Renningers is a census-designated place (CDP) in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 380 at the 2000 census.

Bohrman's Mill is a water-powered gristmill built in 1815 in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. The mill was located outside the town of Orwigsburg, along Mahonney Creek, which flows from Second Mountain. The mill was primarily used for grinding cornmeal and hulling oats, using a 20-foot overshot water wheel, later switching to a turbine system. The earliest known proprietor of the mill was George Heebner; another owner, Daniel Boyer, maintained the mill from 1865 to 1894. Since 1894 until its closing, the mill and subsequent farm was owned and operated by the Bohrman family. Though the mill no longer exists, like most others in Schuylkill County, the homes and several supporting structures still stand. The area around the old farm keeps the name Bohrman's Mill. The Bohrman family has surviving members in Orwigsburg, and several other places throughout Pennsylvania.

Orwigsburg is a borough in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. The borough was named for its founder, Peter Orwig, and created from West Brunswick Township in 1823. It was the original county seat until the seat was moved to Pottsville in 1851. The population was 2,995 at the time of the 2020 census.

The Schuylkill Haven Area School District is a small public school district in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. It serves the municipalities of Port Clinton, Landingville, Schuylkill Haven, and South Manheim Township. Schuylkill Haven Area School District encompasses approximately 55 square miles (140 km2). According to 2000 federal census data, it served a resident population of 8,202. By 2010, the district's population increased to 8,412 people. The educational attainment levels for the Schuylkill Haven Area School District population (25 years old and over) were 84.8% high school graduates and 15.8% college graduates. The district is one of the 500 public school districts of Pennsylvania and one of fourteen (14) public school districts in Schuylkill County in 2016. As of the 2021-22 school year, the school district has a student population of 1,166 and 94 teachers on a full-time basis for a student-teacher ratio of 12.4, according to National Center for Education Statistics. Schuylkill Haven High School is a small rural public high school located at 501 East Main Street in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania. It is the sole high school operated by Schuylkill Haven Area School District. As of the 2021–2022 school year, enrollment was 467 students in eighth through twelfth grades with 36.5 teachers on a full-time employment basis for a student-teacher ratio of 12.79, according to National Center for Education Statistics data. Schuylkill Haven High School students may choose to attend the Schuylkill Technology Center for training in: practical nursing; the construction and mechanical trades, as well as other careers. The Schuylkill Intermediate Unit IU29 provides the school with a wide variety of services, including specialized education for disabled students, state mandated training on recognizing and reporting child abuse, speech and visual disability services, and criminal background check processing for prospective employees and professional development for staff and faculty. Schuylkill Haven does not participate in its online credit recovery program.

Auburn Tunnel was a 19th-century canal tunnel built for the Schuylkill Canal near Auburn, Pennsylvania. It was the first transportation tunnel in the United States.The tunnel was deliberately added to the canal as a novelty, as the hill it was bored though could have easily been bypassed. It became a major attraction, with people traveling over 97 miles (156 km) upriver from Philadelphia to see it. It was periodically shortened, and in 1857 was daylighted to become an open-cut.

Schuylkill Haven is situated along the Schuylkill River, for which it is named. Schuylkill Haven is a focal point of activity in southern Schuylkill County. Schuylkill Haven is located 43.4 miles (69.8 km) west of Allentown, 92.6 miles (149.0 km) northwest of Philadelphia, and 131 miles (211 km) west of New York City.

South Manheim Township is a township that is located in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,751 at the time of the 2020 census.

The West Branch Schuylkill River (also known simply as the West Branch) is an approximately 12.9-mile-long (20.8 km) tributary of the Schuylkill River in central Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, with a watershed approximately 21 square miles (54 km2) in size. Several small communities are located in the watershed, which include Beaver Meadows, Buck Run, Glen Dower, Minersville, Pottsville, Cressona, and Schuylkill Haven. Mild amounts of acid mine drainage affect the West Branch and its tributaries. From its headwaters near Interstate 81, the river flows southeast through several water gaps in the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians, ending at its confluence with the Schuylkill River in Schuylkill Haven.
