Kenner is a city in the U.S. state of Louisiana. It is the most populous city in Jefferson Parish, and is the largest incorporated suburban city of New Orleans. The population was 66,448 at the 2020 census, making it the sixth-most populous city in Louisiana.

Bonnabel Magnet Academy High School is a comprehensive public high school in Kenner, Louisiana, United States, and is part of Jefferson Parish Public Schools, the largest public school system in Louisiana. Bonnabel is the only comprehensive school district-operated high school in Kenner, and it's attendance boundary includes most of Kenner and parts of Metairie.East Jefferson High School had been using "A.M. & P.M. platoon shifts" where the first classes went to school from 6 a.m. until noon, and the second shift went from 12:30 to 6:30. In 1973, they started building a new all male school named Alfred T. Bonnabel High. Even though it would not be completed until 2 years later, they decided to call the morning shift “Bonnabel” and the afternoon shift “East Jefferson”. The following year the two shifts flip-flopped. The third year the student that had been using the name “Bonnabel” moved into their new building just north of I-10 between David Dr. and Williams Blvd.

Ochsner Medical Center – Kenner, also called Ochsner Kenner, is a hospital in Kenner, Louisiana, United States. The 170-bed hospital opened in 1985 as St. Jude Hospital and was later renamed Kenner Regional Medical Center. The hospital was run by Tenet Healthcare until 2006 when it was acquired by Ochsner Health System. After the acquisition, the hospital's name was changed to its current name.

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (IATA: MSY, ICAO: KMSY, FAA LID: MSY) (French: Aéroport international Louis Armstrong de La Nouvelle-Orléans) is an international airport under Class B airspace in Kenner, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is owned by the city of New Orleans and is 11 miles (18 km) west of downtown New Orleans. A small portion of Runway 11/29 is in unincorporated St. Charles Parish. Armstrong International is the primary commercial airport for the New Orleans metropolitan area and southeast Louisiana. MSY covers 1,500 acres (607 ha) of land. At an average of 4.5 feet (1.4 m) above sea level, MSY is the third lowest-lying international airport in the world, only behind Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in the Netherlands, which is 11 feet (3.4 m) below sea level, and Atyrau International Airport in Kazakhstan, which lies 72 feet (22 m) below sea level.

Pan Am Flight 759 was a regularly scheduled domestic passenger flight from Miami to San Diego, with en route stops in New Orleans and Las Vegas. On July 9, 1982, the Boeing 727 flying this route crashed in the New Orleans suburb of Kenner after being forced down by a microburst shortly after takeoff. All 145 on board, as well as 8 people on the ground, were killed.

The Duncan Canal, also known as the West Return Canal, is a canal in Louisiana, running along a sizable portion of the boundary between Jefferson Parish, Louisiana and St. Charles Parish, Louisiana. The primary purpose of the canal is drainage; a series of pumps and feeder canals feed a portion of the rain and ground water of the East Bank of Jefferson into the canal which drains it into Lake Pontchartrain. The city of Kenner, Louisiana is on the Jefferson, or eastern, side. For most of the canal's distance, the area on the St. Charles Parish side is undeveloped swamp. A levee topped with a concrete flood wall runs along the Jefferson side.

The Raziano House, also known as Mahogany Manor, is a historic house located at 913 Minor Street in Kenner, Louisiana. Built in 1946 for Henry Raziano and his wife Amelia, the house is a two-story brick residence in the Colonial Revival style.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 14, 1998.

Delta Air Lines Flight 9877 was a crew training flight operated on a Douglas DC-8. On March 30, 1967, it lost control and crashed into a residential area during a simulated engine-out approach to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
