Opus One Winery is a winery in Oakville, California, United States. The wine was called napamedoc until 1982 when it was named Opus One. The winery was founded as a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi to create a single Bordeaux style blend based upon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. It is located across State Route 29 from the Robert Mondavi Winery. The creation of this winery venture in 1980 was big news in the wine industry; de Rothschild's involvement added an air of respectability to the burgeoning Napa wine region. The first vintage, 1979 was released in 1984 at the same time as the 1980 vintage. For a while it was the most expensive Californian wine, and to date still ranks among the most expensive red wines produced in the Napa Valley, with the 2014 vintage retailing for $325 per bottle. In 1989 a new winery was built just down the road, the first vintage from the new winery was from 1991 and was released in 1994.Since 1993, they have produced a second wine, Overture.

Far Niente Winery is a winery based in Oakville, California, located within the Oakville AVA appellation. It was founded in 1885 by John Benson, but abandoned during Prohibition in 1919. The property was restored by Gil Nickel in 1979. The winery now produces wines from Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.The name of the winery comes from the Italian phrase dolce far niente, meaning "the sweetness of doing nothing". It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Spoto Family Wines is an ultra-boutique winery in Sacramento, California that is owned and operated by the Spoto Family. The winemaker, Stuart Spoto, makes Bordeaux-style blends with grapes from the Oakville Station (part of the historic To Kalon vineyard) in Oakville (the heart of the Napa Valley). Stuart's grandfather, Enrico Rodolfo Spoto, Sr., immigrated to the United States on December 1, 1913 from Catania, Sicily at the age of 15. He moved to California, where he started a family and ran a fruit and nut tree nursery. His son, Henry Spoto, Jr., a first generation Italian-American, taught himself to make wine. At the age of 16, Henry's son Stuart expressed an interest in the process. Henry, at the time a Cal-Trans appraiser, made wine only in his spare time. Over time, Henry began spending more time making wine and seeking advice from the experts at the University of California at Davis' Viticulture and Enology Department. In the early years, Henry and Stuart learned the techniques and chemistry necessary to make good wines. Stuart later attended the University of California at Davis and studied chemical and civil engineering. Winemaking became a hobby for both men, and in 2000, they began creating their own individual vintages. In 2004, Stuart built and licensed the first bonded winery in a residential neighborhood in Sacramento County. This allowed Stuart to sell his wines. By 2010, Stuart took the wine business on full-time. In November 2010 Spoto Family Wines was invited to be a member of the Oakville Wine Growers Association which promotes the Oakville AVA as the premier Cabernet region in the US. A year later Spoto Family Wines was granted membership into the Napa Valley Vintners, an organization that promotes the wines from the Napa Valley region.The whole family is involved with the winery. Stuart's wife Christy is an integral part of the day-to-day operations and production at the winery. Stuart's oldest daughter, Arianna, graduated in 2011 from California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo with a degree in wine and viticulture. She has worked with the wine distribution, and is currently working in the industry in Napa Valley and Australia. His youngest daughter, Alexi, manages the winery's public relations and social media accounts. Spoto Family Wines were served at two major wine events in 2012: The Napa Valley Auction where Spoto Family Wines was part of a live auction item raising $150k for charity and a Taste of Oakville at Carnegie Hall where Spoto poured his wines in the historic Carnegie Hall in New York. Silver Oak Cellars is a family-owned, California winery dedicated to producing only Cabernet Sauvignon. Silver Oak was established in 1972 by Ray Duncan and Justin Meyer. It is currently operated by Ray's sons David Duncan, who serves as the President and CEO, and his brother, Tim Duncan, who serves as Executive Vice President. Silver Oak has two wineries; one in Oakville in the Napa Valley and one in Healdsburg in the Alexander Valley. The Duncan Family also established Twomey Cellars in 1999, which has wineries in Calistoga and Healdsburg. In 2007, the ColoradoBiz cited Silver Oak as one of a dozen California wineries which "have reached cult status" for its Cabernet Sauvignon production and occupies an "important niche in California's wine industry." In 2016, Silver Oak's Oakville winery became the first commercial winery in the world to earn the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum Certification for efficient energy use; their Alexander Valley winery was also granted the certification in the "new building" category in 2018.

The Atkinson House in Rutherford, California, at 8440 St. Helena Hwy., was built in 1881. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.It is Queen Anne in style, and its "exterior is distinguished by a cut stone foundation, wrap-around porch, fishscale shingles on the gable end, and polygonal tower."It was deemed significant "for its association with the 'Golden Age of Wine' in the Napa Valley during the 1880s. The building was the main house for the award-winning Ewer and Atkinson Winery in Rutherford which was established in 1881. Their successes and failures closely paralleled those of the burgeoning wine industry in Napa County during the 1880s. The house is also significant in the architectural history of the area. It is a good representative example of rural residential Queen Anne design in the Napa area.

St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery is a 100% estate winery located in the Napa Valley of California, with a vineyard and winery in Rutherford, and a 1,531 acre ranch, Dollarhide, in the Napa Valley foothills.The wines currently grown, produced, and bottled at St. Supéry include Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, along with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Sémillon, and Moscato. The Rubicon Estate Winery (formerly Niebaum-Coppola Estate Winery and once again Inglenook) is located in Rutherford, California, United States. The winery sits on a portion of the historic Napa Valley property first acquired in 1879 by a Finnish Sea Captain Gustave Niebaum, founder of the Inglenook Winery. In 2011, owners Francis and Eleanor Coppola acquired the Inglenook trademark and renamed the winery Inglenook (winery).
