Zachenberg

The Buswartehobel (German for Bus stop plane or literally Bus waiting plane) is a plane-shaped bus shelter in Zachenberg in the Bavarian Forest. It is located at the municipality connection road (Gemeindeverbindungsstraße) between Zachenberg and Köckersried, a short distance after the end of the village of Zachenberg. For more than twenty years, a conventional bus shelter stood at this location. As it was in a decayed and leaky condition, it needed replacement. A local carpenter created the Buswartehobel. Directly adjoining is the Vogelhobel (bird plane), a plane-shaped nest box.

Ruhmannsfelden (German pronunciation: [ʁuːmansˈfɛldn̩]) is a larger municipality in the district of Regen, in Bavaria, Germany.

The Einödriegel is a mountain, 1,120.6 m above sea level (NHN), in the Bavarian Forest in Germany. It rises southwest of the Lower Bavarian county town of Regen and northeast of the county town of Deggendorf. It is the highest point in the Danube Hills and the county of Deggendorf and lies in the municipality of Grafling. Neighbouring mountains are the Geißkopf, the Dreitannenriegel and the Breitenauriegel, which all lie along the same ridge near Bischofsmais. The Einödriegel has good views from the top to the west and northeast and an imposing summit cross with rest benches. In the winter a ski lift runs up the mountain from the Unterbreitenau, which is part of the Geißkopf ski area. The top may be reached on foot on a waymarked footpath. The summit cross does not stand on the highest point of the mountain. The latter is just under 100 metres south of the cross immediately next to the trail on a small rock group which is surrounded by trees and has no views. According especially to older geographical and lexical works, the mountains of the Hinterer Forest ( the Arber, Rachel, Lusen and others) are already counted as part of the Bohemian Forest, so based on that definition the Einödriegel would be the highest peak in the Bavarian Forest. Even in 1982 the Brockhaus wrote in an article entitled Bayerischer Wald that: "in a geographical sense the Bavarian Forest is that part of the Bohemian Forest that rises as the Vorderer Wald (Danube Hills) between the rivers Danube and Regen (at the Einödriegel to 1,121 m)".

The 1,043-metre-high Geißriegel is a mountain in the Danube Hills, the anterior part of the Bavarian Forest, southwest of the Lower Bavarian county town of Regen and northeast of the county town of Deggendorf. It lies within the municipality of Grafling in the county of Deggendorf. Together with the Dreitannenriegel (1090.2 m), the Steinberg (999 m), the Hochoberndorfer Berg (806.7 m) and the Ulrichsberg (636 m), it forms a group of mountains to the east of the valley of Graflinger Tal that separate the villages of Grafling and Bischofsmais. Other nearby peaks are the Breitenauriegel and the Geißkopf.

Vogelsang is a 1,022-metre-high (3,353 ft) mountain in Bavaria, Germany. It is located in the Bernried municipality, south-west of the Regen district and north-east of Deggendorf. It lies in the western foothills of the Bavarian Forest. Along with Butzen (775 m or 2,543 ft) and Hinterberg (666 m or 2,185 ft), Vogelsang forms the boundary of the Graflinger Valley. Other neighboring hills include Rauhe Kulm (1,050 m or 3,440 ft), Hochriedriegel (934 m or 3,064 ft), and Riedberg (998 m or 3,274 ft).

Teisnach (Northern Bavarian: Deisna) is a larger municipality in the district of Regen in Bavaria in Germany.

The Breitenauriegel (colloquially also called the Breitenauer Riegel) is a mountain in the Bavarian Forest of Germany. The mountain is 1,116 m above sea level (NHN) high and rises from the crest of the Vorderer Bavarian Forest near Bischofsmais and the neighbouring summits of the Geißkopf and the Dreitannenriegel. At the top is a summit rock with a summit cross and view looking northwest towards Gotteszell. North of the Breitenauriegel, towards, Geißkopf, is the plateau of Oberbreitenau. Various footpaths from Habischried, Bischofsmais, Rusel and Rohrmünz, including the Main-Danube Way with the Ostlinie make their way to the summit. About 750 metres southeast of the top is a works hut for the Deggendorf branch of the mountain rescue service, the Bergwacht.The peak and most of the mountainsides are in the Special Area of Conservation called the Deggendorfer Vorwald.

Grafling is a municipality in the district of Deggendorf in Bavaria in Germany.

The Dreitannenriegel is a mountain, 1,090.2 m above sea level (NHN), in the Bavarian Forest. The mountain rises from the crest of the Anterior Bavarian Forest high above the Lower Bavarian county town of Deggendorf and lies in the municipality of Grafling. Nearby mountains are the Breitenauriegel, the Geißkopf and the Einödriegel.At the summit is a large summit cross and a display board, that explains the panorama which extends over large parts of Lower Bavaria. On clear autumn days in föhn conditions the Bavarian Alps may also be visible. Several footpaths lead to the Dreitannenriegel from Grafling, Gotteszell, Habischried, Bischofsmais and Rusel. One of the steepest ascents in the Anterior Bavarian Forest runs along Path 3 from Mietraching in Deggendorf up through the Sauloch to Rohrmünz (c. 45 minutes) and from there almost directly up the fall line to the top. This section should only be attempted with suitable footwear as, especially in the area of the summit, smooth rock faces have to be negotiated. The summit and a large proportion of the mountainsides are part of the Special Area of Conservation called the Deggendorfer Vorwald.
