The Cowtown Rodeo is a famous rodeo in the United States which started in 1929. The event is at 7:30 on Saturday nights from May through September. In 1957 and 1958, Cowtown was syndicated on national television. It is located in Pilesgrove Township, New Jersey and Woodstown, New Jersey. Grant Harris and his family have been running the rodeo every Saturday night during the summer months since 1955, when it was first staged as a weekly event.

Pilesgrove Township is a township in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 4,183, an increase of 167 (+4.2%) from the 2010 census count of 4,016, which in turn reflected an increase of 93 (+2.4%) from the 3,923 counted in the 2000 census.Pile's Grove was first mentioned in a deed dated April 15, 1701, through the date of the township's original corporation is unknown. Pilesgrove was incorporated as one of New Jersey's original group of 104 townships that were established on February 21, 1798. Portions of the township were taken on December 6, 1769, to form Pittsgrove Township and on July 26, 1882, to create Woodstown. The township was named for Thomas Pyle.In 1979, Pilesgrove Township enacted the state's first right-to-farm law, protecting farming as a "natural right hereby ordained to exist as a permitted use everywhere in the Township of Pilesgrove."

Salem County Insane Asylum is located in Mannington Township, Salem County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1870 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 27, 2008.

Seven Stars Tavern is a historic building located at the junction of Sharptown-Swedesboro Road and Woodstown-Auburn Road in Pilesgrove Township of Salem County, New Jersey and near Woodstown. The building was built in 1762 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 17, 1976, for its significance in architecture, military, and social history. It is now a private residence.

Auburn is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It includes the Auburn section of Oldmans Township and extends southeast to include rural and semi-suburban land in Pilesgrove Township.It is in northern Salem County, bordered to the northeast by Oldmans Creek, which separates the community from Woolwich Township in Gloucester County. The New Jersey Turnpike passes through the northern part of the CDP, just south of Auburn village. The nearest turnpike access is 7 miles (11 km) to the southwest at the southern terminus of the highway near the Delaware Memorial Bridge, or 6 miles (10 km) to the northeast at Exit 2 near Swedesboro. Auburn was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,057.

As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 1,475, a decrease of 331 (−18.3%) from the 2010 census count of 1,806, which in turn reflected an increase of 247 (+15.8%) from the 1,559 counted in the 2000 census.

Moravian Church is a historic church building located on Swedesboro-Sharptown Road in the Oliphant's Mill (Porches Mill) section of Woolwich Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey. The church was dedicated in 1789 and documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) in 1938. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 3, 1973, for its significance in architecture and religion. The property is currently under the stewardship of the Gloucester County Historical Society.

Carneys Point Township is a township in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 8,637, an increase of 588 (+7.3%) from the 2010 census count of 8,049, which in turn reflected an increase of 365 (+4.8%) from the 7,684 counted in the 2000 census.Upper Penns Neck Township was formed on July 10, 1721, when Penn's Neck Township was subdivided and Lower Penns Neck Township (now Pennsville Township) was also formed. The township was incorporated by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798, as one of New Jersey's original group of 104 townships. Portions of the township were taken to form Oldmans Township (February 7, 1881) and Penns Grove borough (March 8, 1894). The township was renamed Carneys Point Township based on the results of a Township meeting held on November 10, 1976, after voters approved a referendum held eight days earlier.

The Mannington Township School District is a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Mannington Township, in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of one school, had an enrollment of 176 students and 21.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 8.4:1. In the 2016–17 school year, Mannington had the 31st smallest enrollment of any school district in the state, with 158 students.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. As of the 2021–22 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 399 students and 39.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.2:1.

Marshalltown is an unincorporated community located within Mannington Township, in Salem County, New Jersey. It has also been known as Frogtown.The community is centered at Marshalltown Road and Roosevelt Avenue, located 2.7 miles (4.3 km) southeast of Glenside and 3.6 miles (5.8 km) east-southeast of Pennsville.
