Strathfield, New South Wales

Strathfield Gardens in Strathfield, New South Wales, Australia, was previously called Fairholm. It is a building of historical significance and is listed in the NSW Heritage Register. It was built in the 1870s, and external additions were made to it in 1890 and 1925. It is the oldest surviving house in Strathfield. The property was for many years a private residence. It is now a retirement village.

In 1996 the Institute superseded St Patrick's College, Manly and St Columba's College, Springwood (itself earlier superseded in 1977) as the sole ecclesiastical theology faculty for the Catholic Church in New South Wales. The Seminary of the Good Shepherd, located at Homebush, is the house of formation and prepares students who are studying for ordination to the priesthood in the Catholic Church.

Mount St Mary Campus of the Australian Catholic University is a major campus of the Australian Catholic University, located in Strathfield, Municipality of Strathfield, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The main building of the campus, formerly the Mount Royal villa and now called the Edmund Rice Building and Barron Chapel, is a heritage-listed former mansion, and was later used as a college and primary school. Located at 25A Barker Road in Strathfield, it was designed by H.C. Kent, Sheerin & Hennessy and Hennessy Hennessy & Co and built in 1887 (with renovations in 1962 to adapt it to university use). It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 15 April 2016.The campus is owned by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney.

St Peter and St Paul Russian Orthodox Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox cathedral church at 3–5 Vernon Street, Strathfield, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The cathedral was built from 1951 to 1954. The cathedral is the seat for the Russian Orthodox Diocese of Australia since 1954, currently Bishop George Schaefer.The cathedral is listed on the Strathfield Local Environmental Plan. The Royal Australian Institute of Architects has included the building on its list of Twentieth Century Significant Buildings.

Strathfield South is a suburb, in the Inner West of Sydney, Australia in the state of New South Wales, 13 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the Strathfield local government area. The area was historically part of Druitt Town. Later it was part of Enfield, until Enfield Council was absorbed into Strathfield and Burwood councils, after which the part within Strathfield council was renamed Strathfield South. North Strathfield and Strathfield are separate suburbs, to the north. Strathfield South is located between Liverpool Road (Hume Highway) and the Cooks River, bordered on the east by Coronation Parade and to the west by the Enfield Marshalling Yards.

Founded in 1928 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers, the school operates in the tradition of Edmund Rice, founder of the Christian Brothers, and is administered by Edmund Rice Education Australia. As of 2007, the College enrolled approximately 1,430 students from Year 5 to Year 12.St Patrick's College is a member of the Independent Sporting Association, the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia, and the Junior School Heads Association of Australia.

Meriden, An Anglican School for Girls is an independent Anglican single-sex early learning, primary, and secondary day school for girls, located in Strathfield, an inner-western suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1897 by Jane Monckton, the school has a non-selective enrolment policy and currently caters for approximately 1650 students from early learning, through Year K to Year 12. Meriden is affiliated with the Association of Heads of Independent Girls' Schools (AHIGS), the Alliance of Girls' Schools Australasia, the Junior School Heads Association of Australia (JSHAA), and the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia (AHISA).

The house is now located within the grounds of Santa Maria Del Monte, the junior campus of Santa Sabina College, and is situated on the corner of The Boulevarde and Carrington Avenue, Strathfield. It is a heritage listed item on Municipality of Strathfield's Local Environmental Plan.

The Enfield Savoy Theatre (previously the Enfield Cinema; subsequently the Hoyts Savoy Theatre; also known as the Enfield Savoy) was a theatre and cinema located at 306-308 Liverpool Road, Enfield, a suburb in the inner west region of Sydney, New South Wales. The building now functions as a hardware store.

The Seminary of the Good Shepherd is the seminary of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney, and a number of dioceses from the province of New South Wales and beyond, including the Diocese of Broken Bay, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn, Diocese of Wollongong, Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle and Diocese of Bathurst. The seminary is principally administered by the Archdiocese of Sydney.

Santa Sabina College (abbreviated as Santa, Santa Sabina or SSC) is a multi-campus independent Roman Catholic, single-sex, early learning, primary and secondary day school for girls from Year 5 to Year 12; and a co-educational day school from early learning years through Prep to Year 4. Located on eight hectares in Strathfield, an inner-western suburb of Sydney; and on 97 hectares in Tallong, in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia; students are educated in the Dominican tradition. Established in 1894, Santa Sabina has a non-selective enrolment policy and as of 2007 catered to approximately 1,400 students.The College is owned by the Congregation of Dominican Sisters of Eastern Australia and the Solomon Islands and located within the Archdiocese of Sydney.
