Hummelo

Hummelo en Keppel is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It was created in 1818, when the municipalities of Hummelo and Keppel merged, and existed until 2005, when the area became a part of the new municipality of Bronckhorst.

Keppel Castle is a castle in the town of Laag-Keppel in the municipality of Bronckhorst, in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The castle stands on an island between two branches of the Oude IJssel. The current building was rebuilt in the 17th century after it was destroyed in 1582.

Laag-Keppel is a small city with city privileges (since 1404) between Doetinchem and Doesburg in the Netherlands. Situated along the main thoroughfare between these two larger cities, there is heavy traffic moving through at all times. Laag-Keppel has an estimated 455 residents. However, the peaceful neighbourhood this has provided has attracted many young couples looking to raise children in this forested area, surrounded by farmlands. Thus the current population of Laag-Keppel is a diverse mix of many ages, though ethnic and religious diversity is hard to find, as most immigrants move to large cities. Laag-Keppel features a number of historical buildings, foremost being the medieval Keppel Castle and windmill-watermill combination, both recently restored, and kept in good condition.

Keppel is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Gelderland, consisting of the villages of Laag-Keppel and Hoog-Keppel. It existed until 1818, when it merged with Hummelo to form the new municipality of Hummelo en Keppel.

Wehl is a town in the eastern Netherlands, about 5 km west of Doetinchem. Wehl was a part of Prussia until 1808, when it was joined to the Netherlands. In those years it was officially a part of Zeddam. Wehl became an independent municipality in 1813, when it was given back to Prussia; in 1816, it returned to the Netherlands. It remained an independent municipality until the municipal reorganization on 1 January 2005, when Wehl became part of the larger neighbouring municipality of Doetinchem.The former municipality also included the village of Nieuw-Wehl, 3 km to the west.

Doetinchem De Huet is a railway station located in western Doetinchem, Netherlands. The station lies between the quarters De Huet and Dichteren. The station was opened on 2 June 1985 as a replacement for the previous station Doetinchem West (earlier: Doetinchem-Wijnbergen (1885-1965)), which was open from 1885 to 1985. It's located on the Winterswijk–Zevenaar railway. Train services are operated by Arriva and Breng. In a Railpro survey in 2005 there were approximately 1,232 passengers per day using Doetinchem De Huet station.

Wehl is a railway station located in Wehl, Netherlands. The station was opened in 15 July 1885 and is located on the Winterswijk–Zevenaar railway. The train services are operated by Arriva and Breng.

Aurora is a tower mill in Dichteren, Gelderland, Netherlands which was built in 1870 and has been restored to working order. The mill is listed as a Rijksmonument.

Drempt is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Bronckhorst. It used to consists of two villages: Achter-Drempt (behind) and Voor-Drempt (in front) which have merged. Drempt is located about 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) north-west of Doetinchem.

Villa Bouchina was the parsonage of the Christian Reformed Church in the City of Doetinchem, Province of Gelderland. From February 27 until April 21, 1943, it was used temporarily to house nine Jews, including three children, who were known as Mussert Jews.

Stad Doetinchem is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It consisted of the city of Doetinchem and its immediate surroundings. The larger surrounding countryside was a separate municipality, called Ambt Doetinchem. Stad Doetinchem existed until 1920, when it merged with Ambt Doetinchem to form a single municipality Doetinchem.

Nieuw-Wehl is a village in the eastern Netherlands, about 10 km west of Doetinchem. Before 1 January 2005, it was part of the municipality of Wehl, along with neighboring village Wehl. After the division, Nieuw-Wehl joined the municipality of Doetinchem.Nieuw-Wehl was first mentioned between 1830 and 1855 as "Achter Wehl", meaning behind Wehl. It started to develop in the early 20th century. In 1925, a Roman Catholic church was built. In 1933, the name officially changed to Nieuw-Wehl. The grist mill Bernadette was built in 1861 and restored in 1965 and 1998.
