Ramport Studios was a recording studio on Thessaly Road, Battersea, south London, owned by the Who. The studio was built in an old church hall. Several major albums were recorded at Ramport, including 1974's Crime of the Century by Supertramp and 1976's Jailbreak by Thin Lizzy. Judas Priest also recorded their album Sin After Sin there during 1976–1977. The Who's 1973 album Quadrophenia was recorded there. Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers spent much of the summer of 1977 recording and mixing the album L.A.M.F. there for the Who's label Track Records. Joan Jett recorded several tracks there which would end up on her Joan Jett album, later retitled Bad Reputation. Neil Young, together with Robbie Robertson, recorded the song "White Line" there in 1974; this was released on the album Homegrown in 2020.Virgin Studios Ltd. acquired the studio in 1994 and renamed it Town House Three. It is now used as a doctor's surgery.

Stockwell Playhouse (known as the LOST Theatre until 2015) was a 180-seat Off West End Fringe theatre based in Stockwell, South London, dedicated to promoting and developing young and emerging talent. A variety of different shows were produced throughout the year there included One Act and Five Minute Festivals. In addition to the auditorium, the venue had two rehearsal spaces for hire by performers. There was also an award-winning bar space on the first floor called Bar 208, with a variety of drinks and beers on tap.

The Patmore Estate is a housing estate in Battersea within the London Borough of Wandsworth in London, England. The 28 red-brick apartment buildings were erected in the 1950s.

The River Heathwall, more often known as the Heathwall Sewer, Heathwall Ditch or Heathwall Mill Pond was a set of field drainage ditches and a large mill pond in Battersea, London. It had two outlets into the tidal Thames and its inland section roughly followed Wandsworth Road. Its eastern outlet was at Nine Elms.The Greenwoods' map of 1827 confirms the mill pond served a tide mill, harnessing of the locally great tidal energy. The generic prototype may have such a mill in the nascent City of London, in Roman Britain.The river was covered in 1866, as was the nearby Falconbrook. Pumping stations were added for the drainage of northern Battersea and to allow for widespread development. Heathwall Pumping Station is now part of the Thames Tideway Scheme.

Nine Elms is an area of south-west London, England, within the London Borough of Wandsworth. It lies on the River Thames, with Battersea to the west, South Lambeth to the south and Vauxhall to the east. The area was formerly mainly industrial but is now becoming more residential and commercial in character. It is dominated by Battersea Power Station, various railway lines and New Covent Garden Market. The Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is also in the area. Nine Elms has residential developments along the riverside, including Chelsea Bridge Wharf and Embassy Gardens, and also three large council estates: Carey Gardens, the Patmore Estate and the Savona.

The Northern line extension to Battersea is an extension of the London Underground from Kennington to Battersea in South West London, terminating at the redeveloped Battersea Power Station. The extension forms a continuation of the Northern line's Charing Cross branch. Two new underground stations have been built: Nine Elms and terminus Battersea Power Station. Both stations are in Travelcard Zone 1. Provision has been made for a future extension to Clapham Junction.The cost of the extension was £1.1bn, under budget by £160m. It was funded by the private sector, including the developers of Battersea Power Station, with contributions from other developments across the Vauxhall, Nine Elms and Battersea area. Construction began in 2015, and the extension opened on 20 September 2021. The extension is the first major expansion of the Underground since the Piccadilly line extension to Heathrow Terminal 5 opened in 2008.

The A3036 is an A road in London, England. It starts at the southern tip of the County Hall roundabout (51.5003°N 0.1168°W / 51.5003; -0.1168 (A3036 road (northeastern end))), where the A302 Westminster Bridge, York Road and A23 Westminster Bridge Road all intersect. This stretch of the route is called Lambeth Palace Road and heads southwest, past St Thomas' Hospital and the Palace itself, at the roundabout junction with the A3203 at Lambeth Bridge, where it runs along the south side of the Thames. After this, the road is called Albert Embankment and continues to run alongside the river, until it passes the MI6 headquarters at the major junction known as Vauxhall Cross, where the A202 Vauxhall Bridge, Durham Street and Harleyford Road, the A203 South Lambeth Road, and the A3205 Nine Elms Lane all converge. From Vauxhall, the route is then called Wandsworth Road until it crosses the A3216 Queenstown Road / Cedars Road junction in Battersea. At that point the street name changes to Lavender Hill, continuing until Clapham Junction. The A3 follows roughly the same southwesterly course as this route and after St John's Hill, Clapham Junction, the two routes merge at the Wandsworth one-way system (51.4596°N 0.1799°W / 51.4596; -0.1799 (A3036 road (southwestern end))), where the road continues as the A3.

The Embassy of the United States of America in London is the diplomatic mission of the United States in the United Kingdom. It is located in Nine Elms and is the largest American embassy in Western Europe and the focal point for events relating to the United States held in the United Kingdom. There has been an American legation in London since John Adams was appointed the first minister in 1785. The current ambassador's residence is Winfield House in Regents Park since 1955. The embassy building in Nine Elms overlooks the River Thames and has been opened to the public since 13 December 2017, and was formally opened in January 2018. For much of the 20th century and into the 21st, the chancery was in Grosvenor Square, Westminster, London.

The Sky Pool is a swimming pool at the Embassy Gardens development in the Nine Elms region of Wandsworth, a borough of southwest London. It is suspended 115 feet (35 m) above the ground and forms a bridge between two tall apartment buildings. Unveiled in May 2021, the pool was criticized as emblematic of economic inequalities in London.

Battersea Power Station is a London Underground station in Battersea, London, and forms the terminus of the Northern line extension to Battersea (NLE). Partially funded by the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station, the station serves the redevelopment site, as well as Battersea itself. The station is located on Battersea Park Road, close to Battersea Park railway station and a short walking distance from Queenstown Road (Battersea) railway station. The line and station opened on 20 September 2021. It is the only station on the London Underground network to include the word 'station' in its name.

Embassy Gardens is a residential and business development built by Ballymore Group in the Nine Elms regeneration zone in London, England, surrounding the United States Embassy building opened in 2017. It features the tranparent Sky Pool for swimming, which is suspended 115 feet in the air between the development's prominent buildings.On 16 February 2012, Wandsworth Council approved Ballymore Group's plans for the 15-acre development. Embassy Gardens was intended to provide "up to 1,982 new homes alongside shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, business space, a 100 bed hotel, a health centre, children's playgrounds and sports pitches".In 2014, it was reported that Ballymore had engaged Lazard and CBRE Group to raise about €2.5bn to fund the Embassy Gardens development.In June 2017, 25 apartments were released for sale by EcoWorld Ballymore with prices for the homes that overlook a sky pool starting at £1million. The outdoor swimming pool is suspended 10 storeys high and acts as a bridge between two apartment blocks. It enables residents to swim between two buildings with views of the London Eye and Westminster Palace.In March 2021, Embassy Gardens residents were reported by the Financial Times as feeling "trapped" in their apartments, with one resident reporting that the service charge had increased 58% in five years to an annual charge of just over £6,500. This was an increase of between 10% and 15% per annum, well above the UK's inflation rate of 2.9% per annum during that period.

Nine Elms is a London Underground station in Nine Elms, London. The station opened on 20 September 2021, as part of the Northern line extension to Battersea. It serves the rapidly growing area, New Covent Garden Market and the Embassy of the United States. It is close to the site of the former Nine Elms railway station, once the terminus of the London and South Western Railway.
