Christiana Historic District

Christiana is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States, located on the Christina River, 12 miles southwest of Wilmington. It is home to the Christiana Hospital and the Christiana Mall and is the location of the northern terminus of Delaware Route 1 at an interchange with Interstate 95. Despite sharing a name with Christiana Hundred, the community of Christiana is located in White Clay Creek Hundred.

Old Fort Church is an historic African-American Methodist church located on Old Baltimore Pike in Christiana, New Castle County, Delaware. The church was originally built on Schoolbell Road (in Christiana Hundred) near Christiana in 1850. In 1897, it was dismantled and reconstructed on its present site. It is a one-story, three bay by three bay, gable-roofed brick structure. It features modified lancet-type windows that illuminate the main block. The gable ends have various types of decorative wood shingles painted dark green.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Public School No. 111-C is a historic rural school building located at Christiana, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1923, and consists of a one-story, balloon frame, gambrel-roofed main block containing the classrooms with three small wings housing the furnace room, wash rooms and work and lunch room. The building is in the Colonial Revival style. It is an example of the schools for African American children built in the 1920s by progressive philanthropist Pierre S. du Pont (1870–1954).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

John Lewden House is a historic home located at Christiana, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1770, and is a two-story, five bay, single pile, brick dwelling in the Georgian style. It has a center hall plan and the interior features original woodwork in the parlor and hall. Also on the property is a contributing two-story brick carriage shed (c. 1800).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Christiana Mall is a super-regional shopping mall located between the cities of Newark and Wilmington, Delaware, United States. The mall is situated at the intersection of Interstate 95 (exit 4A) and Delaware Route 1/Delaware Route 7 (DE 1 exit 164) near the community of Christiana, close to the center of the Northeast megalopolis. Christiana Mall has four anchor stores - Nordstrom, Macy's, JCPenney, and Target - along with Barnes & Noble as a junior anchor and Cabela's and Cinemark Theatres located along the mall's perimeter. The mall contains 179 shops, and is owned and managed by Brookfield Properties. It has 1,267,241 square feet (117,731 m2) of gross leasable area on one level. Christiana Mall is the largest shopping mall in the state of Delaware and the largest in the five states without sales tax outside of Oregon. The Christiana Mall is located nearly 40 miles (64 km) southwest of Center City, Philadelphia. Due to the lack of sales tax in Delaware, the mall attracts numerous shoppers from neighboring states.

The Christiana Mall Park & Ride is a park and ride lot and bus terminal located at the Christiana Mall in the unincorporated community of Christiana between Wilmington and Newark in New Castle County, Delaware. The park and ride serves DART First State buses, with service provided by 9 local bus routes serving New Castle County and two inter-county bus routes that provide service to Dover and seasonal service to Lewes and Rehoboth Beach.

Christiana Hospital is a 906-bed nationally ranked, non-profit, tertiary, research and academic medical center located in Stanton, Newark, Delaware, servicing the entire Delaware area and parts of southern New Jersey. Christiana Hospital is the region's only university-level tertiary academic medical center. The hospital is affiliated with the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Christiana Hospital is owned by ChristianaCare as the flagship hospital of the system. Christiana Hospital is also a ACS designated level I trauma center, the only in Delaware. In addition, the hospital has a helipad to handle critical medevac patients. Christiana Hospital also features an AAP-verified, level III neonatal intensive care unit with 60 bassinets.The Christiana Hospital campus is also home to the Center for Heart & Vascular Health and the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center.

Charles Allen House is a historic home located at Christiana, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in the first half of the 19th century, and is a two-story, three-bay, single pile, gable-roofed dwelling. The main block is constructed of brick, and it has a two-story, one-bay frame addition built in the late-19th / early-20th century and a one-story, flat-roofed, stuccoed rear addition.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.Following the construction of a modern development, the house's address is now on Lauren Place, off Blue Ridge Road.

Walnut Lane was a historic home located near Newark, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1835, and is an "L" shaped brick residence. The main house was a 2+1⁄2 story, five bay, single pile structure with a Greek Revival style front portico. It had a two bay brick ell, with a 1+1⁄2 story frame addition.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It was demolished before 1992.

Churchmans Crossing station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Newark, Delaware. Located at 1 Fairplay Boulevard, it serves the Wilmington/Newark Line. The station lies on the property of the Delaware Park Racetrack, and has a 125-space parking lot. It is served by SEPTA on weekdays only. Churchmans Crossing station is referred to as Fairplay Station at Churchmans Crossing by DART First State. Churchmans Crossing station consists of six plexiglass shelters within the parking lot. Access to the platform is available from a staircase leading down an embankment which runs parallel to the Delaware Park Boulevard bridge over the tracks. An elevator next to the staircase provides handicapped accessibility. The station was opened in 2000.
