Terre Haute South Vigo High School is a public high school located in Terre Haute, Indiana. As the name implies, the school's district covers the southern portion of Terre Haute, as well as most of southern Vigo County, the county in which Terre Haute is located. The school is located at 3737 S 7th St, Terre Haute, Indiana 47802.

The Fire Station No. 9 in Terre Haute, Indiana was built in 1906. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It is a two-story brick building which was operated as a fire station until 1980.

Booker T. Washington School, also known as District School #10 and Washington High School, is a historic school building located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It was built in 1914 and was designed by the firm of Miller & Yeager Architects. It is a two-story, rectangular brick building with Classical Revival style design elements.The structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 for its historical significance in African-American education in the area.In recent years through the end of the 2001–2002 school year, the building has housed Booker T. Washington High School, a school for pregnant, parenting and alternative students. Because of safety issues and compliance with current state standards, Washington High School moved from its original location to a new structure near Terre Haute South Vigo High School. As of June 2008, the original building was undergoing appraisal in preparation for being listed for sale.

Haute City Center, formerly Honey Creek Mall, is a shopping center in Terre Haute, Indiana, with 680,890 sq ft (63,257 m2) of gross leasing area. The mall has been owned by Out of the Box Ventures, a subsidiary of Lionheart Capital since 2019. The mall opened in 1968 as Honey Creek Square. The complex was expanded in 1973 and 1981, and was renovated in 1992 and 2007. The center was renamed to Honey Creek Mall at the time of the 1992 renovation. In 1999, a management contract for the mall was awarded to Trammell Crow Faison Regional Mall Services, a unit of Trammell Crow Co. of Dallas. The mall was then purchased by CBL & Associates Properties in 2004.The mall's anchor stores are JCPenney and Vendors Village. There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were once Macy's and Sears. Vendors Village opened in the former Carson's space in November 2018.The southern anchor building was originally Root Dry Goods, which was converted to L. S. Ayres in 1998 and Macy's in 2006. Carson's opened as Meis a store which re-located from downtown Terre Haute, and was later Elder-Beerman.In 1983, the city of Terre Haute annexed the land on which the mall was situated.On January 3, 2018, Macy's announced that they would close their store at the mall. This store closed in March 2018. In April 2018, Carson's parent company Bon-Ton filed for bankruptcy and closed all of its stores. In October 2018, Sears Holdings filed for bankruptcy and announced the closure of 142 stores including the unit at Honey Creek Mall which left JCPenney as the only traditional anchor left.A Vendor's Village store opened in the former Carson's space in November 2018The mall was renamed to Haute City Center on December 16, 2019.

Greenwood Elementary School, also known as the City School No. 21, is a historic elementary school building located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It was built in 1907–1908, and is a two-story, Classical Revival style brick building on a raised basement. It features two-story pilasters, broken pediments, and round arches on the interior. The building measures approximately 23,800 square feet. The building ceased use as a school in May 1988.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Coates College for Women was a liberal arts women's college in Terre Haute, Indiana. It opened in 1885 and closed in 1897.

Sage-Robinson-Nagel House, also known as the Historical Museum of the Wabash Valley, is a historic home located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It was built in 1868 and is a two-story, L-shaped, Italianate style brick dwelling. It has a low-pitched hipped roof with heavy double brackets, decorative front porch, and a projecting bay window.: 2–3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. It is located in the Farrington's Grove Historic District.

Terre Haute Action Track (also The Action Track) is a half-mile dirt racetrack located at the Vigo County, Indiana, fairgrounds on U.S. Route 41 along the south side of Terre Haute, Indiana. The track hosts annual United States Automobile Club (USAC) midget car, sprint car and Silver Crown events. Notable drivers that have competed at the track include A. J. Foyt, Jeff Gordon, Parnelli Jones, and Tony Stewart. The track has held events sanctioned by USAC, its predecessor American Automobile Association (AAA), and the World of Outlaws.

The Hoosier Hundred is a USAC Silver Crown Series race scheduled for Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park as of 2023. It is a revival of the original race held from 1953-2020 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Speedway, a one-mile dirt oval in Indianapolis, Indiana. The race was first held in 1953, and through 1970 was part of the National Championship. Over the years, the Hoosier Hundred was considered one of the richest and most prestigious open-wheel races in the United States. Seven winners of the Hoosier Hundred have also won the Indianapolis 500, led by A. J. Foyt, who has won six times. Therefore, the Indiana State Fairgrounds Speedway was known as the "Track of Champions."Qualifying and/or heat race(s) lead to the main event, originally 100 laps, 100 miles, but with the revival, will be 146 laps, 100.181 miles.

Farrington's Grove Historic District is a national historic district located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It encompasses 1,110 contributing buildings in a predominantly residential section of Terre Haute. It developed between about 1850 and 1935, with most built between 1890 and 1920, and includes representative examples of Greek Revival, Italianate, Queen Anne, and Colonial Revival style architecture. Located in the district are the separately listed Sage-Robinson-Nagel House and Williams-Warren-Zimmerman House. Other notable buildings include the English-Bogard House (1873), Kelley-Luther-Trent House (1901), Meyer-Gantner House (1923), Grover-Shannon-Lee House (1856), Potter-Steele-Tablr House (1870), Reckert-Robertson House (1890), Hawthorne Building (1871), and Temple Israel (1911).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
