Megali Vrysi or Megali Vrisi (Greek: Μεγάλη Βρύση, old name: Greek: Αρμουτσή Armutsi / Armoutsi) is a village in the Kilkis region of Greece. It is situated in the municipal unit of Kilkis, in the Kilkis municipality, within the Kilkis region of Central Macedonia.

Tauriana (Ancient Greek: Ταυρίανα) was a town of ancient Macedonia, inhabited during the Hellenistic and Roman periods.The site of Tauriana is tentatively located near modern Chorigi.

Metalliko (Greek: Μεταλλικό, meaning 'mineral', before 1926: Γιάννες - Giannes; Macedonian Slavic: Јанес, Janes; Bulgarian: Янешево, Yaneshevo) is a settlement in the city of Kilkis, in northern Greece, located 6 km northwest of downtown Kilkis. In 2011 the settlement's population was 386. The village is named after a nearby spring of mineral water. Metalliko is 19 km south of Doirani, which is a border crossing into North Macedonia. Metalliko has a train station on the line from Thessaloniki to Serres and Alexandroupoli.

Kilkis (Greek: Περιφερειακή ενότητα Κιλκίς) is one of the regional units of Greece, in the geographic region of Macedonia. It is part of the region of Central Macedonia. Its capital is the city of Kilkis.

Leventochori (Greek: Λεβεντοχώρι, before 1927: Ασικλάρ - Asiklar) is a village in the municipality of Kilkis, Kilkis regional unit, Greece. 6 km southwest of the city centre, it is part of the community of Mesiano. In 2001, it had a population of 266. According to the Bulgarian ethnographer Vasil Kanchov, the village had 140 inhabitants in 1900, all of them of Turkish origin. Its present population consists of descendants of refugees from the village Harapa near Tsalka in Georgia and from other parts of the Caucasus and Eastern Thrace, and some Sarakatsanoi families. The village has a church of the saints Constantine and Helena.

Neo Gynaikokastro (Greek: Νέο Γυναικόκαστρο, old name: Avret Hişar) is a village in the Kilkis region of Greece. It is situated in the municipal unit of Pikrolimni, in the Kilkis municipality, within the Kilkis region of Central Macedonia.

Kirki railway station (Greek: Σιδηροδρομικός Σταθμός Κιλκίς, romanized: Sidirodromikós stathmós Kirki) is a railway station in the small town of Kristoni, that serves the nearby town of Kilkis, both in Kilkis in Central Macedonia, Greece. The station is unmanned but has waiting rooms available and a taxi rank

Cherso (Greek: Χέρσο, old name: Greek: Χέρσοβο Bulgarian: Хърсово Hersovo / Hirsova) is a village in the Kilkis region of Greece. It is situated in the municipal unit of Cherso, in the Kilkis municipality, within the Kilkis region of Central Macedonia. Since the 2011 local government reform (Kallikratis Plan), it has been part of the municipality Kilkis, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 157.907 km2. Population 2,629 (2011). In the municipal unit of Cherso lies the historical village of Kalindria. Kalindria was found by Paeonians in 3rd millennium BC, and it is inhabited today. In the Macedonian Struggle, the people of Kalindria fought hard against Bulgarians and Turkish authorities, and it was one of the main centres of Greek resistance in the Kilkis area. In the area of Tumba Hrisafi, 1200 m northwest of the village, an ancient settlement was discovered, declared in 1996 a protected monument.

Moryllus or Moryllos (Ancient Greek: Μόρυλλος) was a town of ancient Macedonia, placed by Ptolemy in the otherwise obscure district of Paraxia, then assumed to be in the district of Anthemus, but now it is placed, thanks to an inscription, in the interior Mygdonia or Crestonia, near modern Ano Apostoli, Kilkis prefecture. The only attested citizens of Moryllus are two Delphic theorodokoi, Hadymos and Seleukos sons of Argaios (c. 230-220 BCE).The site of Moryllus is located near modern Ano Apostoli.

Kampanis (Greek: Καμπάνης, Bulgarian: Караджа Кадър Karadja Kadar) is a village south of the city of Kilkis in the Kilkis regional unit, Greece. It is part of the municipal unit Gallikos and has a population of 1,170 people (2011). The community Kampanis (pop. 1,208 in 2011) consists of the villages Kampanis and Mylos. Kampanis was named after a Greek army officer who died in the area during the Macedonian War of 1913–14.

The Battle of Kilkis was an armed conflict between communist resistance organisation ELAS and a coalition of collaborationist Security Battalions, nationalist resistance organisations EDES and the National Greek Army (EES). On 4 November 1944, ELAS captured Kilkis after nine hours of fighting. The nationalists suffered many casualties during the battle and in prisoner killings afterwards.

Fanari (Greek: Φανάρι, old name: Greek: Σερεμετλί Seremetli) is a village south of the City of Kilkis in the Kilkis regional unit, Greece. It is part of the municipal unit Gallikos and has a population of 96 people (2011).
