The City of Westminster Magistrates' Court was a magistrates' court located at 70 Horseferry Road, in the City of Westminster, London. It was originally called Horseferry Road Magistrates' Court, after the road in which it was sited. However, it was renamed in July 2006 following the closure of Bow Street Magistrates' Court. It served as the court where the Chief Magistrate of England and Wales sat, and all extradition and terrorism-related cases passed through the court. The court closed permanently on 22 September 2011, and was replaced on 27 September 2011 with Westminster Magistrates' Court, built on the site of Marylebone Magistrates' Court at 181 Marylebone Road. The court pictured has since been demolished, and replaced with a development of flats.

The Delegation of the European Union to the United Kingdom, formerly known as Representative of the European Union (specifically the Representative of the European Commission and the Representative of the European Parliament) in London are the diplomatic missions of the European Commission and the European Parliament in the United Kingdom.They are both located in Europa House, 32 Smith Square. The building was formerly the Conservative Party's Central Office from the late 1950s until 2004 and was famous as the place where the Conservatives planned and celebrated their election victories. It was then left vacant until 2009 when the EU chose it as their new London office, along with a new personalised postcode – SW1P 3EU. There was some criticism of the amount spent by the EU in acquiring and updating the interior of the building, with £20 million spent on purchasing the property and £5 million on revamping the building. It allegedly included the installation of bomb and bullet-proof windows.As a result of the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union on 31 January 2020, the Representative of the European Union was replaced by the Delegation of the European Union to the United Kingdom Since February 2020, the Ambassador of the Delegation of the EU to the UK has been João Vale de Almeida. The representative is referred to as ambassador, however in the United Kingdom full diplomatic status is only given to representatives of sovereign states.

The Department for Transport (DfT) is the United Kingdom government department responsible for the English transport network and a limited number of transport matters in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland that have not been devolved. The department is run by the Secretary of State for Transport, currently (since 24 July 2019) Grant Shapps. The expenditure, administration and policy of the Department for Transport are scrutinised by the Transport Committee.

Mulberry House, Number 36, Smith Square, is located in the City of Westminster, London. It was built in 1911 as a private house for Reginald McKenna, a politician and later Chairman of the Midland Bank. The architect was Edwin Lutyens. In 1930 the house was bought by Henry Mond, 2nd Baron Melchett. In conjunction with his wife, Gwen, Melchett employed the architect Darcy Braddell to undertake a major internal remodeling and redecoration. Braddell engaged a number of painters and sculptors, including Charles Sargeant Jagger to create what has been described as "one of the most important Art Deco interiors in London." After a period of institutional use in the post-war period, the house was reconverted to a private residence in the early 21st century.

Marsham Court is an apartment building on Marsham Street in Victoria in the City of Westminster in central London. It was designed in the Art Deco style by Thomas Bennett of T.P. Bennett & Son in 1937.The building has been home to many politicians and civil servants owning to its proximity to government offices and the Palace of Westminster. The Director of MI6, Maurice Oldfield, was a resident at flat No. 6 from the early 1970s until his death in 1981. Jeremy Thorpe the leader of the Liberal Party rented a one bedroom flat in Marsham Court from 1962.A large explosive device was discovered by officers from Special Branch hanging on railings outside Marsham Court on 13 October 1975. The bomb was near Lockett's restaurant which was directly under Oldfield's flat.The building contains 147 one and two bedroom flats and studios. The flats were fully serviced from inception, with residents served by butlers, maids and waiters. The front doors to apartments in the complex have an adjacent 'butlers cupboard' where residents would put clothes and shoes for cleaning overnight. In a 2009 article on living in Westminster the Financial Times commented on the residents of Marsham Court's amenities that "Such was the life of a middle-ranking civil servant in the days of empire. Evidence of the unrelenting march of change includes a second world war memo held in the building's records that reads: "Owing to the manpower shortage because of the war effort, residents are required to turn down their own beds"." Marsham Court originally had its own cocktail bar and restaurant.Marsham Court was the site of Shephard's restaurant for several years in the 2010s. Shepherd's was owned by Michael Caine, Peter Langham and Richard Shepherd.

