The University of Hyogo (兵庫県立大学, Hyōgo kenritsu daigaku, lit. 'Hyogo Prefectural University') is a public university in Kobe, Hyogo, Japan.

The Kobe Anpanman Children's Museum & Mall (神戸アンパンマンこどもミュージアム＆モール) is an interactive children's museum located in Kobe, Japan dedicated to Takashi Yanase's popular Anpanman franchise. It is one of three such complexes in the country (the others being in Yokohama, Sendai and Nagoya), and also the newest, having been opened in 2013.

Kobe Station (神戸駅, Kōbe-eki) is a railway station in Chūō-ku, Kobe, Japan, operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West). Although Kobe Station is the namesake of the city of Kobe, Kobe City Hall and the commercial center of Kobe is closer to Kobe-Sannomiya Station.

The Kobe Port Tower (神戸ポートタワー, Kōbe Pōto Tawā) is a landmark in the port city of Kobe, Japan. The sightseeing tower was completed in 1963 and was temporarily closed from late 2009 to 28 April 2010 and again to present for renovation. It is located in Chuo-ku, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.

Yamato-1 is a ship built in the early 1990s by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. at Wadasaki-cho Hyogo-ku, Kobe. It uses magnetohydrodynamic drives (MHDDs) driven by liquid helium-cooled superconductors and can travel at 15 km/h (8 knots). Yamato-1 was the first working prototype of her kind. It was completed in Japan in 1991, by the Ship & Ocean Foundation (later known as the Ocean Policy Research Foundation). The ship, which includes two magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) thrusters, which have no moving parts, was first successfully operated in Kobe harbour in June 1992. An MHDD works by applying a magnetic field to an electrically conducting fluid. The electrically conducting fluid used in the MHD thrusters of Yamato-1 is seawater. In the 1990s, Mitsubishi built several prototypes of ships propelled by MHDD systems. Despite projected higher speeds, these ships were only able to reach speeds of 15 km/h. Afterwards, Yamato-1 was on display at the Kobe Maritime Museum, but it was demolished in 2016.

Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel (神戸メリケンパークオリエンタルホテル, Kōbe Meriken Pāku Orientaru Hoteru) is a hotel located close to Meriken Park, in Kobe, Japan. It was opened in June, 1995, only 6 months after the Great Hanshin earthquake destroyed much of the city. It is in the Kobe waterfront area called Harborland, and is often featured in pictures of Kobe, together with Kobe Port Tower. It was designed by Takenaka Corporation to resemble a luxury liner. Meriken Park (メリケンパーク, Meriken pāku) is a waterfront park located in the port city of Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. The park features the Kobe Port Tower, Kobe Maritime Museum, and a memorial to victims of the Great Hanshin earthquake. The name of the park comes from the word "American," which was commonly translated as "Meriken" during the Meiji era. Meriken Park is also the location of the Hotel Okura Kobe and Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel.

Minatogawa Shrine (湊川神社, Minatogawa-jinja) is a Shinto shrine in Chūō-ku, Kobe, Japan, roughly on the site of the Battle of Minatogawa established in 1872. The enshrined kami is the spirit of Masashige Kusunoki, a military commander. It is one of the Fifteen Shrines of the Kenmu Restoration.
