The Barcelona–Cerbère railway is a 168-kilometre (104.39 mi) railway line linking Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain to Cerbère in France.

Barceloneta (Catalan pronunciation: [bəɾsəluˈnɛtə]) is a station belonging to line L4 of Barcelona Metro. It is located in La Barceloneta neighbourhood, close to the beach and Parc de la Ciutadella. This is the station nearest to Barcelona França railway station, one of the city's major railway stations and one of the R2 commuter line stops. The station is the least deep underground metro station in the whole system.

The Reial Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi (Catalan pronunciation: [rəˈjal əkəˈðɛmi.ə kətəˈlanə ðə ˈβeʎəz ˈaɾts ðə ˈsaɲ ˈʒɔɾði], in English "Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts of Saint George") is a Catalan art school located in Barcelona. The president is the architect Jordi Bonet i Armengol. The institution was founded as a cost-free school of painting, sculpture and architecture under the former name Escola Gratuïta de Disseny by the Catalan trade council in 1775. In 1849 the school became a member of the provincial academies of arts in Spain (Acadèmies Provincials de Belles Arts), and in 1900 it became autonomous. Today, the ancient school is divided into the faculty of fine arts of the University of Barcelona and the vocational art school, named Escola Superior de Disseny i d’Art Llotja. In 1930 the RACBASJ lost its provincial character and thenceforward it has perceived itself as the Catalan academy of arts. The courses offered include also music and other fine arts.

The Museum of the History of Catalonia (Catalan: Museu d'Història de Catalunya, MHC) is a history museum in Barcelona that promotes the awareness and knowledge of the history of Catalonia and its culture. The museum is located in Barcelona's Palau de Mar, the former General Stores (Magatzems Generals de Comerç), the sole building of Barcelona's old industrial port still standing.

It is formed by the former neighborhoods of Sant Pere, Santa Caterina and la Ribera. The southeastern part of this area, just below Carrer de la Princesa, and leading to Barceloneta, is often referred to as "El Born." A close subway stop for many staying in this neighborhood is Jaume I (primer), which is situated on the yellow L4 line.

The Fossar de les Moreres (Catalan pronunciation: [fuˈsa ðə ləz muˈɾeɾəs], literally "Grave of the Mulberries") is a memorial square in Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain), adjacent to the basilica of Santa Maria del Mar. The plaza was built over a cemetery where defenders of the city were buried following the Siege of Barcelona at the end of the War of the Spanish Succession in 1714. The plaza features a memorial to the fallen Catalans of the war, with a torch of eternal flame and a heroic poem by Frederic Soler, "El Fossar de les Moreres". In the aftermath of the War of Spanish Succession, Catalonia suffered a loss of autonomy. The subsequent royal decrees known as the Decretos de Nueva Planta abolished the furs (fueros) of Catalonia as well as institutions that dated back to the time of the Crown of Aragon and beyond. At a later date the public use of the Catalan language was banned for public documents. The Decretos dealt not only with Catalonia, but also with other parts of Spain and the empire as a whole. Given this tumultuous history connected with the decrees and the war, the Fossar de les Moreres is a place of remembrance every year during the National Day of Catalonia (Diada Nacional de Catalunya in Catalan). The holiday commemorates the date on which Barcelona fell, 11 September, and Catalans yearly pay homage to the defenders of city who were killed and are buried at the memorial.

It is an outstanding example of Catalan Gothic, with a purity and unity of style that is very unusual in large medieval buildings.

Gas Natural Building, also known as Mare Nostrum Tower, is an office skyscraper located in the La Barceloneta neighbourhood of the Ciutat Vella district in Barcelona, Spain. It was the headquarters building of the Spanish company Naturgy, formerly known as Gas Natural, until 2019 when the company legal headquarters were moved to Madrid.
