Woodgate Valley Country Park is a country park within the Bartley Green and Quinton districts of Birmingham. It is the third largest Birmingham Country Park after Sutton Park and Lickey Hills Country Park. The park is maintained as a wildlife habitat but also has farm animals.

Woodgate is part of Birmingham, between Bartley Green and Harborne. It is split up into 3 parts, Woodgate Valley South (also known as South Woodgate), which is the gateway to Harborne. Woodgate Valley, which is next to Bartley Green, and Woodgate Valley North, often referred as part of Quinton.

Bartley Green School is an academy with Technology and Sports College status for pupils aged 11–16 in the Bartley Green area of Birmingham, England.The school has approximately 900 pupils. The school comprises largely White British ethnic origin, with a small number of Black, Asian and mixed heritage backgrounds. The school has a higher-than-average proportion of students with special educations needs because the school has a unit for 55 students with speech and language difficulties, including autism spectrum disorders. The numeracy and literacy skills of pupils upon entry into the school in year 7 are below average.The school has gained a range of awards, including Artsmark Silver, Sports and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) marks, Investor in People and Healthy Schools accreditation.

Four Dwellings Academy (formerly Four Dwellings High School) is a co-educational school with academy status, located in the Quinton area of Birmingham, England. It opened in 2020 on Quinton Road West. The old Upper School building opened in 1954 on Dwellings Lane, originally as the Four Dwellings Girls School, with the boys school being situated in the older buildings. The school went co-educational in 1970. The school held specialist Science College status before converting to academy status in March 2013. The academy is now situated solely on the old girls school building and has approximately 450 members.

Newman University is a public university based in the suburb of Bartley Green in Birmingham, England. The university was founded in 1968 as Newman College of Higher Education. From 2008 to 2013, it was known as Newman University College, gaining full university status in 2013.

King Edward VI Five Ways (KEFW) is a highly selective co-educational state grammar school for ages 11–18 in Bartley Green, Birmingham, England. One of the seven establishments of the Foundation of the Schools of King Edward VI, it is a voluntary aided school, with admission by highly selective examination. It was founded in Five Ways, Birmingham in 1883 and retained its name when it moved to Bartley Green in 1958. It is often ranked one of the best schools in Birmingham.

Quinton, is a residential area and ward of Birmingham, England just under 5 miles (8 km) west of the city centre. Formerly part of Halesowen parish, Quinton became part of Birmingham in 1909. Quinton was a village and the surrounding area was farmland until the 1930s when the first housing estates were developed. Most of the farmland had been built on by 1980 but some countryside remains in the form of Woodgate Valley Country Park. Along with Bartley Green, Harborne and Edgbaston, Quinton is a part of the Birmingham Edgbaston constituency.

Bartley Reservoir is a reservoir for drinking water in Birmingham, England, operated by Severn Trent Water. It covers 460,000 square metres (5,000,000 sq ft). The reservoir is about 1.05 kilometres (0.65 mi) long, over 450 metres (1,480 ft) wide, and about 18 metres (60 ft) deep at the dam. Its surface area is 0.45 square kilometres (0.17 sq mi). It is known as the place where Bill Oddie did much of his early birdwatching, and features in his books (notably Bill Oddie's Gone Birding) and television programmes. His first ever published article, for the West Midland Bird Club's annual report, was about the birds of the reservoir. The reservoir is also home to Bartley Sailing Club.

Senneleys Park is a public park located in Bartley Green, Birmingham, containing large open spaces, hedgerows and a tree-lined stream. Attractions include football pitches, a skate park, an outdoor playground, a BMX track, an outdoor gym and picnic tables.
