Waliv is a census town in Thane district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Gokhivare is a census town in Vasai-Virar taluka of Palghar district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Until recently when Palghar district was formed on 1 August 2014, Gokhivare came under the original Thane district. Gokhivare is governed by Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation.

Virar high-speed railway station is a proposed high-speed railway station on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. This station is located in near Sahakar Nagar, Virar East, Virar, Maharashtra, India. It is the third station of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor, after Thane station and before Boisar station.

Tungareshwar Temple is located in Vasai (2177 feet above the ground on the highest Mountain plateau of Tungareshwar), Palghar District, Maharashtra, India. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, about 3 to 4 kilometres from the "Tungareshwar Entrance Gate", opens at morning 05:00 AM to 06:00 PM. This is one of the Lord Shiva Temple and also have Ram Kund on backside area (Kunds are human-made small water bodies). Alongside the Tungareshwar Temple, a small temple of Goddess "Khodiyaar Mataji" (with her vehicle crocodile). Being said about God and Goddess, Tungareshwar attracts devotees who visit both these temples at special occasions and festival seasons like "Khodiyar Jayanti" which comes in around February and "Maha Shivratri" in Shravana Months as Hindu calendar, falling between July and August every year. Bhandara (a religious publicly organized feast) takes place every year at the "Mahashivratri Festival" and every Monday at the Shravan month.

Vasai Assembly constituency is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Maharashtra state in western India. It is one of the six Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in Palghar district. Vasai is part of Palghar Lok Sabha constituency along with five other Vidhan Sabha constituencies in Palghar district, namely Dahanu, Vikramgad, Palghar, Boisar and Nalasopara. Before the delimitation, Vasai Assembly constituency was part of the Mumbai North Lok Sabha constituency.

Nalasopara Assembly constituency is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) constituencies of Maharashtra state, western India. This constituency is located in Palghar district.

Manickpur is a small village in the Vasai (Bassein) township of the Palghar district in the Maharashtra, India.

Virar (Marathi pronunciation: [ʋiɾaːɾ]; station code: VR) is a railway station on the Western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Virar is a terminus station. It is around one and a half hours away by train from Churchgate. Virar is a very crowded area, among other adjacent stations like Vasai Road because it is a major tourist spot. It used to be the only railway station to have services to other stations in Palghar District(in which the city of Virar itself is located), Saphale, Palghar, Dahanu and distant southern cities of Gujarat like Vapi, Surat etc. Since 2013 however, the Western Railway zone Suburban network has been extended up to Dahanu. Virar, a satellite city of Mumbai, was connected with the Salsette Island by electric train since 1925.
