Tongham railway station

Tongham is a village northeast of the town of Farnham in Surrey, England. The village's buildings occupy most of the west of the civil parish, adjoining the A31 and the A331. The boundaries take in Poyle Park in the east and the replacement to Runfold's manor house in the west. Tongham is located on the north side of the Hog's Back, the narrowest part of the North Downs. The largest independent brewery in Surrey, the Hogs Back Brewery, takes its name from this eminence as does the Hog's Back Hotel. Tongham was the home of the Aldershot Stadium from 1950 to 1992. Aldershot itself is centred 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to the west.

Ash Manor School is a comprehensive, community secondary school located in Manor Road, Ash, Surrey, England. Opened as Yeoman's Bridge School in 1948. The school was formed after a merger between two schools Yeomans Bridge and Robert Haining in 1986. There are 937 students.

The Park Crematorium is the crematorium for the town of Aldershot in Hampshire and surrounding districts, including North East Hampshire and parts of Surrey and Berkshire. It was designed by Frank Taylor, the Aldershot Borough Surveyor, and opened in July 1960. Today it is operated and maintained by Rushmoor Borough Council.

Ash is a village and civil parish in the far west of the borough of Guildford, Surrey. Ash is on the eastern side of the River Blackwater, with a station on the Reading-Guildford-Gatwick line, and direct roads to Aldershot, Farnham and Guildford. The 2011 census counted the residents of the main ward of Ash, which excludes Ash Vale, as 6,120. It is within the Aldershot Urban Area (the Blackwater Valley) and adjoins the riverside in the east of that large town; Ash has a small museum in the local cemetery chapel, a large secondary school and a library.

Aldershot Ice Rink was an ice rink venue located in Pool Road, Aldershot, Hampshire, England. It was opened on 24 July 1987 and closed on 15 October 1991. Developed by Gaul & Company, Aldershot's rink was built on a restricted site with limited car parking, at a cost of £1.6 million, adjacent to a housing estate. The mayor of Rushmoor Council laid the foundation stone on 28 April 1978. At that time the Aldershot Courier claimed it to be 'the biggest ice rink in Britain'. As the ice surface was only two-thirds of the minimum required size, the national governing body (British Ice Hockey Association), ruled in the summer of 1987 that only youth ice hockey could be sanctioned. The first ice hockey match played at the rink was on 8 November 1987 when Aldershot Colts lost 13–2 to Havering (Romford) Hornets. A change of ownership, with plans to reopen the rink in December 1991, foundered. Rushmoor Council subsequently leased the building to the Camberley Gymnastics Club.

Seale and Sands is a civil parish in the Guildford District Council area of Surrey, England with a population of 887. The principal settlement is Seale; other places include Sandy Cross and The Sands. The Sands, including Sandy Cross forms the rest of the local government rural unit that provides certain minor services. Major services are provided by Guildford Borough Council and Surrey County Council. Across the old nucleus and mostly below the North Downs passes a short stretch of the long-distance footpath, the Pilgrims' Way (North Downs Way). Littleworth Cross is the southern sparsely inhabited junction settlement on minor woodland lanes, which has a heritage-listed park and garden which played host to an important event in the evolution of the work of international early 20th century homes and gardens designer Gertrude Jekyll. The west of the parish contains Farnham Golf Club. The parish is almost square, 2 miles east to west and north to south. It covers 887 hectares (2,190 acres) most of this is open countryside. The parish of Seale (combined villages of Seale and Sands) has a population of 900,Apart from houses by the old school, most of the houses in the parish are to the south, along Binton Lane and in The Sands.

Farnborough/Aldershot built-up area and Aldershot Urban Area are names used by the ONS to refer to a conurbation spanning the borders of Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire in England. The ONS found a population of 252,937 in 2011 (up 4%, rounded, from the 2001 figure of 243,344 residents). This makes it the 29th-largest built-up area in England.A conurbation consisting of Aldershot and Farnborough, together with Frimley and Camberley was identified as a conurbation since at least the mid 20th century. These four places had a total population of 70,000 in 1931 which grew to 91,700 by 1961.Most of the conurbation lies alongside the River Blackwater which gives a wider area including Fleet (which is not geographically in the Blackwater Valley) the alternate name of Blackwater Valley.The area forms part of the London metropolitan area and borders the Metropolitan green belt. It almost adjoins the somewhat lower density Reading/Wokingham Urban Area at Sandhurst.

Seale Chalk Pit is a 1.2-hectare (3.0-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Guildford in Surrey. It is a Geological Conservation Review site and part of the Seale Chalk Pit and Meadow 3-hectare (7.4-acre) private nature reserve, which is managed by the Surrey Wildlife Trust.This former quarry exposes rocks of the Hog’s Back, and exhibits the separation of the folding Mesozoic rocks of the Weald from the Tertiary sediments of the London Basin.There is no public access.
