Beechingstoke

Marden Henge (also known as Hatfield Earthworks) is the largest Neolithic henge enclosure discovered to date in the United Kingdom. The monument is north-east of the village of Marden, Wiltshire, within the Vale of Pewsey and between the World Heritage Sites of Avebury and Stonehenge.

Marden is a small village and civil parish 6 miles (9.7 km) southeast of Devizes in the county of Wiltshire, south west England. The parish is in the Vale of Pewsey which carries the upper section of the Salisbury Avon; to the south the parish extends into Salisbury Plain.

Wilsford Henge is the site of a Neolithic henge, west of the village of Wilsford, Wiltshire in the United Kingdom (grid reference SU09305732). The site was discovered from cropmarks in aerial photographs. The monument lies within the Vale of Pewsey, a short distance south of the large henge known as Marden Henge.

Patney is a small village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, in the Vale of Pewsey about 4.5 miles (7.2 km) south-east of Devizes. The infant Salisbury Avon forms part of the southern boundary of the parish.

Chirton is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, on the southern edge of the Vale of Pewsey about 5 miles (8 km) south-east of Devizes. The parish includes the hamlet of Conock, about half a mile west of Chirton village. Both settlements are just north the A342 Devizes-Andover road and are reached by separate lanes from the main road. The northern boundary of the parish follows approximately the course of the River Avon, and in the south the parish extends onto Salisbury Plain.

Woodborough railway station is a former railway station in Woodborough, Wiltshire, UK on the Reading to Taunton line. The line opened in 1862, providing a link to Devizes. The station closed in 1966 as part of the Beeching cuts. Today the line is still in use and the station's sidings remain in place.

Stanton St Bernard is a village and civil parish in the Vale of Pewsey, Wiltshire, England. Its nearest town is Devizes, about 6 miles (10 km) away to the west. The parish is tall and narrow, extending north onto the Marlborough Downs where it includes Milk Hill, the highest point in Wiltshire.

Woodborough is a small village and civil parish in the Vale of Pewsey, Wiltshire, England, about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) west of Pewsey.

The Vale of Pewsey or Pewsey Vale is an area of Wiltshire, England to the east of Devizes and south of Marlborough, centred on the village of Pewsey.

All Cannings (pronounced "Allcannings") is a village and civil parish in the Vale of Pewsey in the English county of Wiltshire, about 4 miles (6 km) east of Devizes. The parish includes the nearby smaller settlement of Allington. The southern part of the parish lies in the Vale of Pewsey, and in the north the parish extends some 3 miles (5 km) onto the Marlborough Downs and includes Tan Hill, which is (by a small margin) the second highest hill in Wiltshire. Etchilhampton Water, a tributary of the River Avon, forms part of the southern boundary of the parish. Moor Brook flows south through Allington and All Cannings villages to join it.

Bottlesford is a small village in Wiltshire, England, in the parish of North Newnton. It is in the Vale of Pewsey and is about 3 miles (4.8 km) west of Pewsey. There is a pub, the Seven Stars Inn.The Berks and Hants Extension Railway, opened from Hungerford to Devizes in 1862, passes north of Bottlesford. Sometime after 1958 the boundary of Woodborough parish was moved south to follow the railway, transferring the north end of Bottlesford into Woodborough. The properties immediately north of the railway are labelled as Free Trade on a 1958 map, but that name is not used today.Until sometime after 1971, Bottlesford was within Manningford parish, in the tithing of Manningford Bohune which had been part of Wilsford parish until 1871.
