Northside station

On November 15, 1937 an estimated 200 Ku Klux Klan members stormed the popular LGBT-serving nightclub, La Paloma, in an unincorporated area of Dade County, Florida, ordering patrons to leave and shutting the nightclub down for the evening.

Miami station is a train station in Miami-Dade County, Florida, on the border of Miami and Hialeah. It is the southern terminus for Amtrak's Silver Meteor and Silver Star trains. The station opened in 1978 to replace a 48-year-old Seaboard Air Line Railroad station. It is several blocks away from the Tri-Rail and Metrorail Transfer Station, but there is no direct connection between the two. The station was meant to be replaced in the mid-2010s by the Miami Intermodal Center next to the airport just to the south, but the platforms were too short (they can accommodate 10 car trains but not 12 car trains that are used in the winter). Negotiations are ongoing between Amtrak and FDOT, with a goal to come to an agreement in 2023.

Tri-Rail and Metrorail Transfer station is a Metrorail and Tri-Rail interchange station in Hialeah, Florida, northwest of the city of Miami proper. This station is located near the intersection of East 25th Street and East 11th Avenue in Hialeah, Florida, officially opening for service on March 6, 1989. The station was built as a connection for the Tri-Rail and Metrorail rail systems; though the Amtrak station, which is served by the Silver Meteor and Silver Star, is located only a few blocks away, it is not officially connected to this station. The Amtrak station was scheduled to be moved to the Miami Intermodal Center by late 2018, but was delayed by several years due to a platform length issue. A third Tri-Rail/Metrorail transfer station will begin service by 2023 at MiamiCentral, which provides direct access into Downtown Miami along with additional transfer options such as Brightline and Metromover.

Gladeview is a census-designated place (CDP) in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. The population was 14,927 at the 2020 census, up from 11,535 in 2010. Gladeview was originally a neighborhood of the city of Miami when it was annexed in 1925. With the arrival of the Great Depression, Miami gave up its jurisdiction and Gladeview became an unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza station is a station of the Metrorail rapid transit system in Gladeview, Florida, United States. The station is located at the intersection of West 27th Avenue (SR 9) and North 62nd Street/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, opening to service May 19, 1985.

West Little River is a census-designated place (CDP) in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. The population was 34,128 at the 2020 census.Most of West Little River was originally a neighborhood of the city of Miami when it was annexed into the city in 1925. With the arrival of the Great Depression, Miami gave up its jurisdiction and West Little River became an unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County.

Hialeah Hospital is a 378-bed acute care hospital started by Seventh-day Adventist physicians based on the health and Christian principles advocated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, with the motto: "Christian Care Through Modern Medical Science." It is located in Hialeah, Florida with a medical staff of over 900 employees. It has grown to be one of the largest private hospitals in Florida. Hospital services include a Senior ER and an Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit.

Brownsville station is a Metrorail station in Brownsville, Florida. It is located at the intersection of Northwest 27th Avenue (SR 9) and 52nd Street, opening to service May 19, 1985.

Brownsville (also known as Brown Sub) is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) that is part of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. As of the 2020 US census, the population was 16,583, up from 15,313 in 2010. After three decades of population loss, Brownsville gained population for the first time in over 40 years in the 2010 US Census.

Miami Central Senior High School is a secondary school located at 1781 NW 95th Street in West Little River, Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. Its current principal is Raymond Sands. Miami Central opened in 1959. Its school mascot and colors were chosen in honor of NASA and the inception of its space program, which was an event at the time of the school's opening. In the early 1990s, the school acquired a computer science magnet program, placed as part of the district's initiative to devote school space to certain magnet programs so as to attract minority students to less diverse schools. The school serves most of the northern fringes of the city of Miami, as well as parts of North Miami, Opa-locka, the village of Miami Shores, and the village of El Portal.

Georgette’s Tea Room House (also referred to as Georgette’s Tea House and Georgette’s Tea Room) is a former boarding house opened in 1940 by Georgette Scott Campbell. It catered to African American patrons during segregation in the American South. It would serve breakfast, lunch, tea and boarding to visitors and guests. It is located in the Brownsville section of the Miami metropolitan area of South Florida. The Tea Room received a historic designation in 1990. The Tea room is one of the properties owned by Bethany Seventh-day Adventist Church in Miami and is undergoing attempts of renovations by the Georgette Tea Room House organization.

Liberty City is a neighborhood in Miami, Florida, United States. The area is roughly bound by NW 79th Street to the north, NW 27th Avenue to the west, the Airport Expressway to the South, and Interstate 95 to the east. The neighborhood is home to one of the largest concentrations of African Americans in South Florida, as of the 2000 census. Although it was often known as "Model City" both historically and by the City of Miami government, residents more commonly call it Liberty City. It is serviced by the Miami Metrorail at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza and Brownsville stations along NW 27th Avenue.
