Oppsal Church in Oslo, Norway is the parish church for the Oppsal congregation. It is a church center erected in concrete and natural stone, according to drawings by the architects H. W. Simers and H. Chr. Gaaserud. Oppsal Church was consecrated in 1961. It has a high freestanding bell tower. 400 seats, in addition to an adjacent church hall with 200 seats, separated from the church room by a folding door, as well as a kitchen. The great crucifix in the altar wall acts as an altarpiece, and is made by Victor Sparre, together with the church's other stained glass windows. The stained glass measure a total of 220 m², which is the largest area of glass art in any Norwegian church that was built after 1945. The pulpit of wood and the altar and the baptismal font is in soapstone were designed by the architects. The new digital church organ (Allan H-III 370 Heritage) is from 2013.Downstairs there is a smaller hall and a shelter, which can be used for various activities for children and adolescents. There is also an office wing. The three church bells in the separate bell tower were cast by Olsen Nauen Bell Foundry and were mounted in 1961. They are named "The Way", "The Truth", and "The Life ".Oppsal Church is listed by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage.

The station was opened as a subway station 29 October 1967. Karl Stenersen was the station's architect. Rail service through Godlia is older, having opened as a tram line already in 1926.Access to the station is from Godliaveien which passes below the line immediately south of the station. The neighborhood around the station is mainly residential, with several detached houses.

Østensjø (pronounced [ˈœ̂sːtn̩ˌʂøː] (listen)) is a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway. The borough is in the southeastern part of Oslo. It is well known for its proximity to the forested area of Østmarka, a popular resort and hiking area for the citizens of Oslo and Lørenskog. Østensjø consists of the suburbs of Bøler, Abildsø, Bogerud, Skullerud, Ulsrud, Hellerud, Trasop, Oppsal and Manglerud, all located around Lake Østensjøvannet. The Østensjøvannet area has been a protected wildlife reserve since 1992. Østensjø has traditionally been a Norwegian middle and working class borough, compared to the more immigrant populated boroughs in Oslo East End, like Alna, Grorud, Stovner and Søndre Nordstrand. The club IL Manglerud Star which is known for ice hockey and football is located here.

Manglerudhallen is the name of two arenas, an indoor ice hockey arena and a multi-purpose indoor arena, located in Manglerud, Oslo, Norway. The capacity of the ice hockey arena is 2,000 and it was opened in 1979. It is the home arena of the Manglerud Star ice hockey team.

Østensjøvannet (pronunciation ) is a lake located in the Østensjø borough in Oslo, Norway. It is well known for the wide variety of birds and other wildlife that can be found there. It is currently a wildlife preserve, though urban development posed a serious threat to the lake and its environs during the 1980s and early 1990s.

Ulsrud is a neighbourhood in Oslo, Norway. Previously an ancient farm, and located between the lakes Østensjøvannet and Ulsrudvannet.The area is served by the Ulsrud station of the Østensjø Line on the Oslo Metro.

Tveita is a subway station on the Furuset Line of the Oslo Metro between Hellerud and Haugerud, located in the Alna borough of Oslo, Norway. The station is the first one on Furusetbanen that is not shared with another line. It was opened as part of the original line in 1970. Tveita is located underneath the shopping centre Tveita senter. The neighborhood of Tveita is a dense residential area with several large apartment buildings.

Hellerud was a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway up to January 1, 2004, when it became part of the new borough of Alna. It is also a traditional neighbourhood located within this area to the south of Tveita and Haugerud and north of Oppsal. It borders on the forest of Østmarka.
