Adam Scott Collegiate and Vocational Institute and Intermediate School, established in 1960, is a high school and middle school in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, and was named for Adam Scott, Peterborough's first settler. As of 2009, 222 students were enrolled in its Intermediate School (grades seven and eight) and 796 students in the secondary school (grades nine to twelve). The school has an auto shop as well as a basic chemistry lab. It also has a newly renovated library and a courtyard. Adam Scott CVI is part of the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board and celebrated its 50th anniversary in the Fall of 2010.Adam Scott CVI is named after Adam Scott, Peterborough, Ontario's first settler.

Netflix Albuquerque Studios is a film studio located in the Mesa del Sol development of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The premises include eight sound stages, production offices, and a backlot.The studios served as headquarters for the Breaking Bad television show crew, as well as for a number of Hollywood films. The coordinates at which Breaking Bad character Walter White buries his money in the season 5 episode "Buried"—34°59′12″N 106°36′31″W—actually points to Albuquerque Studios.In October 2018, it was announced that Netflix was in negotiations to buy the studio and make it the primary production facility for Netflix Originals. The company acquired the facility with a $30 million capital investment. It was originally built in 2007 with a budget of around $91 million.In November 2020, Netflix announced that the facility will be expanded by 300 acres (120 ha) with $1 billion dollars committed towards spending for production. The Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge is a protected area in New Mexico managed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service as part of the National Wildlife Refuge System. It is located 7 miles (11 km) south of Albuquerque, New Mexico. This unit abuts the Rio Grande Valley State Park, which is adjacent to the Rio Grande.

Bernalillo County/International Sunport is a station on the New Mexico Rail Runner Express commuter rail line, located in South Valley, New Mexico, United States. It is located on Second Street, just north of Rio Bravo, and is accessible via Second Street and Prince Street. It serves the residents of the South Valley and as a connection to the Albuquerque International Sunport. The station began service on April 20, 2007 as the sixth station on the line. Passengers can transfer to ABQRide Route 222, which connects the station to the South Valley, the Sunport and the Kirtland Air Force Base. The station has free parking, with 172 spaces. Each of the Rail Runner stations contains an icon to express each community's identity. The icon representing this station is an ear of corn and the sun, which has a meaning that is actually twofold. The corn reflects the South Valley's agricultural heritage, which remains a viable economic influence in the area today. The sun in the icon represents the station’s connection to the Albuquerque International Sunport.

KNML (610 AM "The Sports Animal") is a sports talk formatted radio station owned by Cumulus Media and licensed to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Its studios are located in Downtown Albuquerque and it utilizes daytime and nighttime transmitters that are located within yards of each other in the southwest quadrant of the city, between the Rio Grande and the Albuquerque International Sunport.

Kirtland Air Force Base (IATA: ABQ, ICAO: KABQ) is a United States Air Force base. It is located in the southeast quadrant of the Albuquerque, New Mexico urban area, adjacent to the Albuquerque International Sunport. The base was named for the early Army aviator Col. Roy C. Kirtland. The military and the international airport share the same runways, making ABQ a joint civil-military airport. Kirtland AFB is the largest installation in Air Force Global Strike Command and sixth largest in the United States Air Force. The base occupies 51,558 acres and employs over 23,000 people, including more than 4,200 active duty and 1,000 Guard, plus 3,200 part-time Reserve personnel. In 2000, Kirtland AFB's economic impact on the City of Albuquerque was over $2.7 billion. Kirtland is the home of the Air Force Materiel Command's Nuclear Weapons Center (NWC). The NWC's responsibilities include acquisition, modernization and sustainment of nuclear system programs for both the Department of Defense and Department of Energy. The NWC is composed of two wings–the 377th Air Base Wing and 498th Nuclear Systems Wing–along with ten groups and seven squadrons. Kirtland is home to the 58th Special Operations Wing (58 SOW), an Air Education and Training Command (AETC) unit that provides formal aircraft type/model/series training. The 58 SOW operates the HC-130J, MC-130J, UH-1N Huey, HH-60G Pave Hawk and CV-22 Osprey aircraft. Headquarters, Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center is also located at Kirtland AFB. The 150th Special Operations Wing of the New Mexico Air National Guard, an Air Combat Command (ACC)-gained unit, is also home-based at Kirtland.

The Old Albuquerque Municipal Airport Building at 2920 Yale Blvd. SE. in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a Pueblo Revival building built in 1939. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.It is a two-story flat-roofed building. It was built in 1939 in labor-intensive construction funded by the Works Progress Administration, using adobe bricks and other local materials. It was designed by the City Architect, Ernst H. Blumenthal. Blumenthal also designed the Monte Vista Fire Station, also listed on the National Register. The building was used as the passenger terminal for the Albuquerque Municipal Airport (now Albuquerque International Sunport) until the current terminal was built in 1965. It was served by Trans World Airlines, Continental Airlines, Frontier Airlines (1950-1986), and Pioneer Air Lines. The building later served as the first home of the Albuquerque Museum from 1967 to 1979. The building underwent a major rehabilitation in 2002 in which much of it was restored to its original condition of the 1940s.The Municipal Airport Building has also been known as the William Cutter Memorial Building, a notable aviator.

Isleta Pueblo is a station on the New Mexico Rail Runner Express commuter rail line, located in Isleta Pueblo, New Mexico, half a mile west of NM Highway 47 just off of Tribal Road 15. The station opened to service on December 17, 2008. A shuttle connects this station to the nearby Isleta Casino. The station has free parking, with 75 spaces. Each of the stations contains an icon to express each community's identity. The icon representing this station is the old Isleta Pueblo church.

KKIM (1000 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Albuquerque, New Mexico, broadcasting a Christian talk and teaching radio format. The station is owned by Robert Wilkins, through licensee Wild West Radio Corporation. National religious leaders heard on KKIM include Chuck Swindoll, Charles Stanley, John MacArthur and David Jeremiah. KKIM uses a brokered programming system, where hosts pay a fee for their time on the air and may use their shows to seek donations to their ministries. KKIM's studios are located in Northeast Albuquerque. By day, KKIM is powered at 10,000 watts non-directional. But because 1000 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A KNWN Seattle and WMVP Chicago, KKIM must greatly reduce power to 53 watts at night to avoid interference. The transmitter tower is on Arno Street SE near the Albuquerque International Sunport.

KIVA (1600 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is owned by the Rock of Talk LLC and airs a talk radio format. Studios and offices are located at 2309 Renard Place Southeast, near the Albuquerque International Sunport.KIVA broadcasts with 10,000 watts by day. To protect other stations on 1600 AM at night, it reduces power to 175 watts. The transmitter tower is on Arno Street, near Interstate 25, about a mile from the studios.

South Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) and town in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 40,976 at the 2010 Census. It is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area. The U.S. Postal Service uses "Albuquerque" for all South Valley addresses (ZIP code 87105).

National Airlines Flight 27 was a scheduled passenger flight between Miami, Florida, United States, and San Francisco, California, United States, with intermediate stops at New Orleans, Houston and Las Vegas. On November 3, 1973, the aircraft involved, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-10 with the tail number N60NA (as Barbara), experienced an uncontained engine failure, causing significant damage to the plane. The aircraft later managed to make a safe emergency landing at the Albuquerque International Sunport. One passenger died after being ejected from the aircraft at cruising altitude, in addition to minor injuries sustained by twenty-four passengers. It was the first fatal accident involving a DC-10.
