KDRI (830 AM, "The Drive") is a radio station in Tucson, Arizona. Owned by Bustos Media, through licensee Bustos Media Holdings, LLC, it broadcasts an oldies format. It is simulcast on FM translator K269FV at 101.7 MHz in Oro Valley. By day, KDRI is powered at 50,000 watts non-directional, the maximum for commercial AM stations. As 830 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A station WCCO in Minneapolis, KDRI reduces power at night to 1,000 watts, and switches to a directional antenna with a four-tower array. The transmitter is on Sunshine Lane off North Sandra Road in Marana. KDRI is Arizona's only "Primary Entry Point" station to the Emergency Alert System.

KOHT (98.3 FM) is an urban-leaning rhythmic contemporary station serving Tucson, Arizona, and is licensed to Marana, (a northwestern suburb of Tucson). It has been owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. since July 30, 2001 and broadcasts with an ERP of 6 kW. The station's playlist is primarily Rhythmic Top 40, hip hop and R&B. Its studios are located north of downtown Tucson along Oracle Road, while the transmitter site is near the Tortolita Mountains in unincorporated Pima County.

The Gallery Golf Club is located east of Marana, Arizona, northwest of Tucson at Dove Mountain. The two 18-hole courses are approximately seven miles east of Interstate 10 at an average elevation of 2875 feet (850 m) above sea level. The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain sits to the Northwest. The Gallery North Course is ranked #1 in Southern Arizona by Golf Digest and is acknowledged as one of Golfweek's Top 100 Modern Courses. The Gallery South Course opened in December 2003 and was nominated as one of Golf Digest's 100 Best. It is best known for hosting the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, in 2007 and 2008. The Gallery is notable for having the longest par 5 in North America; the ninth hole is measured at a length of 725 yards.

The 2007 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship was a golf tournament that was played from February 21–25, 2007 over the South Course at The Gallery Golf Club at Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona. It was the ninth WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and the first of three World Golf Championships events held in 2007. It was the first time the championship was played at The Gallery, having previously been hosted by the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California. Henrik Stenson defeated defending champion Geoff Ogilvy 2 and 1 in the 36 hole final to claim his first World Golf Championships title. The total purse was $8,000,000 of which Stenson earned $1,350,000. He also became the first player from Continental Europe to win one of the individual World Golf Championships.

The 2008 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship was a golf tournament that was played from February 20–24, 2008 over the South Course at The Gallery Golf Club at Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona. It was the tenth WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and the first of three World Golf Championships held in 2008. The purse remained at $8,000,000, one of the largest in golf. Tiger Woods won his third WGC Match Play title, and his 15th World Golf Championships event, by beating fellow American Stewart Cink 8 and 7 in the final.

The 2010 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship was a golf tournament held February 17–21 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona, northwest of Tucson. It was the 12th WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and the first of four World Golf Championships held in 2010. Ian Poulter won his first of two WGC victories with a 4 & 2 win over runner-up Paul Casey in the final match. This was the last year the final was played at 36 holes; it was reduced to 18 holes in 2011.

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain is a golf course in the southwestern United States, located in Marana, Arizona, northwest of Tucson. For six years (2009–2014), it hosted the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, a match play tournament on the PGA Tour and the European Tour in late February. The club was known as Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, carrying co-branding from Ritz-Carlton, which operates the hotel facilities at the club, from its opening until 2012; however the co-branding was removed before the 2013 event for unknown reasons. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the course holds the distinction for being the longest venue in PGA Tour history at 7,849 yards (7,177 m); the average elevation is approximately 2,600 feet (790 m) above sea level. The club boasts the designation as a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course with 27 holes. In an effort to preserve and protect the surrounding lush desert, club makes use of numerous "green" technologies. Efforts include everything from using reclaimed water for the courses and landscaping to preservation of natural washes as havens for wildlife. The course's green complexes were heavily criticized by players during the 2009 event, the first to be played on the course, due to their subtleties and the effects of various natural landforms on the pull of the breaks. This led to several top names demanding the reconfiguration of the greens, including Tiger Woods suggesting that Dove Mountain "blow up" the putting surfaces. This eventually led to a massive renovation project after the tournament, completed in time for the 2010 event. However, scorn from players continued, with the course consistently ranking near the bottom on the PGA Tour's annual player poll ranking tour venues. Each year, one or two top players routinely skipped the event. This issue came to a head in 2014, when Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Adam Scott (three of the top four in the world rankings) all chose not to enter, with Scott in particular saying he would be more likely to play if the event were staged at a different course. This was the final edition in Arizona; it moved to San Francisco for 2015, then to Austin, Texas, in 2016.

The 2012 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship was a golf tournament played February 22–26 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona, northwest of Tucson. It was the 14th WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and the first of four World Golf Championships held in 2012. Hunter Mahan won his first Match Play title and second WGC with a 2&1 victory over runner-up Rory McIlroy. Defending champion Luke Donald lost in the first round, as did three other previous winners.

The 2011 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship was a professional golf tournament played from February 23 to 27, 2011 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona, northwest of Tucson. It was the 13th WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and the first of four World Golf Championships held in 2011. Luke Donald won his only WGC title with a 3 & 2 win in the final over runner-up Martin Kaymer. Four previous winners lost in the first round, including defending champion Ian Poulter and three-time winner Tiger Woods.

The 2009 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship was a golf tournament that was played from February 25 to March 1, 2009, at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona. It was the eleventh WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and the first of four World Golf Championships held in 2009. The tournament marked the return of Tiger Woods to the PGA Tour, following eight months out of the sport after undergoing knee surgery shortly after his victory in the 2008 U.S. Open. Geoff Ogilvy continued his success at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship defeating Paul Casey, who had not trailed in any of his first five matches, 4 and 3 in the final. It was Ogilvy's second win in the event, in which reached the final for the third time in four years. The victory also improved his already impressive match record in the event to 17 wins and 2 losses.

The 2014 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship was the 16th WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, held February 19–23 at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona, northwest of Tucson. It was the first of four World Golf Championships in 2014. With a field of 64 competitors, the five-day six-round event began on Wednesday, with the semifinals and finals on Sunday. Jason Day won his first WGC title at the 23rd hole of the final match with Victor Dubuisson.This was the eighth and final edition of the championship contested in Marana, the host since 2007. The tournament moved back to California in 2015, held in early May at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, and went to Austin, Texas, in March 2016. This was also the final edition in which the entire tournament was single-elimination, as the first two rounds were replaced by round-robin play in 2015, with sixteen players advancing to the knock-out bracket on the weekend.

The 2013 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship was the 15th WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, played February 20–24 at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona, northwest of Tucson. Matt Kuchar won his first WGC event, 2&1 over runner-up Hunter Mahan, the defending champion. This was the first of four World Golf Championships in 2013. Weather delays due to snow disrupted the schedule.
