Boyce is an unincorporated community in South Fayette and Upper St. Clair townships, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. Boyce is located along Chartiers Run, 10.5 miles (16.9 km) southwest of downtown Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh Youth Ballet is an American non-profit organization previously run by former Pittsburgh Ballet Theater ballerina Jean Gedeon. The School was founded in 1983, while the company was established in 1990. PYB alumnae have performed with the New York City Ballet and other professional dance companies.In 2019, the Youth Pittsburgh Ballet changed its name to Texture Ballet School and is under the direction of Alan Obuzor.

Boyce is a disused train station located at the junction of Boyce Road and the tracks of the Chartiers Branch in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania, United States. It was built in 1900, and housed not only the rail operations but a post office and general store for the small community it served. After falling vacant when traffic on the line declined and the rise of the automobile made the surrounding less dependent on the commercial operations and passenger rail service, it was restored in 1980. It is the only intact example of a rail station in the Pittsburgh area that served as a local commercial center. In 1982 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Boyce Station.

Mayview State Hospital was a psychiatric hospital, originally known as Marshalsea Poor Farm, located in South Fayette Township near Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. It spanned 335 acres (136 ha) and had 39 buildings, 12 of which were used for patient care and hospital administration. It had a staff count of approximately 502 as of August 2007, and an operating budget of $63 million per year. It was demolished in 2016.

The Peters Township School District borders 4 other school districts - Upper St. Clair S.D. and Bethel Park S.D. (both in Allegheny County) to the north, Canon-McMillan S.D. to the south and west, and Ringgold S.D. to the south and east.

The township has six borders with neighboring communities, including South Fayette Township to the west, Bridgeville to the northwest, Scott Township and Mt. The Fulton Log House in Upper St. Clair Township, Pennsylvania, was built circa 1830. The log house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 6, 1975.Alexander Gilfillan settled in Upper St. Clair Township in the late 1760s and eventually owned 413 acres. About 1830, he or his son, John, built houses for his workers including four or five log houses, with only one surviving to the present. This house remained in the Gilfillan Family until 1899. James E. and Emily Fulton bought the house in 1923 as a summer home. Their son James Grove Fulton was a lifelong bachelor and served in the U.S. Congress from 1945 to 1971. His estate sold the house to Upper St. Clair Township in 1972. The 1830 Log House Association restored the house and now uses it for educational purposes.

TWA Flight 15A (TWA 15A), a Douglas DC-2 operated by Transcontinental and Western Air, crashed into a gully in Clifton, Pennsylvania, now Upper Saint Clair, a suburb approximately 7 miles (11 km) south of Pittsburgh. The crash occurred at approximately 6:40 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on March 25, 1937, killing all 13 passengers and crew members. Flight 15A was a regularly scheduled flight from Newark, New Jersey to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania via Camden, New Jersey. This accident marked the third fatal crash of a commercial airliner in the Pittsburgh area within a single year's time. On April 7, 1936 TWA Flight 1, also a DC-2, crashed into Cheat Mountain south-east of Pittsburgh near Uniontown with 12 fatalities. On September 5, 1936 a Stinson 6000 tri-motor operating under the name Skyways crashed near Pittsburgh's Allegheny County airport while on a sightseeing flight, killing 9 of 10 onboard, including the pilot. Spared was the earliest known sole survivor of a commercial aviation accident.
