Little Rock Union Station

Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families (AACF) is a non-profit advocacy organization which encourages public policy in Arkansas that will benefit children and their families. Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families was founded in 1977 by attorney Hillary Rodham as a non-partisan 501(c)(3) group and continues to be supported by a wide variety of individuals and organizations.

The Terminal Hotel is a historic commercial building located on the southeast corner of Markham and Victory Streets in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a three-story Classical Revival brick building, set across Victory Street from Little Rock Union Station. It was opened in March 1909 as a railroad hotel, serving both passengers and railroad employees for many years until hotel operations ended in the late 1960s. It was later purchased and converted into residential housing units.The Terminal Hotel Company was incorporated in July 1908 and contracted with Little Rock architect Charles L. Thompson to design the structure. The ground floor was to be occupied with a barber shop, restaurant, drug store, hotel lobby and other accessories of hotel operation. The original Little Rock Union Depot structure included a hotel and restaurant operated by C.A. Pratt. Since the new Union Station was not going to include hotel accommodations in the building, the Terminal Hotel was intended as the replacement for those facilities. The proprietor of the Terminal Hotel was Miss Mary A. Crofton, who had been an employee of Pratt's Hotel and Restaurant for twenty years. The Terminal Hotel utilized a buff colored brick identical to that used for the new Union Station. The Terminal Hotel was opened for business on March 26, 1909, about six months before the new Union Station actually opened. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The Dan Stowers Office Building is a historic commercial building at 1516 West 3rd Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a single-story masonry structure, with an International style design by architect Dan Stowers, Sr. It was built in 1961, and served as the office of Stowers and his son, Dan Jr., until 2013. The building is notable for its Mid-Century Modern design, featuring curtain-wall windows, porcelain enamel panels, and blocks of haydite in its construction.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

The Esso Standard Oil Service Station is a former automobile service station at 1600 West 3rd Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a single story rectangular building, built out of concrete blocks and finished with a baked enamel on steel exterior. It has three service bays on the left side, with original overhead glass-paned doors, and an office and sales space on the right side. The right side has a short canopy protruding from it, also built of concrete with a baked enamel finish. Built in 1957, it is a rare mid-century service station in the city.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

The McDonald–Wait–Newton House is a historic house at 1406 Cantrell Road in Little Rock, Arkansas. U.S. Senator Alexander McDonald lived in the house and Robert Francis Catterson stayed at the house during his time as a U.S. Marshall.It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick building, with a mansard roof providing a full third story. The main facade is five bays wide, with a projecting central section topped by a mansarded tower. The roof is pierced by dormers with segmented-arch tops, and windows framed by decorative hoods. The main entrance is set in the base of the tower, with an elliptical stained glass light above. A porch shelters the entrance and wraps around to the right side, with a modillioned cornice and bracketed posts. Built in 1869, it is the last surviving post-Civil War mansion built along what became known as "Carpetbaggers' Row", as it is where a number of Northerners settled when moving to the city.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The house today hosts the "1836 Club", a social club.

The Abrams House is a historic house located in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Arkansas Confederate Soldiers Monument, also known as Defense of the Flag, is located on the east side of the Arkansas State Capitol grounds in Little Rock, just off 4th Street. It is a five-tiered marble structure, topped by a bronze statue of an angel standing on a sphere, and a bronze Confederate Army soldier on the front of its fourth tier. It was erected in 1904–05, with funding from a variety of sources, including the state, primarily through the efforts of a consortium of Confederate memorial groups. Originally located prominently near the main eastern entrance to the capitol building, it was later moved to its present location on the northeast lawn.The monument was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The Isaac Homard House is a historic house at 1217 West 3rd Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick building, with an ornate four-column temple front supported by fluted columns. The gable above is fully pedimented, with a central field of slate adorned by wood carving. Built in 1905 for a railroad machinist, it is a significant local example of Classical Revival architecture. The building has been rehabilitated for use as professional offices. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The Leiper-Scott House is a historic house at 312 South Pulaski Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a single-story brick structure, with a hip roof adorned with gabled and hipped projections and dormers in an asymmetrical style typical of the Queen Anne period. A porch extends across part of the front around to the side, supported by Tuscan columns mounted on brick piers, with a balustrade between them. The house was built in 1902 for Eric Leiper, owner of a local brickyard, and is locally unusual as a relatively modestly-scaled house built in brick.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Episcopal Collegiate School is an independent college preparatory school located in Little Rock, Arkansas established in 1998 under the name "The Cathedral School." In July 2003, it changed its name to Episcopal Collegiate School. It has a total student body of approximately 780 students and an average class size of 15, and the teacher to student ratio is approximately 7:1. It has a financial endowment of over $50 million, which was contributed by Jackson T. Stephens, his son, Warren Stephens and daughter-in-law, Harriet C. Stephens. Episcopal Collegiate School's colors are hunter green, white, and navy blue and its mascot is the Wildcat.

The Lincoln Avenue Viaduct, also known as the Cantrell Road Bridge, is a historic bridge, now carrying the westbound lanes of Cantrell Road (Arkansas Highway 10) across railroad tracks in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. The bridge is a rainbow arch structure built out of reinforced concrete, with an arch length of 90 feet (27 m), and a total structure length of 144 feet (44 m). The bridge was built in 1928 by the Missouri-Pacific Railroad and given to the city; it is the only bridge of its type in the state.The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The General Assembly of Arkansas is the state legislature of the U.S. state of Arkansas. The legislature is a bicameral body composed of the upper house Arkansas Senate with 35 members, and the lower Arkansas House of Representatives with 100 members. All 135 representatives and state senators represent an equal number of constituent districts. The General Assembly convenes on the second Monday of every other year. A session lasts for 60 days unless the legislature votes to extend it. The governor of Arkansas can issue a "call" for a special session during the interims between regular sessions. The General Assembly meets at the Arkansas State Capitol in Little Rock.
