The Major Seminary, Warmond (Dutch: Grootseminarie Warmond) was one of the most important centres for the education of Roman Catholic clergy in the Netherlands from its establishment in 1799 until its closure in 1967. The building, which is partly a registered monument (Rijksmonument 38285), was then for some years used as a retirement home for the clergy and members of religious orders. Since 2017 it has been redeveloped into residential units, some as service flats.

Warmond (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋɑrmɔnt] (listen)) is a village and former municipality in the Western Netherlands, north of Leiden in the province of South Holland. The municipality covered an area of 14.42 km² (5.57 mile², 30.7%) of which 4.42 km² (1.71 mile²) is water; had a population of 4,977 in 2004. Together with Sassenheim and Voorhout, it became part of the Teylingen municipality on 1 January 2006. Warmond is situated on a lake system called Kagerplassen and has several marinas which make it a popular recreational area for boating and other water sports. An 18th-century mansion called "Huys te Warmond" ("House at Warmond") is located north of the village along the main road. The Groot Seminarie Warmond (Warmond Great Seminary) was founded here in 1799. Located in a converted in the former French Boarding School, it provided training for Priests until 1967. The only known surviving copy of Joos Lambrecht Dutch-French dictionary, the Naembouck, was discovered by Wytze Hellinga in the library here shortly after it was closed.The first railway accident in the Netherlands occurred near Warmond on 10 March 1843. 1 person was killed.

Teylingen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈtɛilɪŋə(n)] (listen)) is a municipality in the Western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. It was created on 1 January 2006, through the amalgamation of Sassenheim, Voorhout and Warmond. It is named after Teylingen Castle, located in Voorhout. In 2019, it had a population of 37,061. The municipality is bordered by Noordwijkerhout and Lisse to the north, Haarlemmermeer and Alkemade to the east, Leiderdorp and Leiden to the south, Oegstgeest and Katwijk to the west. It is located in an area called the "Dune and Bulb Region" (Duin- en Bollenstreek). The Kagerplassen are to the east of Sassenheim.

Voorhout (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈvoːrɦʌut] (listen)) is a village and former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The former municipality covered an area of 12.59 km2 (4.86 mile²) of which 0.33 km2 (0.13 mile²) is covered by water, and had a population of 14,792 in 2004. Together with Sassenheim and Warmond, it became part of the Teylingen municipality on January 1, 2006. Voorhout is located in an area called the "Dune and Bulb Region" (Duin- en Bollenstreek). It also included the communities of Piet Gijzenbrug (partly) and Teijlingen with the Slot Teylingen.

Voorhout is a railway station located in Voorhout, Netherlands. The station is on the Amsterdam–Rotterdam railway and the first station opened on 15 February 1892. This station closed on 17 September 1944. On 1 March 1997 the station re-opened. It is a simple station with two platforms on opposite sides of the tracks. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen.

Sportpark Hofbrouckerlaan is a cricket ground in Oegstgeest, Netherlands. The first and to date only recorded match on the ground came in 2003, when the ground held a Women's One Day International between the Netherlands Women and Scotland Women at the 2003 IWCC Trophy.The ground is used by Ajax Cricket Club and Leidse Studenten Cricket Club.

Hol Maren is a mansion in Oegstgeest, Netherlands on the Haarlemmertrekvaart, 21. The mansion was built in 1892 and was designed by the architect Hendrik Jesse (1860-1943) for the landowner and river fish trader Johannes Spaargaren. The mansion is shaped as a block in old Dutch style with elements from the Dutch Neo-Renaissance, such as decorative arcs above the windows on the ground floor. The garden has the characteristics of a park.Hol Maren is a municipal monument since 1991.

Sassenheim is a railway station in Sassenheim, Netherlands and is situated on the Schiphollijn (Weesp - Leiden). Construction began in 2009 and the station was opened on 9 December 2011, while train services started on 11 December 2011. The station has 2 platforms.

The Leidse Hout (English: Leiden Woods) is a public urban park in Leiden, Netherlands. It is located between the border of Oegstgeest, approximately 1.5 kilometers northwest of the Leiden city center, and on the northern border of the Leiden Diaconessenhuis hospital. The park was opened on June 30, 1931 and was the product of a governmental program that provided work for the unemployed during the Great Depression. A tea house, deer park, and a music pavilion is incorporated into the park. Additionally, there is an adjacent sports park with tennis courts, soccer fields, a track, and a softball field.

Sassenheim (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈsɑsə(n)ɦɛim] (listen)) is a town and former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The former municipality covered an area of 6.62 km² (of which 0.23 km² water) and had a population of 14,906 in 2005. Since 1 January 2006, it is part of the Teylingen municipality. In 2020, the population reached 15,755. The name Sassenheim consists of two parts; the first (Sassen) means Saxons, and the second portion (heim) is Old Frankish for "home".

Oegstgeest (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌuxstˈxeːst] (listen)) is a town and municipality in the province of South Holland in the western Netherlands. Its population was 24,426 in 2019.
