reading area. A number of bodies and private individuals responded to a government call to donate books to Abrehot including Book Aid International, Ethiopia Reads, and the office of the Prime Minister. Abrehot library also currently houses more than 300,000 local and 120,000 international research papers.

Jan Meda Sport Ground or Jan Meda, is a large field in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. With an area of 25,000 square kilometers, the sport ground hosts Jan Meda International Cross Country as well as social and religious events, most notability, the Timkat celebration held there.Commissioned by Emperor Menelik II to commemorate Ethiopian victory during 1896 Battle of Adwa, the ground is dedicated to St. George. Menelik, his royal family and entourages used the field for horse racing and polo. Jan Meda is a compound word of Jan (Janhoy, meaning "His Majesty King") and Meda ("field"). Thus, it is called "King's field". Jan Meda is a large open space located in north-eastern of Addis Ababa.

Addis Ababa University (AAU) (Amharic: አዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ) is a national university located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is the oldest university in Ethiopia. AAU has thirteen campuses. Twelve of these are situated in Addis Ababa, and one is located in Bishoftu, about 45 kilometres (28 mi) away. AAU has several associated research institutions including the Institute of Ethiopian Studies. The Ministry of Education admits qualified students to AAU based on their score on the Ethiopian University Entrance Examination (EUEE).

Holy Trinity Cathedral, also known in Amharic as Kidist Selassie, is the highest ranking Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo cathedral in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was built to commemorate the Ethiopian victory over Italian occupation and is an important place of worship in Ethiopia, alongside other cathedrals such as the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion in Axum.
