Drongelen, Haagoort, Gansoijen en Doeveren

Drongelen is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Altena. The village was first mentioned in 1270 as de Drungele, and might mean "open forest near the Drongel river".The church of Drongelen was destroyed by a flood in 1509, and not rebuilt until 1700. In November and December 1944, almost the entire village and the church were destroyed during the fighting between the Allied Forces and the German army. A wooden church was donated by Sweden as a temporary church. In 1951, a new church was rebuilt. The wooden church was moved to Amstelveen where it burnt down in 2000.Drongelen was home to 358 people in 1840. The school closed in 1984 and became the village house. There is a free car ferry between Drongen and Waalwijk.Drongelen was a separate municipality until 1923, when it was merged with Eethen. Before 1908, the name of the municipality was Drongelen, Haagoort, Gansoijen en Doeveren.

Eethen is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Altena. The village was first mentioned in 850 as Atina. The etymology is unclear. Eethen developed on a sand hill in the Middle Ages and part of the original ring road is still visible.The Dutch Reformed church dates from the 12th century. The tower was added in the late-14th century. In 1944, it was severely damaged by World War II and was restored and reconstructed between 1948 and 1951.Eethen was home to 310 people 1840. Eethen was a separate municipality between 1923 and 1973. It was formed by the merging of the municipalities of Drongelen, Genderen, and Meeuwen, and became a part of Aalburg in 1973.

The village was first mentioned in the late-11th century Ganderon, and means "settlement on the Gander River". Genderen is a stretch out village which developed in the Middle Ages along the Bergse Maas and was part of the Land van Altena.The Dutch Reformed church dated from the 13th century, but was destroyed in 1944 during World War II. It was rebuilt in 1953, but the tower was constructed from the ruins of the medieval church.Genderen was home to 499 people in 1840. Genderen was a separate municipality until 1923, when it was merged with Eethen. Before 1908, the name of the municipality was Heesbeen, Eethen en Genderen.

Babyloniënbroek is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is in the municipality of Altena, about 7 km northwest of the city of Waalwijk. Babyloniënbroek consists of a single street, and has about 400 inhabitants. The name Babylon has the suffix Broek added. 'Broek' is a word linked to the root of the English word, 'Brook' for stream or the springs of a stream, and the meaning in Dutch is very similar, meaning swamp or swampy. The village was first mentioned in 1131 as Babilonia. Babyloniënbroek is a linear settlement which started as a cultivation project by the monastery of Sint-Truiden around 1130 alongside a canal which no longer exists.The Dutch Reformed church building probably dates from the 14th century. In 1664, the nave was enlarged using material of the older church. It was restored until 1975. The church used to function as a place of refuge in case of floods. The last time it was used was in 1809.Babyloniënbroek was home to 250 people in 1840.

The Mandemakers Stadion (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmɑndəmaːkərs ˌstaːdijɔn]) is a multi-use stadium in Waalwijk, Netherlands. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium is able to hold 7,500 people and was built in 1996. The Mandemakers Stadion replaced the Sportpark Olympia stadium that was able to hold 6,200 people and opened in 1940. Sportpark Olympia is the name of the multi-use sports park in which the Mandemakers Stadion is located. Derde Klasse-side VV Baardwijk is one of many clubs in the sports park.

It was formed in 1923 as a merger of the municipalities of Sprang, Vrijhoeve-Capelle and 's Grevelduin-Capelle. Therefore Sprang-Capelle consists of three villages: 's Grevelduin-Capelle, Vrijhoeve-Capelle and Sprang. In 1997 the municipality of Sprang-Capelle was added to the municipality of Waalwijk. The amusement park Efteling is located in the neighbourhood of Sprang-Capelle.

Kaatsheuvel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈkaːtsˌɦøːvəl]) is a town in the province of North Brabant, Netherlands situated along highways N261 and N628. With a population of roughly 16,600, it is the largest town in and the capital of the municipality of Loon op Zand, which also consists of the villages of De Moer and Loon op Zand. As Kaatsheuvel is a municipality capital, it has a town hall, located in the town centre. The town hall was torn down in 2010 as part of an ambitious plan to build a lively new town centre. A new town centre has been built, with the title Bruisend Dorpshart (Sparkling Village's Heart). Kaatsheuvel is internationally known for the Efteling theme park and as a gateway to National Park Loonse en Drunense Duinen.
