The Miami Circle, also known as The Miami River Circle, Brickell Point, or The Miami Circle at Brickell Point Site, is an archaeological site in Brickell, Miami, Florida. It consists of a perfect circle measuring 38 feet (11.5m) of 600 postmolds that contain 24 holes or basins cut into the limestone bedrock, on a coastal spit of land, surrounded by a large number of other 'minor' holes. It is the only known evidence of a prehistoric permanent structure cut into the bedrock in the Eastern United States, and considerably predates other known permanent settlements on the East Coast. It is believed to have been the location of a structure, built by the Tequesta (also Tekesta) Indians, in what was possibly their capital. Discovered in 1998, the site is believed to be somewhere between 1,700 and 2,000 years old. On February 5, 2002, the site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was declared a National Historic Landmark on January 16, 2009.On February 3, 2014, the Miami Herald reported additional postholes had been excavated in Downtown Miami, further indicating presence of ancient habitation.The state bought the 2.5-acre site for $26.7 million to save the valuable historical artifact. Because of the fragility of the artifact, it was buried again beneath layers of limestone, rather than putting it on display.

W Miami, formerly Viceroy Miami, is a luxury hotel located in Brickell, Miami and part of the three tower mixed-use Icon Brickell complex. The hotel, located at 485 Brickell Avenue, opened in 2009 and contains several restaurants, pools, and lounges.Qatari hospitality investment firm Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (ARTIC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Al Faisal Holding, acquired the Viceroy Miami hotel in June 2016 for $64.5 million. Following the sale, the hotel was rebranded as W Miami.

EPIC Miami Residences and Hotel was a two-building condo-hotel to be constructed in Miami, Florida by Lionstone Hotels and Resorts. Only the first phase, Epic Hotel & Residences was built. Lionstone bought the former DuPont Plaza Hotel in August 2001 with the intention of renovating it at a cost of $80 million, but instead demolished it between April 2004 and January 2005.Lionstone formed a partnership with Ugo Colombo to develop the site of the former DuPont Plaza Hotel into EPIC Miami Residences and Hotel, a mixed-use development, at a cost of US$370 million. The first 342-unit tower, Epic, was completed in 2008, to be followed by a second nearly 600-unit tower. The 414-room hotel is currently managed by Kimpton Hotels. The second phase was cancelled during the recession, and the land was sold at a record unit price of $100 million per acre, at $125 million for the 1.25-acre (0.51-hectare) lot.

Epic Hotel is an urban hotel and residential skyscraper in Downtown Miami, Florida, United States. Epic is 601 feet (183 m) tall and has 54 floors. The tower is located on the north bank of the Miami River in Downtown Miami's Central Business District. It is bordered by Biscayne Boulevard Way on the west, Southeast 2nd Street to the north, the Miami River to the south, and Southeast 5th Avenue to the east. The architect of the complex is Revuelta Vega Leon. Epic was part of the EPIC Miami Residences and Hotel two-tower residential complex, consisting of the Epic Tower and the Dupont Tower, but the taller of the two, Dupont Tower, was canceled. If it had been built, the Dupont Tower would have stood 609 ft (186 m) tall and contain 60 floors. The Dupont Tower was named after the Alfred I. DuPont Building, a National Historic Building from the 1930s that is also in Miami. In 2014, the 1.25-acre (0.51-hectare) Epic 2 site sold for US$125 million, a record-breaking rate of $100 million per acre.

The Brickell Mausoleum is a historic mausoleum located in Miami, Florida at 501 Brickell Avenue. On January 4, 1989, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Dupont Plaza Hotel was a major hotel in downtown Miami, Florida from 1957 until 2004. It occupied a section of the former site of the Royal Palm Hotel. The Dupont Plaza Hotel was the first major hotel of its generation built in downtown Miami since the collapse of the tourist boom in 1926. Popular till the 1960s, the Dupont Plaza Hotel was a coveted destination for domestic visitors. It did get a resurgence of interest in the 1980s and early 1990s, but then suffered some financial troubles.Lionstone Hotels and Resorts bought the remaining land of the former Dupont Plaza Hotel in August 2001. Originally, Lionstone was going to completely renovate the hotel for $80 million, but changed its mind and decided to demolish the existing structure and start anew. Renovations were going to include extended stay hotel rooms and a trade center to replace office space. Demolitions for the Dupont Plaza Hotel was started in April 2004 and completed in January 2005.

500 Brickell is a residential complex in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami, Florida, United States. The complex consists of two condominium towers, 500 Brickell West Tower and 500 Brickell East Tower. The two buildings were designed as twin towers, and rise 426 feet (130 meters), with 42 floors. Both skyscrapers were designed by the Arquitectonica architectural firm and the complex was developed by Thomas Kramer's Portofino Group in partnership with the Related Group of Florida. The towers' construction began in April 2005, was topped out in mid-2007 and was completed in 2008. MyBrickell: From 2012 to 2014 a smaller building named myBrickell was built directly to the west of 500 Brickell, on the same lot. It has no parking built in, but is connected to the pedestal of 500 Brickell via skybridge. It was the first high-rise building built in Miami after the Great Recession, and sold out in 2014.