The Centre for Policy Studies (CPS) is a think tank and pressure group in the United Kingdom. Its goal is to promote coherent and practical policies based on its founding principles of: free markets, "small state," low tax, national independence, self determination and responsibility. While being independent, the centre has historical links to the Conservative Party. It was co-founded by Sir Keith Joseph, Alfred Sherman and Margaret Thatcher in 1974 to challenge the post war consensus of Keynesianism, and to champion economic liberalism in Britain. With this in mind Keith Joseph originally wanted the think tank to study the social market economy, naming it the 'Ludwig Erhard Foundation' and 'Institute for a social market economy' until it was eventually settled on the benign 'Centre for Policy Studies'.The centre has since played a global role in the dissemination of free market economics alongside policy proposals claimed to be on the basis of responsibility and individual choice. It also asserts that it prioritises the concepts of duty, family, liberty, and the rule of law. The CPS states that it has a goal of serving as "the champion of the small state."

Transport House was the headquarters of the Transport and General Workers' Union (T&G), and also originally of the Labour Party, the Trades Union Congress, and the Workers' Travel Association. The term "Transport House" was once a metonym for both Labour Party Headquarters and the T&G. The building located on Smith Square and Dean Bradley Street, London, England was actually owned by the T&G and officially opened in May 1928. The T&G started to occupy it from 1926, moving from their first headquarters in Matthew Parker Street. The TUC moved out to Congress House between 1956 and 1958. The Labour Party moved out in 1980, transferring its headquarters to what later became known as John Smith House. The T&G remained until the 1990s, when they moved to a modern building on Theobalds Road, Holborn, which is now also known as Transport House. The original building is now called Local Government House and houses the headquarters of the Local Government Association and a conference centre. The local headquarters of the T&G in a number of other cities were also called Transport House.

The Paviours Arms was a public house in Neville House, Page Street, City of Westminster, that was said to be London's most complete Art Deco pub.The pub was designed by T.P. Bennett & Son, around 1937. It closed in May 2003 in order for the owner, Land Securities Trillium, to redevelop Neville House. The pub was close to the Houses of Parliament, making it popular with politicians, leading to an Early Day Motion in April 2003 signed by 67 members of Parliament calling on the developers and Westminster City Council to protect it from destruction. It was, nonetheless, demolished along with the rest of Neville House later in 2003.

St John's Smith Square is a redundant church in the centre of Smith Square, Westminster, London. Sold to a charitable trust as a ruin following firebombing in the Second World War, it was restored as a concert hall. This Grade I listed church was designed by Thomas Archer and was completed in 1728 as one of the so-called Fifty New Churches. It is regarded as one of the finest works of English Baroque architecture, and features four corner towers and monumental broken pediments. It is often referred to as 'Queen Anne's Footstool' because as legend has it, when Archer was designing the church he asked the Queen what she wanted it to look like. She kicked over her footstool and said 'Like that!', giving rise to the building's four corner towers.

Marsham Street is a street in the City of Westminster in London, England. It is approximately one mile in length and runs south from Great Peter Street near Victoria Street and Parliament Square.

55 Tufton Street is a four storey Georgian era townhouse on Tufton Street, in Westminster, London, owned by businessman Richard Smith. Since the 2010s the building has hosted lobby groups and think tanks related to Brexit and climate change. A group of these think tanks, dubbed "The Nine Entities", use the building for biweekly meetings to coordinate policy and public messages.The nine lobby groups—the TaxPayers’ Alliance, the office of Peter Whittle (the former deputy leader of UKIP), Civitas, the Adam Smith Institute, Leave Means Leave, the Global Warming Policy Foundation, Brexit Central, the Centre for Policy Studies and the Institute for Economic Affairs—were accused by former Vote Leave employee Shahmir Sanni of using the meetings to "agree on a single set of right-wing talking points" and "securing more exposure to the public".The organisations it houses have close connections with those at nextdoor 57 Tufton Street, including the Centre for Policy Studies and CapX.
