The Lenbachhaus (German: [ˈlɛnbaxˌhaʊs]) is a building housing an art museum in Munich's Kunstareal.

The Bavarian School of Public Policy (German: Hochschule für Politik München) is an independent institution for political science within the TUM School of Governance of the Technical University of Munich.

Gabelsbergerstraße is a city centre street in the Munich district of Maxvorstadt. It leads from Oskar-von-Miller-Ring in a north-western direction to Dachauer Straße, where it becomes Josef-Ruederer-Straße. Over its entire length it is a one-way street with the direction of travel from west to east. Gabelsbergerstraße 6 is home to the Protestant Church of St. Markus, Gabelsbergerstraße 33-35 is home to the Staatliche Sammlung für Ägyptische Kunst (State Museum of Egyptian Art) and the University of Television and Film Munich with the Bernd-Eichinger-Platz. On Gabelsbergerstraße you will find the Kunstareal München and the main campus of the Technical University of Munich. The buildings in Gabelsbergerstraße 6, 9, 11/13/15, 17, 19, 36, 38, 40, 45/47, 49, 51, 53, 68, 70, 71, 79a, 81, 83, 89, 91 and 95 are architectural historical monuments.

The Propylaea (German: Propyläen) is a city gate in Munich at the west side of Königsplatz.

The Glyptothek (German: [ɡlʏptoˈteːk] (listen)) is a museum in Munich, Germany, which was commissioned by the Bavarian King Ludwig I to house his collection of Greek and Roman sculptures (hence γλυπτο- glypto- "sculpture", from the Greek verb γλύφειν glyphein "to carve" and the noun θήκη "container"). It was designed by Leo von Klenze in the neoclassical style, and built from 1816 to 1830. Today the museum is a part of the Kunstareal.

Königsplatz (German: [ˈkøːnɪçsˌplats], King's Square) is a square in Munich, Germany. Built in the style of European Neoclassicism in the 19th century, it displays the Propyläen Gate and, facing each other, the Glyptothek (archeological museum) and the Staatliche Antikensammlungen (art museum). The area around Königsplatz is home to the Kunstareal, Munich's gallery and museum quarter.

Königsplatz is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U2 line of the Munich U-Bahn system. It is located in the Maxvorstadt district. The station is close to many museums including the Kunstareal. The walls behind the platforms are decorated with facsimiles of famous works of art. The station is named after the square above and opened on October 18, 1980. The floor is different from the other stations opened in that year, with gray-blue Azul granite slabs. The pillars are covered with large brown stone and the ceiling has two lighting bands veneered with aluminum fins. The station was planned under the name Brienner Straße, which runs through Königsplatz above.

The Staatliche Antikensammlungen (German: [ˈʃtaːtlɪçə anˈtiːkənˌzamlʊŋən], State Collections of Antiquities) is a museum in Munich's Kunstareal holding Bavaria's collections of antiquities from Greece, Etruria and Rome, though the sculpture collection is located in the opposite Glyptothek and works created in Bavaria are on display in a separate museum. Ancient Egypt also has its own museum.

The Landeskirchenamt München (i.e. Church Office) is the administrative headquarters of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria. The building is located in the Maxvorstadt, Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

St. Boniface's Abbey (German: Abtei St. Bonifaz) is a Benedictine monastery in Maxvorstadt, Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It was founded in 1835 by King Ludwig I of Bavaria, as a part of his efforts to reanimate the country's spiritual life by the restoration of the monasteries destroyed during the secularisation of the early 19th century. The abbey, constructed in Byzantine style, was formally dedicated in 1850. It was destroyed during World War II and only partly restored. The church contains the tombs of King Ludwig I and of his queen, Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. St. Boniface's is situated in a city, which is unusual for a Benedictine monastery. To ensure the material provision of the monks, King Ludwig bought the former Andechs Abbey, which had been secularised in 1803, along with its supporting farmlands and gave it to the new abbey. For this reason Andechs is now a priory of St. Boniface's Abbey. The monks work in the pastoral care of the parish, in scholarly and educational fields and in the care of the homeless. The present abbot (as of 2014) is Johannes Eckert, whom the monks elected on 23 July 2003 on the retirement of the previous abbot, Odilo Lechner. St. Boniface's Abbey is a member of the Bavarian Congregation within the Benedictine Confederation.

The Honor Temples (German: Ehrentempel) were two structures in Munich, erected by the Nazis in 1935, housing the sarcophagi of the sixteen members of the Party who had been killed in the failed Beer Hall Putsch (the Blutzeugen, "blood witnesses"). On 9 January 1947 the main architectural features of the temples were destroyed by the U.S. Army as part of denazification.
