Burnhill Green

St Mary's Church, Patshull, is a redundant Anglican church in the parish of Pattingham and Patshull, Staffordshire, England, and is situated near Patshull Hall. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church stands in parkland beside a lake.

Patshull Hall is a substantial Georgian mansion house situated near Pattingham in Staffordshire, England. It is a Grade I listed building and by repute is one of the largest listed buildings in the county.

Patshull is a former civil parish, now in the parish of Pattingham and Patshull, in the South Staffordshire district, in the county of Staffordshire, England. It is 7 miles west of Wolverhampton and 7½ miles east of Bridgnorth. According to the 2011 census it had a population of 212. The parish consisted of Patshull, Burnhill Green and, along its eastern boundary, Westbeech (old name Westbach). It formerly contained several farmhouses and small cottages, but Burnhill Green is the main hamlet.

The Caynton Caves are a series of man-made underground chambers in the grounds of Caynton Hall, near Beckbury, Shropshire, England. Their original purpose and date of construction are disputed, though most authoritative sources date them to the 19th century.

Badger is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England, about six miles north-east of Bridgnorth. The parish had a population of 134 according to the 2001 census, falling to 126 at the 2011 census.Badger Parish is at grid map reference SO 768 995. The boundaries of the parish contain the village of Badger, one side of Badger Dingle, and Badger Heath Farm. It is approximately 2.7 km at its widest point. The village and its surroundings, particularly the Dingle, are considered a visitor attraction. In their present form they owe much to deliberate planning and landscaping in the 18th century.

Ackleton is a village in the English county of Shropshire. It is in the civil parish of Worfield. Situated some seven miles (11 kilometers) from the market town of Bridgnorth, this village is the home of the two pub and restaurants The Red Cow and The Folley. Convenient for both Wolverhampton and Telford, this rural retreat is surrounded by open fields and views. It also shares its territory with Badger Dingle, which is a forest area often visited by walkers and hikers. Ackleton is most situated by small quaint cottages. The open fields are great for walking or hiking. The area attracts many dog walkers. The architecture for the housing in Ackleton dates back to Tudor times. Ackleton is believed to have inspired the fictional village of Eckleton in writings of P.G.Wodehouse, whose parents lived in nearby Stableford.

Cosford is a village in Shropshire, England. It is located on the A41 road, which is itself just south of junction 3 on the M54 motorway. The village is very small and is mostly made up of dwellings that house Royal Air Force personnel who work at the adjacent RAF Cosford.

Beckbury is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. Beckbury had a population of 327 according to the 2001 census, increasing to 340 at the 2011 Census, The village is 8 miles (13 km) south-east of Telford and is close to the Staffordshire border. The small rural parish of Beckbury lies on the Shropshire–Staffordshire border 3.7 miles (6 km) south of Shifnal. It has a pub – the Smokey Cow, a Church of England school, a village hall, and a parish church dedicated to St Milburga (who was Abbess at Much Wenlock in Saxon times). Beckbury makes up one of the six parishes of Beckbury, Ryton, Kemberton, Badger, Sutton Maddock and Stockton, which became a united benefice in 1989 (the first group of 6 parishes in the Diocese of Lichfield). Beckbury was included in the Domesday Book and the name means Beocca's Fort or defended place (Beocca being someone's name).The village was struck by an F0/T1 tornado on 23 November 1981, as part of the record-breaking nationwide tornado outbreak on that day.

Boningale is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. The village lies just south of Albrighton, and just west of the county border with Staffordshire. The village is about eight miles west of Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, on the A464 road, and ten miles east of Telford. According to the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 266, increasing to 302 at the 2011 census.Its name was formerly spelt as Boningall or Bonninghall.

The Royal Air Force Museum Cosford, located in Cosford in Shropshire, is a free museum dedicated to the history of aviation and the Royal Air Force in particular. The museum is part of the Royal Air Force Museum, a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Ministry of Defence and also a registered charity. The museum is spread over two sites in England; the other site is at the Royal Air Force Museum London at Colindale (near Hendon) in north London.

Ryton is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England, in the district of Bridgnorth. It lies about one mile north north west of Beckbury. The civil parish originates during Norman times, and appears as "Ruitone" in the Domesday book of 1086. Ryton was part of the Saxon parish of Shifnal, but became separate at some point during the 12th century because there is mention of a priest at Ryton named Bernard in 1186.In 1643 John Craven was created Baron Craven of Ryton, named after this village, but the title died out with his death in 1648.Ryton is home to St Andrew's church, in which records first appear of its existence in 1710Ryton Hall, built by Romolo Piazzani, was for a time an independent boarding school for girls, from 1954 to 1983 an ESN school run by Wolverhampton Borough Council, and is now apartments with houses built in the garden.(Not to be confused with the small village of Great Ryton, which also is in Shropshire, in the parish of Condover, south of Shrewsbury.)

Cosford railway station is a railway station which serves the village of Cosford in Shropshire, England. It also serves RAF Cosford which is also home to a branch of the Royal Air Force Museum. The station is served by West Midlands Trains, who manage the station, and Transport for Wales. Between 2008 and 2011 it was also served by the direct London operator, Wrexham & Shropshire.
