Merdingen

Tuniberg is a hill in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Opfingen is a village to the west of Freiburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It was incorporated into Freiburg on 1 December, 1971. Opfingen's main industry is the growing and production of wine. The surrounding communities are Merdingen, Freiburg-Waltershofen, Freiburg-Tiengen, Niederrimsingen, Freiburg-St. Georgen und Freiburg-Rieselfeld.

Waltershofen is a quarter (Stadtteil) with its own administration in the city of Freiburg im Breisgau. It is located about 15 km west of Freiburg at the foot of the Tuniberg, next to the autonomous municipalities of Gottenheim, Merdingen, Opfingen, and Umkirch in the administrative district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald. Waltershofen has a population of 2,184 (as of Dec. 2020) and covers an area of 629.10 hectares (as of Dec. 2010). Its sister town is Waltershofen im Allgäu.

Ihringen is a town in the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in Baden-Württemberg in Germany, just east of Breisach am Rhein and west of Freiburg im Breisgau at the southern end of the Kaiserstuhl. It is known for its wine.

Gottenheim is an independent village at the northern tip of the Tuniberg, 15 km west of Freiburg im Breisgau. It is located in the administrative region Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Situated at an altitude of 207 m in one of the warmest regions of Germany, Gottenheim has a population of 2,912. The total area of Gottenheim is 2183 acres (8.83 km²), which includes 275 acres (1.11 km2) of vines, 538 acres (2.18 km2) alluvial forest and some acres of half-bog.

Gottenheim station is a station in Gottenheim in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is the most important intermediate station on the Breisach Railway (Breisacher Bahn), which connects Freiburg and Breisach. It is also the terminus of the Kaiserstuhl Railway (Kaiserstuhlbahn), which runs to Bahlingen and Riegel Ort.

Hausen an der Möhlin is a village in the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in Baden-Württemberg. Since September 1973, it is an Ortsteil of Bad Krozingen.

The Kaiserstuhl (German: [ˈkaɪzɐʃtuːl] , lit. "Emperor’s Chair") is a range of hills in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwest Germany with a maximum height of 556.6 metres (1,826 ft). It is of volcanic origin and located in the southwest of the state in the counties of Emmendingen and Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald. In terms of natural regions it is considered to be a part of the Upper Rhine Plain.

The Totenkopf is a hill in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, forming the highest point in the Kaiserstuhl region. The hill is topped by an observation tower and a 120-m (394-ft) Deutsche Telekom communications tower. Wine and fruit are cultivated on its slopes.

Arlesheimer See is an artificial lake within the boundaries of Freiburg im Breisgau district, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. At an elevation of 212 m, its surface area is 0.060 km². It was first excavated in 1966. The lake, as well as 12 ha of forest surrounding it, is designated as a nature reserve, so the lake is not open for swimming. Due to the high number of found there, detected there, the lake is recognized as a European bird sanctuary under the Birds Directive.

Bötzingen is a municipality in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. This is a pleasant village, closely situated near the 'green' city of Freiburg. Well served with local schools and other amenities, such as sports grounds and venues. There is an especially good swimming pool. There are good road and rail links to the city and many residents of Botzingen commute and work in Freiburg. Many residents work in the nearby SMP factory. Bötzingen is known for its wide variety of local wines. There is a friendly supermarket and nearby a store dedicated to wine, beer and other beverages. Behind the village are pleasant, rolling hills, farmed with a mix of vineyards and sweet corn. Worth a relaxing stroll.

Neumagen is a river of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Möhlin near Bad Krozingen.
