Montes de Málaga

Montes de Málaga Natural Park (Spanish: Parque Natural Montes de Málaga) is the name of a natural park in Andalusia, Spain. It is named after the Montes de Málaga range located near Málaga city and was established in 1989.

The Jardín Botánico Histórico La Concepción is an landscape garden with over one hundred and fifty years of history. It is located at the northern entrance of the Spanish city of Málaga. This garden is one of the few gardens with subtropical plants that exist in Europe. It has more than fifty thousand plants, of two thousand species of tropical, subtropical, and autochthonous, highlighting the collection with more than one hundred different species of palms, bamboos, aquatic plants and its historical garden. It originally was a recreational estate of a family of the upper bourgeoisie of the city from the mid-19th century until 1990 when it became public property. The Málaga City Council founded for its management the Municipal Botanical Board 'Ciudad de Málaga'.

Ciudad Jardín (Spanish for Garden City), also known as District 3, is one of the 11 districts of the city of Málaga, Spain. Lycée Français de Málaga (Spanish: Liceo Francés de Málaga) is a French international school in Málaga, Spain. It serves levels petite section through terminale, the final year of lycée (senior high school/sixth form college). It occupies a former sports club.

The Taifa of Málaga (Arabic: طائفة مالقة) was an Andalusī Islamic taifa kingdom located in what is now southern Spain. It existed during four distinct time periods: from 1026 to 1057, 1073 to 1090, 1145 to 1153, and 1229 to 1239, when the polity was finally conquered by the Emirate of Granada.

The archaeological site Peñas de Cabrera, containing numerous rock shelters, is located in the municipality of Casabermeja (Spain). The entire surrounding area of Las Peñas de Cabrera, rife with natural minerals, rocks and fossils, is named after one of its districts of the same name. The entire complex of mountains and valleys consists of many shelters revealing rock art of paintings and engravings. In the early 1970s the University of Málaga began research in Peñas de Cabrera, focusing particularly on its rock and cave paintings. Thereafter the area became well known to the scientific community, as the University had laid the groundwork for all subsequent exploration. The shelters and caves were later studied by eminent researchers who carried out archaeological surveys, tracings,[1] and topographical mappings and drew up an inventory of rock and cave paintings. One hundred and thirty five cave paintings spread out over twenty shelters were discovered. As of 2016 thirty-two rock shelters featuring paintings, engravings and archaeological material, mainly ceramic and flint (Silex), have been recorded. Alongside these are also a number of shelters being studied that show scientific potential, but which are pending investigation depending upon the results of further archaeological surveys.

Estadio La Rosaleda (Spanish pronunciation: [esˈtaðjo la rosaˈleða]; literally The Rose Garden) is a football stadium in the city of Málaga, in Andalucia, southern Spain. It is the home stadium of Málaga CF in Segunda División and was previously that of the Club Deportivo Málaga, of which Málaga CF is heir. The subsidiary Atlético Malagueño also used it as a habitual pitch during his time in the second division. The Costa del Sol Trophy Cup, organized annually by the Málaga Football Club together with the Municipality of Málaga, is held in this stadium. With a capacity of 30,044 seats, it is the 18th-largest stadium in Spain and the 4th-largest in Andalusia. This replaced the football field Málaga historic arena of Baños del Carmen. When it flooded, the rose garden had to be used for the first time on 13 April 1941 with a fixture between the CD Málaga and AD Ferroviaria. However, the official inauguration took place on 14 September 1941, with a friendly match between the CD Málaga and Sevilla. In this match, CD Málaga also premiered name since its previous name was CD Malacitano.

Mount Gibralfaro, Spanish: Monte Gibralfaro, is a hill located in Málaga in southeast Spain. It is a 130 m high foothill of the Montes de Málaga, part of the Cordillera Penibética.At the top of the hill stands the Castle of Gibralfaro overlooking Málaga city and the Mediterranean Sea, and connected by a walled corridor to the Alcazaba of Málaga.

The Reding Fountain is a historic 17th-century fountain located in the Andalusian city of Málaga, Spain. It has been reproduced countless times by local painters. It is located at one end of the Príes Avenue and pipes spring water from the Mount Gibralfaro.

St. Stanislaus Kostka College (Spanish: Colegio San Estanislao de Kostka) is a private Catholic primary and secondary school and vocational training centre, located in the neighborhood of El Palo in the East District of Málaga, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. The school was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1882.

The English Cemetery in Málaga (Spanish: Cementerio Inglés de Málaga), or Anglican Cemetery, or Cemetery of St George, is the oldest non-Roman Catholic Christian cemetery established on mainland Spain.

The Museum Jorge Rando is the first expressionist museum in Málaga, Andalusia, Spain. Dedicated to the painter Jorge Rando, it collects his works and it temporally hosts the works of other national and international artists belonging to this movement. It was officially inaugurated on May 28, 2015.
