Fort Fareham is one of the Palmerston Forts, in Fareham, England. After the Gosport Advanced Line of Fort Brockhurst, Fort Elson, Fort Rowner, Fort Grange and Fort Gomer had been approved by the Royal Commission on the Defence of the United Kingdom a decision was made to build an outer line of three more forts two miles in advance of the Gosport Advanced Line. Of these three projected forts only Fort Fareham was built due to the need to cut costs. It acted as a hinge between the forts on Portsdown Hill and those of the Gosport Advanced Line, filling the gap at Fareham. It has been a Grade II Listed Building since 1976.

Fareham Town F.C. is a football club based in Fareham, Hampshire, England. The club is affiliated to the Hampshire Football Association, and is an FA Charter Standard club. They play in the Wessex League Premier Division.

Crofton was a village in the area of Stubbington that was mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086. It was called 'Croftone' then. This is where many local facilities derive their name, such as Crofton Secondary School. The community centre, once Stubbington House School that educated Polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott, is also named after Crofton.

Crofton School is a coeducational secondary school, located in Stubbington, Hampshire, England. The school has around 1200 students aged between 11 and 16 (years 7 to 11). The school accepts pupils from the areas of: Stubbington, Hill Head, Titchfield, Peel Common, Gosport and Locks Heath. Crofton opened in 1974 as a purpose-built mixed comprehensive school. The headteacher is Simon Harrison who was appointed in January 2017. Crofton was awarded Specialist Science Status in 2005 but this has since been revoked.Crofton has two 'feeder' schools: Crofton Hammond Junior School and Crofton Anne Dale Junior School. Attendance at one of these feeder schools is a factor in admission to Crofton School.As of 2022, the school's most recent judgement by Ofsted is Good, following a short inspection in 2018 which confirmed the previous judgement from a full inspection in 2014.Previously a foundation school administered by Hampshire County Council, in April 2023 Crofton School converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by the HISP Multi Academy Trust.

Fareham ( FAIR-əm) is a market town at the north-west tip of Portsmouth Harbour, between the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton in south east Hampshire, England. It gives its name to the Borough of Fareham. It was historically an important manufacturer of bricks, used to build the Royal Albert Hall, and grower of strawberries and other seasonal fruits.

Baycroft School is a day, community special school for secondary-aged students, who experience learning difficulties and autism. Baycroft School is in partnership with the Pioneer Teaching Alliance to raise standards and to help students in the local community.

Heart Solent was a local radio station owned and operated by Global Radio as part of the Heart network. It broadcast to southern and western parts of Hampshire, West Sussex, Dorset and Isle of Wight. The station launched on 30 July 2010 as a result of a merger between Heart Hampshire (formerly Ocean Sound) and Heart Dorset & New Forest (formerly 2CR).

Westbury Manor Museum is the main town centre museum located at 84 West Street, Fareham, Hampshire, England. It features a variety of exhibits on local history, such as the use of Fareham red bricks in the construction of the Royal Albert Hall. It also has a small café and gift shop. The museum is housed in an 18th-century Grade II* listed building with formal Victorian style gardens to the rear, formerly used as the offices of Fareham Urban District from 1934 to 1976. Westbury Manor Museum opened in 1990.In 2014 ownership of the museum was transferred to the Hampshire Cultural Trust as part of a larger transfer of museums from Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council.

The Church of the Sacred Heart is the Roman Catholic parish church of the town of Fareham in Hampshire, southern England. It opened in 1878 on a centrally located site, replacing a converted shed which had been used for worship since 1873. John Crawley, a London-based architect whose other nearby Catholic churches include Portsmouth's Catholic cathedral and St Joseph's Church, Havant, was responsible for the design—a "small and well-detailed essay" in flint and brick, in the Decorated Gothic Revival style. The parish has a second church in an outer part of Fareham, but another in the nearby village of Portchester has closed and has been demolished.

Rowner is a small settlement which forms part of the borough of Gosport, on the south coast of Hampshire, England.
