The First Evangelical Reformed Church on Kentucky Route 80 in the small community of Bernstadt, Kentucky, is a historic church built in 1884. It has also been known as Swiss Colony Church. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.It was built by Swiss immigrants who were recruited to move from Switzerland to Laurel County, Kentucky in the late 1800s.

After a special election in January 2016 alcohol sales are permitted only in the city limits of London. The ordinance went into effect on March 27, 2016, 60 days after results of the election. Sue Bennett College was a private college in London, Kentucky which operated from 1897 through 1997. It was affiliated originally with the Methodist Episcopal Church, South and later the United Methodist Church. It began as an elementary school and ended its days as a four-year college.

The Poynter Building, on Main St. in London, Kentucky, was built in 1910. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It is a two-story common bond brick commercial building placed prominently on a corner in downtown London. It held the first drugstore in London. It was deemed "significant as the best example of turn of the century commercial architecture in London and because of its association with the development of significant modern commercial and communication facilities in London."

The Federal Building-Courthouse in London, Kentucky is a courthouse of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. It was built in 1911 under the supervision of architect James Knox Taylor, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
