Cornell School District (Allegheny County, Pennsylvania)

Cornell High School is a public high school located in the borough of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh in Allegheny County in the state of Pennsylvania. Cornell High School serves students from the borough of Coraopolis, as well as Neville Township or Neville Island as it is more commonly called. The school's mascot are the Raiders, and the colors are blue and gold. The high school is part of the Cornell School District.

Coraopolis () is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, along the Ohio River. The population was 5,559 at the 2020 census. It is a suburb of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Coraopolis is located west of Pittsburgh along the Ohio River and to the east of the Pittsburgh International Airport. The borough has steep topography, numerous brick streets and many large, old houses. Dick's Sporting Goods is headquartered in Coraopolis, as is the American Bridge Company.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School is a private Catholic high school in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. Located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, it is a ministry of the Felician Sisters. Among students and in colloquial terms, it is referred to as OLSH .

Coraopolis station is a disused train station in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The train station was built in 1896 by the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad, and designed by architects Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge in Richardsonian Romanesque style.

Coraopolis Armory is an armory located at 835 5th Avenue in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1938, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 14, 1991.It houses the Headquarters Company, 28th Signal Battalion, Pennsylvania National Guard Army Reserve.

The Coraopolis Bridge is a girder bridge over the back channel of the Ohio River connecting Grand Avenue on Neville Island to Ferree Street in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. It opened in 1995 to replace a structure of historic significance. The original Pratt/Bowstring/Pennsylvania through truss spans, designed by Theodore Cooper, were formerly the (third) Sixth Street Bridge, spanning the Allegheny River, in downtown Pittsburgh, and were built in 1892 by the Union Bridge Company. They were floated downstream by the Foundation Company in 1927 rather than being demolished when the bridge was removed to enable construction of the present (fourth) Three Sisters (Pittsburgh) Sixth Street Self-anchored suspension bridge. However, by the late 1980s, the old bridge could no longer support traffic volumes and was replaced by a newer structure.

The Robert Morris University Island Sports Center (abbreviated RMU Island Sports Center) is a sports complex located in the Pittsburgh suburb of Neville Island in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. The RMU Island Sports Center opened in 1998, and houses several ice and inline skating rinks, a golf range, a miniature golf course, athletic fields, a strength and fitness center, a bistro and a pro shop. In 2003, Robert Morris University bought a Superfund Site's land (called Ohio River Park) from Neville Land Company for 2.7 million. Ohio River Park is still being monitored by the EPA. A boathouse was added in October 2016. The complex is accessible via exit 65 of Interstate 79.

Haysville is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, along the Ohio River. The population was 81 according to the 2020 census, making it the least-populous municipality (out of 130) in Allegheny County.

Pennsylvania's 17th congressional district is located in southwestern Pennsylvania, which includes the entirety of Beaver County and the northwestern parts of Allegheny County not part of the 12th district. It has been represented since January 3, 2023 by Democrat Chris Deluzio. In January 2018, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania ruled that the 2011 map violated the state constitution and redrew it on February 18, 2018. What was the 17th district, which had been anchored in Northeast Pennsylvania, was modified to become the 9th district, and the old 12th district likewise became the 17th, for the 2018 elections and representation thereafter until the current map was ordered on February 23, 2022. In the 2020 redistricting cycle, its portion of Butler County, including Cranberry Township, was removed from the district, while it gained some eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh, such as Forest Hills and Wilkinsburg.

Glen Osborne is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, along the Ohio River. The population was 590 at the 2020 census. It is a residential suburb of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.

Mary Roberts Rinehart Nature Park (MRRNP) is located in Glen Osborne, near Sewickley, in NW Allegheny County, PA about 11 miles NW of the City of Pittsburgh. It is located next to Quaker Valley School District's Osborne Elementary Campus. The Park, named in 2008, is managed by the Osborne Trail and Park Association (OTPA). MRRNP is named for Mary Roberts Rinehart, the 20th century American Mystery writer, born in 1876 in Allegheny City (now Pittsburgh's Northside), who lived in Glen Osborne from 1911 to 1922 in an estate adjacent to the park location.MRRNP features walking trails that wind through rich Ravine and Floodplain Forest Communities, including Sycamore (Box-Elder) Floodplain Forest and remnant Green Ash - Mixed Hardwood Floodplain Forest, following a stream, and passing planted demonstration Pollinator and Barrens gardens. The nature park also showcases several artistic hardscape features made by local artisans including a hand-built stone amphitheater and a stone firepit ring made by Eston Owens, a wrought iron sign made by George Gaadt, and a custom made powder coated steel front perimeter fence made by Collin Carrier of London Pattern: Hand crafted metalwork. The fire pit may be used with prior approval.The park has been a host location for Sewickley StoryWalk®, a self-guided walking tour where enlarged laminated pages of illustrated children's books are placed in series along the routes.

Allegheny Valley School is a private non-profit organization based in the Pittsburgh region that provides services to individuals with disabilities. The school operates more than 125 programs across Pennsylvania, with locations in Allegheny, Beaver, Bucks, Butler, Dauphin, Lebanon, Mercer, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. Of the 125 programs statewide, 67 are based in Western Pennsylvania, 17 in Central Pennsylvania and 44 in Eastern Pennsylvania. The headquarters are in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1960 to care for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities; when the Pittsburgh Home for Babies, an orphanage, closed, the Allegheny Valley School accepted the 10 children with intellectual disabilities who had been there. In 1983, Pittsburgh sportscaster Myron Cope founded the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix to raise funds for the Allegheny Valley School and The Autism Society of Pittsburgh. Cope said "My son, who was born brain-damaged and can neither speak nor otherwise function normally, has lived at Allegheny Valley School since 1982. For my late wife Mildred and me, Allegheny Valley School was a Godsend. My son is happy and is cared for with expertise, understanding and love." In 1996, Cope gave the rights to the Terrible Towel to the Allegheny Valley School, the proceeds from which continue to fund the school. In 2000, the Western Center, a state-run facility for disabled persons, closed and some residents were moved to the Allegheny Valley School. In 2008, Allegheny Valley School was acquired by NHS Human Services. As of 2013, it was serving more than 900 children, adults and senior citizens; residents have a variety of physical disabilities, medical complications, behavioral management needs.
