Calvary Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church complex at 909 Castleton Avenue in West New Brighton, Staten Island, New York. www.calvarypresby.org The complex consists of the Romanesque/Tudor Revival-style church building (built 1894, addition 1952), parish house (1930), manse (1919), and a one car garage. Boy Scouts of America have been part of Calvary's Mission since 1984. Today they have a Cub Pack, a Troop and a Venture Crew. Calvary's Scouting Units 19 were founded in West Brighton, Staten Island in 1916 and moved to Calvary in 1984 Calvary was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Church of the Sacred Heart is a Roman Catholic parish church under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located in Staten Island, New York City. The parish was established in 1875. After much financial difficulty, the church building was gradually renovated and extended to cater to the growing congregation and finished in 1900. The affiliated parish elementary school and the Schoenstatt "Shrine of Light" are located across Castleton Avenue.

The hospital occupies the buildings that were formerly St. Vincent's Medical Center, which closed in 2006. It is affiliated with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Health System.

St. Austin's Military School is a defunct American military academy formerly located in the West Brighton section of Staten Island, New York. The school was founded in 1883 by the Rev. Alfred G. Mortimer with the name St. Austin's Episcopal School for Boys. The name of the school was soon changed to St. Austin's Military School. In 1898, it moved to Connecticut. While on Staten Island the school was housed in the former Garner Mansion near the corner of Castleton and Bard Avenues. The building still exists as part of the campus of Richmond University Medical Center. A nearby street named St. Austin's Place is a reminder of the school.

Livingston is a name sometimes applied to the northeastern portion of West Brighton, a neighborhood located on the North Shore of the New York City borough of Staten Island.

West New Brighton, also referred to as West Brighton, is a station on the abandoned North Shore Branch of the Staten Island Railway. It had two side platforms and two tracks. It was located at-grade in the West New Brighton section of Staten Island, north of Richmond Terrace between North Burgher Avenue and Broadway. The station site is 2.4 miles (3.9 km) from the Saint George terminus. No trace of the station exists today.

The Kreuzer-Pelton House is a Dutch-influenced fieldstone house on Staten Island in New York City. Erected in 1722 as a one-room cottage, it was expanded in two stages: in 1770 and in 1836. It is designated as a New York City landmark. The house was built by Joseph Rolph. During the American Revolutionary War, Tory militia commander Cortlandt Skinner used the house as his headquarters. William IV of the United Kingdom was a guest at the house.

The Staten Island Cricket Club (SICC) is a cricket club on Staten Island, New York that was incorporated as the Staten Island Cricket and Base Ball Club on March 22, 1872. It became the first tennis venue in the United States.

The Dr. Samuel MacKenzie Elliott House is a historic house located at 69 Delafield Place in West New Brighton, Staten Island, New York.

The New York Chinese Scholar's Garden (simplified Chinese: 寄兴园; traditional Chinese: 寄興園; pinyin: Jìxīng Yuán; Jyutping: Gei3hing1 Jyun4) is part of the Staten Island Botanical Garden, located in the Snug Harbor Cultural Center. Materials were shipped to Staten Island in the spring of 1998, when a team of 40 Chinese artists and artisans from Suzhou constructed the garden. It opened in June of 1999. President of the Botanical Garden Frances Paulo Huber recognized the need for an authentic Chinese garden in 1984. The garden was finally constructed with the support of many partners, including the Staten Island Botanical Garden, the City of New York, the Landscape Architecture Company of China, the Metropolitan Chinese American Community, various private foundations, and hundreds of individuals and corporate donors. After a long series of collaborations a contract was signed with the Landscape Architecture Corporation of China. Mr. Zou Gongwu was appointed as chief project designer.

The Staten Island Zoo is an 8-acre (3.2 ha) urban zoo in West New Brighton, Staten Island, New York City. The zoo is open year-round except on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. It has been accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) since 1988.
