De Bente

Coevorden (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈkuvɔrdə(n)] ; Dutch Low Saxon: Koevern) is a city and municipality in the province of Drenthe, Netherlands. During the 1998 municipal reorganisation in the province, Coevorden merged with Dalen, Sleen, Oosterhesselen and Zweeloo, retaining its name. In August 2017, it had a population of 35,267.

Coevorden is a railway station located in Coevorden, Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 July 1905 and is located on the Zwolle–Emmen railway. The station is operated by Arriva. Coevorden is also the end of a freight railway from Bad Bentheim.

Pikveld is a neighbourhood of Coevorden and a hamlet in the province of Drenthe in the Netherlands. Pikveld was first mentioned in 1600 as Leenert ten Pickvelt, and means "pitch field". In 1840, it was home to 18 people. Nowadays there are about 20 houses in the hamlet. It is also the name of the nearby neighbourhood of Coevorden which is significantly larger.

Grenzaa or Schoonebeker Diep is a river on the border of Lower Saxony, Germany and Drenthe, Netherlands, near the town Twist. It forms some of the border between the Netherlands and Germany. Through the Coevorden-Piccardie-Kanal and the Coevorden-Vechtkanaal it discharges into the Vechte near Coevorden.

Dalen is a railway station located in Dalen, Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 November 1905 and is located on the Emmerlijn (Zwolle - Emmen). Train services are operated by Arriva. The station was closed between 2 October 1938 and 10 June 1940, 17 September 1944 and 27 June 1945 and 14 May 1950 and 31 May 1987.

Dalen (Dutch Low Saxon: Daoln) is a village and a former municipality in the northeastern Netherlands, in the province of Drenthe. Since 1998, Dalen has been part of the municipality of Coevorden. The village was first mentioned in the 12th century as "in Dalon". The etymology is unclear. Dalen is an esdorp which developed in the Early Middle Ages along the road from Coevorden to Groningen. It contains two triangular village greens.The Dutch Reformed church is an aisleless church with a tower from the 15th century. The church was damaged during the Siege of Coevorden of 1813 and rebuilt in 1824.There are many shops and restaurants, bakeries and a pub called the D'aolle Bakkerij. The village is known for its two windmills, Jan Pol and De Bente, which are open to the public. There is a family resort from Center Parcs called 'De Huttenheugte' and next to the resort lies the theme park Plopsa Indoor. Dalen railway station has connections to Emmen and Coevorden/Zwolle.

Klooster is a hamlet in the Netherlands and is part of the Coevorden municipality in Drenthe. Klooster is a statistical entity, however the postal authorities have placed it under Coevorden. It was first mentioned in 1328 as "een huys geheiten ten Cloester by Coevorden", and refers to the monastery Maria in Campis which was closed in the area until 1259 when they moved to Assen. In 1840, it was home to 85 people.

Hoogehaar is a hamlet in the Netherlands and is part of the Coevorden municipality in Drenthe. Hoogehaar is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Dalen. It was first mentioned in the 1850s as De Hooge Haar, and means "sandy ridge". The hamlet consists of about 10 houses.
