Doak Field (or The Doak) is a baseball venue in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. It opened in 1966 and is home to the North Carolina State University Wolfpack college baseball team of the NCAA's Division I Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). It is named for Charles Doak, who was the head coach of the NC State baseball team from 1924 to 1939. The stadium is located on NC State's West Campus, behind Lee and Sullivan residence halls. The diamond is in the north/northwest corner of its block, which is bounded by Thurman Drive (third base, north/northeast); Dail Park and the residence halls (left field, east/southeast); Sullivan Drive (right field, south/southwest); and Varsity Drive (first base, west/northwest). Its seating capacity is 2,500 spectators, with an overflow capacity of 3,000. The largest crowd at Doak Field since its 2004 renovation was 3,109 on April 28, 2007, in a series finale between NC State and its rival UNC. Doak Field hosted the Atlantic Coast Conference baseball tournament in both 1974 and in 1980. NC State won the championship in 1974, while Clemson won in 1980.Prior to 1966, the Wolfpack played their home games at Riddick Stadium, which was primarily a football facility. In 1997, Doak Field hosted the Raleigh RedWolves, a collegiate summer baseball team of the Coastal Plain League.In May 2004, the stadium underwent a $6 million renovation which included leveling the playing field, a new drainage system, new grandstands, a new press box, and new concessions and bathroom facilities.Since the renovation was completed in 2004, the dimensions at Doak Field are asymmetrical at 320 feet down the left-field line, 370 feet to the left-field power alley, 400 feet to straightaway center field, 375 feet to the right-field power alley, and 330 down the right-field line. The wall from the left-field line to deep left-center field is 16 feet high, then drops to eight feet high all the rest of the way around to right field.In 2013, the Wolfpack ranked 33rd among Division I baseball programs in attendance, averaging 1,994 per home game. In 2014, the Wolfpack ranked 45th in attendance, averaging 1,344 per home game.The student section of the grandstands along the third base line is known as Avent's Army. It is named for NC State baseball coach Elliott Avent.

The Brewery was a music venue located on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Brewery was opened in 1983 by Kenny Hobby and later reopened in 2004 by Tom Taylor. The Brewery had long been a stop for up-and-coming touring acts as well as established acts with a somewhat diminished fan base. In 2011 The Brewery officially closed its doors after 28 years and the building was demolished.

The Poole College of Management is the business school of the North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The college, accredited by the AACSB in 2000, currently enrolls more than 3,500 students across its undergraduate and graduate academic programs. The college employs around 100 full-time faculty members across its four academic departments: Accounting, Business Management, Economics, and Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The Jenkins Graduate School of Management is the graduate program at North Carolina State University. It is part of NC State's College of Management and is located in Raleigh, North Carolina, part of North Carolina's Research Triangle Park.

G. Milton Small and Associates Office Building is a historic home and office located on Brooks Avenue in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. It was designed by architect G. Milton Small (1916-1992), who also designed the Small House, and built in 1966. It is a one floor, steel-frame Miesian style building that covers most of a 69-foot by 155-foot flat lot. It features grids of aluminum mullions carrying metal panels and sheets of glass, and an overhanging flat roof. It housed the architecture firm of G. Milton Small and Associates.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Royal Baking Company is a historic bakery complex located at Raleigh, North Carolina. The original section was built in 1941, with additions made about 1946–1947, and in the 1960s. The office section is constructed of cinder block with a facing of blond bricks and features corner-wrapping, metal-framed, ribbon windows in the International style. The building also has cylindrical lamps with Art Deco style metal wall mounts. The building has been converted to a retail complex.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station Cottage, also known as College Station and Hezouri House, is a historic home located at Raleigh, North Carolina. It built in 1886 to house the residence and office of the North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station, It is a two-story, frame farmhouse with elements of Gothic Revival, Italianate, and Queen Anne style architecture. It has a cross-gable roof and features sawnwork decoration on the front porch and gables. The building housed the first agricultural experiment station in North Carolina. The station closed in 1926, and it was subsequently used as a residence.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The West Raleigh Historic District in Raleigh, North Carolina is a national historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. Located 1.5 miles (2.41 km) west-northwest of the State Capitol, the district encompasses approximately 332 acres (134 ha). Neighborhoods in the district include: Bedford Heights, Bagwell, Blue Moon Ridge, College Crest (now known as Stanhope), Fairmont, Forest Hills, Harris-Chamberlain, and Wilmont. Most homes in these neighborhoods are one-story and were constructed between the 1930s to 1950s. While the district is mostly residential, churches and commercial buildings are common along Hillsborough Street.Enterprise Street, Chamberlain Street, and Rosemont Avenue form the eastern boundaries of the district. Mayview Road, Rosedale Avenue, Ruffin Street, and Furches Street form the northern boundary while Faircloth Street is the district's western boundary. Hillsborough Street forms the southern boundary, except from Dixie Trail to Henderson Street where the boundary moves southward to include the Stanhope neighborhood. Most of the district residents include faculty and students from North Carolina State University.

The university forms one of the corners of the Research Triangle together with Duke University in Durham and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity".The North Carolina General Assembly established the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, now NC State, on March 7, 1887, originally as a land-grant college. WKNC-FM (88.1 FM) is North Carolina State University's student-run, non-commercial college radio station broadcasting from Raleigh, North Carolina in the United States. Broadcasting with an effective radiated power of 25,000 watts, its signal covers much of the Research Triangle and outlying areas. The station is operated as part of the Department of Student Media at N.C. State and students hold all roles from DJ to general manager. The primary weekday format is indie rock, with specialty shows and other music genres featured during the evenings and weekends.

University Plaza, or more commonly The Brickyard, is a public plaza at the heart of North Carolina State University's North Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is the university's most active court and has been the site of numerous special events, including concerts, memorials, campaign rallies and political protests.

The D. H. Hill Jr. Library is one of two main libraries at North Carolina State University. It is the third building to house the NC State University Libraries, following Brooks Hall and Holladay Hall. The current building, situated on the Hillsborough Street edge of North Campus, is the result of four stages of construction, and houses the majority of the volumes in NC State's collection. As of 2020, the system's total holdings amount to over 3.28 million available volumes, 122,839 electronic journal subscriptions, 511 print subscriptions, 685 bibliographic databases, and access to over 1.3 million electronic books. In the 2019–2020 academic year, the Libraries saw over 16 million total uses. The Libraries' collection is the smallest among the "Big 3" Universities in the Triangle Research Libraries Network—the other two library systems being Duke University (7.26 million volumes as of 2016) and UNC at Chapel Hill (9.19 million volumes as of 2016).