First Presbyterian Church is a historic church in Miami, Florida, USA. It is located at 609 Brickell Avenue in Greater Downtown Miami. Built in 1949, it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 (submitted in 1988), and designated historic by the City of Miami in 2003. The congregation dates back as far as the city of Miami, 1896, with the original building on another property being funded by Henry Flagler in 1900. The architect of the current building was Lester Geisler. The building represents a late example of the Mediterranean Revival architecture, popular in South Florida earlier in the century. The building sits on a three-acre property surrounded by high-rises. Built for a congregation of over 1,000, church membership dwindled from 1400 to less than 150 by the early aughts.In 2018, under the leadership of Pastor Christopher Atwood, the church incurred a $7.1 million tax bill by the Miami-Dade Property Appraiser. This is due to claims that the church leased the property to for-profit entities such as a school and food trucks thus violating the religious exception rule.In 2023, a proposal moved forward to build an 80 storey supertall skyscraper on the waterfront behind the church, replacing a surface lot, while the church would be preserved and partially expanded into the new tower. 609 Brickell Avenue - The Skyscraper Center

Aston Martin Residences is a skyscraper under construction in Miami, located in downtown along the Miami River and Biscayne Bay. It is expected to be the tallest all-residential building south of New York City, though it is slightly shorter than the Panorama Tower in nearby Brickell. The building will feature a full-service marina that can accommodate superyachts. The building will have nearly 400 residences, the majority of which have been sold as of 2020. The main penthouse unit includes an Aston Martin Vulcan with purchase. The building topped out in December 2021. Aston Martin Residences is being developed by G&G Business Developments in conjunction with Aston Martin. Miami-based Cervera Real Estate is handling sales of the 66-story tower.

The Brickell Avenue Bridge is a bascule bridge in Downtown Miami, Florida, that carries U.S. Route 1 (US 1; Brickell Avenue) over the Miami River. The original Brickell Avenue Bridge was built in 1929, and replaced in 1995.Brickell Avenue Bridge was widened by one additional northbound lane in 2006 to reduce the traffic bottleneck through downtown. Before this there were three southbound but only two northbound lanes. Currently there are three lanes in each direction as well as a pedestrian walkway on both sides. Still, the bridge causes frequent traffic delays on the busy Brickell Avenue when it opens. According to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the bridge opened 4,990 times in 2010.The statue is a 53-foot bronze monument commissioned by the Florida Department of Transportation and created by Cuban dculptor Manuel Carbonell in 1995. The Pillar of History is a 36-foot high carved bas-relief column that graphically narrates the lives of the Tequesta Indians, Miami's first inhabitants, and features 158 figures. At the top stands a 17-foot bronze sculpture, "Tequesta Family" portraying a Tequesta Indian warrior aiming an arrow to the sky, looking for space in eternity, with his wife and child by his side, while the son covers his face in expectation of their extinction. top.Carbonell also created four bas reliefs, measuring 4-feet by 8-feet, which were installed in niches on the bridge's supporting piers. Each relief honors Miami's early founders and pioneers - William and Mary Brickell, Henry Flagler, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, and Julia Tuttle.

Met 3 is part of Metropolitan Miami, a complex of four skyscrapers in the central business district of Downtown Miami, Florida, United States. Met 3 was proposed as the tallest of the four towers, was originally under construction during the 2000s real estate bubble and planned for completion in 2011. However, the project was put on hold. By 2011 construction had never gotten past site preparation, until the new design finally began construction in December 2011. If completed as originally proposed, the 828 feet Met 3 would have been the tallest building in Miami and the state of Florida. It would have contained 76 floors, which would have also made it the tallest building in the United States south of New York City in terms of floor count. In total height, it would have also been the tallest residential building south of New York, consisting of residential condominium units, passing the Four Seasons Hotel Miami, which holds that distinction currently.

The Wells Fargo Center (previously known as Met 2 Financial Center) is part of the Metropolitan Miami complex in the central business district of Downtown Miami, Florida. It was completed in 2010 and is the ninth tallest building in Miami, as well as the tenth in Florida. The Wells Fargo Center is adjacent to the JW Marriott Marquis Miami, a 31-story, 367-foot (112 m) building which is occupied by a JW Marriott Hotel building. The two structures are connected to each other via a parking garage. The Metropolitan Miami project gained attention due to NBA star Shaquille O'Neal's involvement in the project. In 2006, he formed the O'Neal Group, a building-development company. The Metropolitan Miami project was the group's first project.
