Monclova Christian Academy is a private Christian school in Monclova, Ohio, United States, southwest of Toledo. It is a ministry of Monclova Road Baptist Church. Monclova Christian Academy was founded in 1999. In 2008, a preschool class was added to the academy.

Monclova Township is one of the eleven townships of Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The 2020 census found 14,827 people in the township.

The Shops at Fallen Timbers is a retail lifestyle center in Maumee, Ohio. The mall opened in October 2007 with three anchor stores: JCPenney, Dillard's and Barnes & Noble.

The Fallen Timbers Battlefield was the site of the Battle of Fallen Timbers on 20 August 1794. The battle, a decisive American victory over Native American and British opponents, effectively ended the Northwest Indian War, securing the Old Northwest for settlement. An area believed to be the battle site, located in Maumee, Ohio, was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1960. That site, now the Fallen Timbers State Memorial, is about 0.25 miles (0.40 km) south of the actual battlefield, which was identified in 1995, and much of which is now preserved as part of the Fallen Timbers Battlefield and Fort Miamis National Historic Site along with Fort Miami. The National Historic Site was established in 1999 as a partnership between the National Park Service, Toledo MetroParks, and the Ohio Historical Society.

The Battle of Fallen Timbers (20 August 1794) was the final battle of the Northwest Indian War, a struggle between Native American tribes affiliated with the Northwestern Confederacy and their British allies, against the nascent United States for control of the Northwest Territory. The battle took place amid trees toppled by a tornado near the Maumee River in northwestern Ohio at the site of the present-day city of Maumee, Ohio. Major General "Mad Anthony" Wayne's Legion of the United States, supported by General Charles Scott's Kentucky Militia, were victorious against a combined Native American force of Shawnee under Blue Jacket, Ottawas under Egushawa, and many others. The battle was brief, lasting little more than one hour, but it scattered the confederated Native American forces. The U.S. victory ended major hostilities in the region. The following Treaty of Greenville and Jay Treaty forced Native American displacement from most of modern-day Ohio, opening it to White American settlement, along with withdrawal of the British presence from the southern Great Lakes region of the United States.

McLaren St. Luke's Hospital was a non-profit hospital in Maumee, Ohio, operated by McLaren Health Care Corporation. McLaren announced it expected St. Luke's to wind down operations by mid-May, 2023 with assets being purchased by Mercy Health. The hospital officially closed on Monday, May 8, 2023. As of 4:00 PM local time on the day of closure, the McLaren St. Luke's website redirected to Mercy Perrysburg Hospital's website.

Anthony Wayne High School is a public high school in Whitehouse, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo. The school has an enrollment of approximately 1,330 students in grades 9–12 as of 2019–20. The school is named for General Anthony Wayne, who led troops in the nearby Battle of Fallen Timbers during the Northwest Indian War. The Anthony Wayne High School was established in 1951. It is the consolidation of Monclova, Waterville, and Whitehouse Schools. The school was featured in the 2010 MTV reality series If You Really Knew Me.

Side Cut Metropark is a regional park in Maumee, Ohio, owned and managed by Metroparks Toledo and named for being a sidecut on the Miami and Erie Canal. The sidecut was built over an 18-year period in the nineteenth century and completed in 1842, opening to boat traffic the following year. It closed in 1850 after being bypassed by an extension of the main canal. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.It features Bluegrass Island, a popular fishing destination. Obtained from the state of Ohio in the 1920s, Side Cut was the original metropark.
