Purbrook

Purbrook Park School is a comprehensive co-educational secondary school situated in Purbrook, north of Portsmouth, Hampshire. The school has an enrollment number of 840 pupils, aged 11 through to 16. It became a trust school in April 2009. Ofsted judged the school to be a "Good School" in May 2015.

Crookhorn College is a coeducational foundation secondary school, located in Waterlooville in the English county of Hampshire.It is administered by Hampshire County Council, which coordinates the schools admissions. Previously known as Crookhorn Community School, it gained specialist Technology College status and was renamed Crookhorn College of Technology. It is now named Crookhorn College. Crookhorn College offers GCSEs as programmes of study for pupils, as well as some vocational courses in conjunction with South Downs College.

Widley is an area of the Greater Portsmouth conurbation in the South East of England near Waterlooville and Purbrook. It is on the dip slope of the South Downs just north of the ridge called Portsdown Hill. Widley is served by the A3(T), trunk road which runs from Portsmouth to London. The main A3 to London (at this point the A3(M) motorway) is very close by, making it commutable by road. Widley is served by Cosham or Havant rail stations.

Oaklands Roman Catholic Comprehensive School and Sixth Form College is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form college with academy status located in Waterlooville, Hampshire. It opened in 1966, although its history can be traced back to 1902. Around 1400 students attend the school with over 150 in the Sixth Form. Oaklands has been a Specialist Humanities College since September 2005.

Waterlooville is a town in the Borough of Havant in Hampshire, England, approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) north northeast of Portsmouth. It is the largest town in the borough. The town had a population of 64,350 in the 2011 Census. It is surrounded by Purbrook, Blendworth, Cowplain, Lovedean, Clanfield, Catherington, Crookhorn, Denmead, Hambledon, Horndean and Widley. It forms part of the South Hampshire conurbation. The town formed around the old A3 London to Portsmouth road.

Camp Down is a location at Portsdown Hill, Hampshire, near Farlington, which was used as an Admiralty semaphore station and later as a redoubt on the line of Palmerston Forts, Portsmouth.The Admiralty Telegraph Station was built at Camp Down in 1821 and it operated on the semaphore line from London to Portsmouth from 1822 to 1847. Farlington Redoubt was built on the site as a result of the 1859 Royal Commission, as part of a series of fortifications built to defend Portsmouth and its dockyard (which is 5 miles (8.0 km) away) from a possible attack from inland, as the development of rifled gun barrels made it possible for an invading army to land elsewhere, circle around to the top of the hill and bombard the city from there, rendering the existing Hilsea Lines at the bottom of the ridge useless. The redoubt formed the eastern limit of a series of 6 forts which were planned along the 7 miles (11 km) of the ridge. The site is now quarried away.

The River Wallington curves and gently meanders west then south in south-east Hampshire. Rising at sources to north and south of Waterlooville these flow west around Portsdown Hill into a dammed section as the lake in the grounds of Southwick House to unite, then through the village of Southwick then, in that parish, to receive the Beck of similar flow from the north. The river turns south and runs past fields and past the large town Fareham, before entering Portsmouth Harbour, as its main natural watercourse inflow, at Wallington.The Beck drains, likewise standard small dendritic drainage sources, at least four in number, and particularly the hamlets of Upper and Lower Beckford in Southwick and Widley civil parish, crossed by Beckford Lane today at Beckford Bridge, a former ford.

Farlington is a primarily residential district of the city of Portsmouth in the county of Hampshire, England. It is located in the extreme north east of the city on the mainland and is not on Portsea Island unlike most of the other areas of Portsmouth. Farlington was incorporated into the city in 1932 and now forms a continuous development with Cosham and Drayton. To the north of Farlington is the suburb of Widley and to the east is the town of Havant. To the west is the suburb of Drayton, and to the south is Langstone Harbour.

Waterlooville Baptist Church is a Baptist church in Waterlooville and surrounding suburban areas in the borough of Havant in Hampshire, southeast England. Built in 1966 to replace a "landmark" Victorian chapel on a different site, the new church building is a distinctive and "elegant" example of modern architecture. It is affiliated with the Baptist Union of Great Britain.

Drayton is a residential area of the city of Portsmouth in the English county of Hampshire. Together with Farlington, its parent area, it makes up one of the electoral wards of the city.

Wecock Farm is a 1970s council estate on the western edges of Waterlooville originally built by Portsmouth City Council. Its lineage can be traced back to the 16th century and is described as 'a place called Wycock' in 1591The estate's centre was redeveloped in 2003 with new housing, and new buildings for the community centre and a popular Chinese take-away.

Springfield School is a co-educational secondary school located in the Drayton area of Portsmouth in the English county of Hampshire.It was previously a community school administered by Portsmouth City Council, and held specialist Technology College status. In April 2017 Springfield School converted to academy status and is now sponsored by The De Curci Trust.
