The High School of Saint Thomas More (STM) is the only private, Roman Catholic comprehensive, co-educational high school in Champaign, Illinois. It is located in the far northwest part of Champaign. The school has an enrollment of 213 for the 2021–22 academic term. STM reports that 99% of all of their graduates have attended a post-secondary college or university. There are 1243 alumni as of August 2021. The school is headed by Principal Sr. M. Bridget Martin, FSGM and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Anthony Corapi.

The William M. Staerkel Planetarium is a planetarium at Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois. It is the second largest planetarium in the state, the largest being the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, and has the first Carl Zeiss M1015 opto-mechanical star projector installed in the western hemisphere. The Staerkel Planetarium provides science education programs and light show entertainment to as many as 40,000 people each year. It has a 50-foot dome, seats 144, and private group and school show reservations can be made beyond the regular public offerings.Public shows are every Friday and Saturday evenings. Aside from their regular star shows, the planetarium also hosts a lecture series the first Friday of every month. The planetarium is named after Parkland College's founding president, who led the college for the first 20 years.

WQQB is a Class A station with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 3,800 watts. The transmitter is on County Road 2400 North at 900 East in Mahomet, Illinois.

Wilbur Heights is an unincorporated community in Champaign County, Illinois, United States. Wilbur Heights is a northern suburb of Champaign and Urbana. Bordered by Market Street, Wallace, and 5th street, this neighborhood is currently zoned as "industrial". It is surrounded by companies such as Illini Recycling, Sport's Redi-mix, Judson Baptist Chapel, and The Salvation Army. Also nearby is a volunteer fire department. Since it is unincorporated from the city, it has limited snow removal services. Many vacant homes and lots are for sale.
