The Scotch Piper Inn in Lydiate, North West, England is the oldest pub in the historic county of Lancashire. The building dates from 1320 and is a Grade II* listed building.It is located on the A5147, 9 miles (14 km) from Liverpool and 11 miles (18 km) from Southport in the ceremonial county of Merseyside. It stands close to the site of Lydiate Hall and next to the remains of St Catherine's Chapel.
