Mount Zion Baptist Church is a historic church at 900 Cross Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a buff brick structure with modest Prairie School features on its exterior, with a three-part facade articulated by brick pilasters, and a trio of entrances set in the center section above a raised basement. The interior of the church is extremely elaborate in its decoration, with a pressed-metal ceiling, elaborate central copper light fixture, and banks of stained glass windows. The church was built in 1926 for a predominantly African-American congregation founded in 1877.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Republican Party of Arkansas (RPA), headquartered at 1201 West 6th Street in downtown Little Rock, is the affiliate of the Republican Party in Arkansas. It is currently the dominant party in the state, controlling all four of Arkansas' U.S. House seats, both U.S. Senate seats, all statewide executive offices, including the governorship, and supermajorities in both houses of the state legislature. The Republican Party of Arkansas was founded on April 2, 1867, by "the leading Union men" of Arkansas. Under Powell Clayton, it played a preeminent role in politics at the height of Reconstruction in the state (1864–1874). The party chairman is Joseph K. Wood.

The Compton-Woods House is a historic house at 800 High St. in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, with a cross-gable roof configuration, and wooden clapboard and shingle siding. It is a fine local example of late Queen Anne Victorian style, with a three-story square tower in the crook of an L, topped by a pyramidal roof. Decorative cut shingles adorn the upper floor. The interior features high quality period woodwork in mahogany, oak, and pine. Built in 1902, it is a surviving example of houses that were typically seen in its neighborhood, just south of the Arkansas State Capitol.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The National Old Line Insurance Company Building is a historic office building at 501 Woodlane Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Originally built for the offices of National Old Line, it is now the Winthrop Rockefeller State Office Building. It is a modern six-story structure of concrete and steel, occupying much of the city block bounded by Woodlane, Capitol, Sixth, and Victory Streets. It is directly across Woodlane Street from the Arkansas State Capitol, and presently houses state offices. It was designed by Arkansas architect Yandell Johnson and built in 1953–54, with an addition in 1964–54. The exterior is characterized by alternating horizontal bands of windows and limestone panels, which encircle the structure. It is regarded as one of the best examples in the state of the International style of architecture. The penthouse was originally designed as an apartment for National Equity Insurance Co. founder Clyde E. Lowry and his wife Olive. National Equity merged with National Old Line in 1961. They never occupied the space. It was used frequently to host visiting dignitaries and celebrities including Carol Channing, Bob Hope, Neil Armstrong, Eleanor Roosevelt, Avery Dulles, and then Senator Lyndon and Lady Bird Johnson.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

The West 7th Street Historic District encompasses a collection of early 20th-century commercial buildings on the 800-1100 blocks of West 7th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. The thirteen buildings of the district were built between 1906 and 1951, and are mainly one and two-story masonry buildings with vernacular or modest commercial Italianate style. The Clok Building at 1001 W. 7th, built in 1915, notably has an elaborate concrete facade.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Monument to Confederate Women, also known as the "Mother of the South", is a commemorative sculpture on the grounds of the Arkansas State Capitol in Little Rock, Arkansas. It depicts a mother and two of her children saying goodbye to an older son who is dressed in a Confederate uniform. The sculpture is cast in bronze, and stands over 7 feet (2.1 m) in height. It is mounted in a multi-tiered pedestal, nearly 12 feet (3.7 m) in height, with sections made of concrete, granite, and marble. The statue was created by J. Otto Schweizer, and was dedicated in 1913. It was funded by the United Confederate Veterans.The memorial was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The Leiper-Scott House is a historic house at 312 South Pulaski Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a single-story brick structure, with a hip roof adorned with gabled and hipped projections and dormers in an asymmetrical style typical of the Queen Anne period. A porch extends across part of the front around to the side, supported by Tuscan columns mounted on brick piers, with a balustrade between them. The house was built in 1902 for Eric Leiper, owner of a local brickyard, and is locally unusual as a relatively modestly-scaled house built in brick.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Arkansas Confederate Soldiers Monument, also known as Defense of the Flag, is located on the east side of the Arkansas State Capitol grounds in Little Rock, just off 4th Street. It is a five-tiered marble structure, topped by a bronze statue of an angel standing on a sphere, and a bronze Confederate Army soldier on the front of its fourth tier. It was erected in 1904–05, with funding from a variety of sources, including the state, primarily through the efforts of a consortium of Confederate memorial groups. Originally located prominently near the main eastern entrance to the capitol building, it was later moved to its present location on the northeast lawn.The monument was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The Ten Commandments Monument is an outdoor monument installed on the Arkansas State Capitol grounds in Little Rock, Arkansas, in the United States. The monument is being challenged as unconstitutional by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The ACLU says that the monument demonstrates a religious preference, violating the First Amendment and the religious preference prohibition clause of the Arkansas State Constitution.

The Arkansas State Capitol, often called the Capitol Building, is the home of the Arkansas General Assembly, and the seat of the Arkansas state government that sits atop Capitol Hill at the eastern end of the Capitol Mall in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The General Assembly of Arkansas is the state legislature of the U.S. state of Arkansas. The legislature is a bicameral body composed of the upper house Arkansas Senate with 35 members, and the lower Arkansas House of Representatives with 100 members. All 135 representatives and state senators represent an equal number of constituent districts. The General Assembly convenes on the second Monday of every other year. A session lasts for 60 days unless the legislature votes to extend it. The governor of Arkansas can issue a "call" for a special session during the interims between regular sessions. The General Assembly meets at the Arkansas State Capitol in Little Rock.
