The Balintawak Interchange , also known as the Balintawak Cloverleaf, is a two-level cloverleaf interchange in Quezon City, Metro Manila, the Philippines which serves as the junction between Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx). Opened in 1968 as part of the initial 37-kilometer (23 mi) NLEx segment between Quezon City and Guiguinto, Bulacan, it was one of the first projects of the Construction and Development Corporation of the Philippines, now the Philippine National Construction Corporation (PNCC).Construction of the interchange was precipitated by the large number of motor vehicles in Manila and the surrounding suburbs in the 1960s, which contributed to significant traffic congestion. On June 25, 1966, President Ferdinand Marcos ordered the Department of Public Works to undertake the construction of a number of road projects to be financed through World War II reparations, including the construction of interchanges on vital intersections along EDSA. This order would later lead to the construction of this interchange, replacing a previous roundabout between EDSA, A. Bonifacio Avenue, and Quirino Highway, and the Magallanes Interchange between EDSA and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), which opened in 1975. A shrine to Andres Bonifacio would later be constructed inside the interchange, which underwent a ₱13 million renovation in 2009.Flooding in the area around the Balintawak Interchange is a problem, with the interchange being named in 2014 as one of the twenty-two most flood-prone roadways in Metro Manila. In 2015, the Manila North Tollways Corporation, the concessionaire of NLEX, spent close to ₱70 million to improve the interchange's drainage systems in order to mitigate flooding. In addition to flooding, the interchange has been criticized by columnist Cito Beltran of The Philippine Star for being rife with corrupt policemen and petty crime.Apart from the wet markets and drop-off points of goods from the north, Ayala Malls Cloverleaf and the entire Cloverleaf complex is located southeast of the interchange. An LRT-1 station serves the location east of the interchange.

Balingasa, commonly known as Balintawak and Cloverleaf, is an administrative division in eastern Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is an urban barangay located in Quezon City, at the city's western boundary with Caloocan. The barangay's borders are defined by EDSA and barangay Unang Sigaw to the north, barangays Pag-Ibig Sa Nayon and Damar to the south, barangay Manresa in the southeast, and barangay Apolinario Samson and Gregorio Araneta Avenue in the east.

Malvar LRT station is a proposed station on the Manila LRT Line 1 under the North Extension Project. The station will be located on the intersection of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue and General Malvar Street in Bagong Barrio, Caloocan. Once built, it will serve passengers to LRT Line-1 from the North Luzon Expressway along with Balintawak station.

De La Salle Araneta University, also referred to by its acronym (Araneta U or DLSAU), is a private Catholic Lasallian co-educational basic and higher education institution supervised by the Philippine District of the De La Salle Christian Brothers in Malabon, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was established in 1946 in Bulacan and named Araneta Institute of Agriculture. It was then transferred to the city of Malabon the year after. In 1978 it was renamed the Gregorio Araneta University Foundation. Integration of the university with the DLS System started in 1987 until 2002 when it officially became a member of the system. It is the fifth university in the De La Salle schools network. The university specializes in Veterinary Medicine and Agricultural Sciences. It is a member of De La Salle Philippines, a network of several Lasallian educational institutions within the Lasallian East Asia District.

10th Avenue, formerly known as Macario Asistio Sr. Avenue or simply Asistio Avenue, is an undivided four-lane street in Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines that stretches east–west, bisecting south Caloocan. Like most avenues in the Grace Park area, it crosses a grid system of numbered streets that run from north to south, with other numbered avenues running from east to west. 10th Avenue was formally renamed as "Asistio Avenue" prior to the reversion of its current name, owing to it being the tenth avenue running east–west from the city's border with Manila in the south. The former renaming was done in 1984 to honor the former mayor of Caloocan who served from 1962 to 1971 and the father of another Caloocan mayor Boy Asistio, but has since been disregarded and reverted.10th Avenue and the present-day Grace Park district, through which it travels, was a pre–World War II civilian airfield known as the Manila North Airfield or Grace Park. This airfield, which opened in 1935 near the then-newly built Bonifacio Monument, was Manila's first commercial airport that served as a hub for Philippine Airlines for its first domestic routes. The airport was decommissioned after the war and was transformed by the government into a residential and industrial area.

Roosevelt station ( ROHZ-ə-velt; Tagalog: [ˈruːsbɛlt]) is the former northern terminus of Line 1 of the Manila Light Rail Transit System and was constructed as part of the Line 1 North Extension Project. It opened on October 22, 2010. Roosevelt is one of the two Line 1 stations serving Quezon City, the other being Balintawak. It is located in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay (Bago Bantay), Quezon City and its neighbors, Project 7 (Veterans Village and Bungad) and Project 8 (Bahay Toro, Sangandaan, Baesa). It links to Congressional Avenue and Fernando Poe Jr. Avenue. The station is named after the latter's name by the time of the station's operation, Roosevelt Avenue, which was named in honor of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The station is temporarily closed since September 5, 2020 to make way for the ongoing construction of the North Triangle Common Station.

Manila Central University (MCU), formerly known as the Escuela de Farmacia del Liceo de Manila, is a private, non-sectarian, stock basic and higher education institution located on EDSA, Caloocan, Philippines. It was founded in 1904 by Dr. Alejandro M. Albert who also was its first Director. MCU is the first Pharmacy school run by Filipinos, and the first Nursing school that offered the 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in the Philippines. The patron of the university is Minerva. MCU was a member university of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines from 1952 to 1962.

Fernando Poe Jr. Avenue (also referred to as FPJ Avenue and still commonly referred as its former name Roosevelt Avenue) is the principal north–south tertiary road serving the San Francisco del Monte district (colloquially known as Frisco) of Quezon City, Philippines. It runs with a length of 2.871 kilometers (1.784 mi) between Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) to the north and Quezon Avenue to the south. The avenue is named after Fernando Poe Jr., a renowned actor and National Artist of the Philippines. As Roosevelt Avenue, it was named after United States president Franklin D. Roosevelt.The avenue and the adjacent area are also referred to by local residents as Muñoz, being the site of a popular wet market, the Muñoz Market, located at the corner of FPJ Avenue and EDSA. The market was named after its owner Demetrio Muñoz, a philanthropist, businessman and a presidential adviser during the term of Diosdado Macapagal from the province of Pampanga. At the opposite end of FPJ on Quezon Avenue is Fisher Mall, a commercial establishment built on the land that used to be the main terminal of the Pangasinan Transportation Company (PANTRANCO) that went bankrupt in 1993. FPJ Avenue is also home to the former transmitter of Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC).
