Mount Majura is a small mountain with an elevation of 890 metres (2,920 ft) AHD  that is located in the northern suburbs of Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Mount Majura lies close to the more prominent Mount Ainslie and is the highest point within the urban boundaries of Canberra. Mount Majura is contained within part of the Canberra Nature Park.

Majura is a district in the Australian Capital Territory in Australia. With a population of 161 at the 2021 census, excluding the suburb of Pialligo, which lies to the south of Canberra Airport. Apart from Pialligo, Majura District includes Canberra Airport, three business parks and some farming but little residential development. The main shopping centre is the Majura Park Shopping Centre.

Hackett () is an inner north suburb of Canberra, the capital city of Australia. Located approximately 4.5 km (2.8 mi) north-east of the central business district, Hackett is adjacent to Watson, Dickson and Ainslie. It is bounded by Antill Street and Philip Avenue, and the Mount Majura Nature Reserve to the east. Hackett has a neighbourhood oval, and shopping centre. The suburb was named after Sir John Winthrop Hackett (1848–1916), who was a newspaper editor and worker for the Federation of Australia. Streets in Hackett are named after scientists.

Kenny is a designated suburb in the Canberra, Australia district of Gungahlin. The suburb is named in honour of Elizabeth Kenny, an Australian who pioneered muscle rehabilitation practices which serve as the foundation of physiotherapy. It is adjacent to the suburbs of Watson, Lyneham, the Mitchell industrial estate, Harrison and Throsby and bounded by the Federal Highway to the east and Horse Park Drive to the north. The suburb Kenny is situated about 4 km from the Gungahlin Towncentre and 8 km from the centre of Canberra.

Watson is a suburb of Canberra, Australia in the North Canberra district. Watson is named after the third Prime Minister of Australia, John Christian Watson. The suburb name was gazetted on 7 April 1960. Streets in Watson are named after Australian judges and other legal professionals. Watson is bordered by the Federal Highway, Phillip Avenue and Antill Street. Traffic loads on these roads has increased significantly with the continued development of Gungahlin and studies suggest some areas will exceed capacity before 2021.

Throsby is a designated suburb of Canberra, Australia in the district of Gungahlin. The suburb is adjacent to the suburbs of Kenny and Harrison and is bounded by the Federal Highway to the east, the ACT/NSW border to the north, Horse Park Drive to the south and the Goorooyarroo nature reserve to the west. The suburb is named after the explorer Charles Throsby who was one of the first Europeans to open up the lands west of the Blue Mountains to grazing and agriculture.

St Margaret's Uniting Church is a Uniting church in Hackett, Australian Capital Territory, Australia. The soaring spire of the church building it shares with Holy Cross Anglican congregation is a major landmark in North Canberra, at the intersection of the four suburbs of Watson, Dickson, Downer and Hackett.

Harrison is a suburb of the district of Gungahlin in Canberra, Australia. The suburb is named after the former city planner Peter Harrison, who was instrumental in reviving Walter Burley Griffin's plan for the National Capital. The suburb is adjacent to the suburbs of Franklin, Gungahlin, Throsby, Kenny and the industrial estate Mitchell. Harrison's place names reflects those of "natural features, waterfalls, plains, tablelands and plateaux". The suburb is located approximately 2 km east of the Gungahlin Town Centre and about 10 km from the centre of Canberra. After the launch of Light Rail on 20 April by ACT government, Harrison residents can enjoy the benefits of Light Rail from any of the Flemington Road stops.

The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) is an Australian video games and computer animation school. Founded in 1996, it was one of the world's first institutions to offer qualifications in these industries. The AIE provides courses covering CGI, animation, video game asset creation and games programming. Campuses are located in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and an online campus. The Australian ABC has said that the AIE "is one of Australia's most awarded 3D animation, game design and visual FX educators".

Dickson College is a public two-year secondary college located in the Canberra suburb of Dickson, Australian Capital Territory. It was established in 1976 on the former Dickson High School campus when it closed. It was set to close after being announced as the sole college in Canberra to be eliminated for the Towards 2020 plan, but was spared when the final decision was made.The college draws its students from Canberra's inner north, principally taking students from Campbell and Lyneham High Schools.

The National Folk Festival (NFF) is a longstanding, Australian family friendly celebration of all aspects of folk music and culture. It is held every year at Easter in the national capital, Canberra. Winner of many awards, such as National Qantas Australian Tourism Award for Best Festival in 2009, it features 15-20 venues with vibrant world-class artists, 'blackboard' opportunities, workshops, craft, themed bars and cafes and delectable food. First held in Melbourne in 1967, from 1969 the NFF was held in various states in city and regional venues. Since 1992 the festival had been staged at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) at Easter from Easter Thursday – Easter Monday. It was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia, and in 2021 was held as a 2-day event dubbed Good Folk at venues spread across Queanbeyan in New South Wales. It returned to its normal location and timing in 2022.

Well Station Drive is a light rail station on the Canberra Metro R1 Civic to Gungahlin line, located at the intersection of Well Station Drive and Flemington Road. It serves the residential suburb of Harrison and is the closest station to many businesses in Mitchell. The station's location and lack of suitable footpaths makes access to the industrial area difficult for pedestrians, leading to safety concerns within the community. Bicycle racks and "kiss and ride" bays are currently installed around the intersection adjacent to the station.In June 2019, the ACT Government announced funding for the construction of a 200 space park and ride to be built adjacent to the station, as well as an addition stop between Well Station Drive and EPIC to better serve the Mitchell industrial area.
