Buena Vista is a historic home located at New Castle, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built between 1845 and 1847, and is a two-story, five-bay, brick dwelling in the Greek Revival style. It has a service wing and a long wing designed by architect R. Brognard Okie containing a long hall and library. It features a full width verandah supported by Doric order columns. It was the home of U.S. Senator and Secretary of State John M. Clayton (1796-1856) and U.S. Senator and Delaware Governor C. Douglass Buck (1890-1965), who donated it to the State of Delaware. It is operated as the Buena Vista Conference Center by the State of Delaware. The estate originally was named in commemoration of the Battle of Buena Vista in the Mexican–American War. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Red Lion is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Red Lion is located at the intersection of Delaware Route 7 and Delaware Route 71, northwest of Delaware City and southwest of New Castle. The community takes its name from a colonial tavern. and lends it name to the Red Lion Hundred.

It was built in the first half of the 19th century, and is a two-story, three-bay, single pile, gable-roofed dwelling. The main block is constructed of brick, and it has a two-story, one-bay frame addition built in the late-19th / early-20th century and a one-story, flat-roofed, stuccoed rear addition.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.Following the construction of a modern development, the house's address is now on Lauren Place, off Blue Ridge Road.

It consists of a three bay, double pile section and a two bay single pile section. The front facade features a three bay, one story, hip-roofed facade porch with turned posts and added in the 20th century.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Old Fort Church is an historic African-American Methodist church located on Old Baltimore Pike in Christiana, New Castle County, Delaware. The church was originally built on Schoolbell Road (in Christiana Hundred) near Christiana in 1850. In 1897, it was dismantled and reconstructed on its present site. It is a one-story, three bay by three bay, gable-roofed brick structure. It features modified lancet-type windows that illuminate the main block. The gable ends have various types of decorative wood shingles painted dark green.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Public School No. 111-C is a historic rural school building located at Christiana, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1923, and consists of a one-story, balloon frame, gambrel-roofed main block containing the classrooms with three small wings housing the furnace room, wash rooms and work and lunch room. The building is in the Colonial Revival style. It is an example of the schools for African American children built in the 1920s by progressive philanthropist Pierre S. du Pont (1870–1954).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
