Vlieghuis

Padhuis (Low German: Pathuus) is a hamlet in the Netherlands and is part of the Coevorden municipality in Drenthe. Padhuis has a joint statistical listing with Vlieghuis, but the postal authorities have placed it under Coevorden. It was first mentioned in 1276 as "inter domos que dicuntur Venehus et Pathhus", and can either mean "house on a path" or "house near a swamp". In 1840, it was home to 34 people. There are 5 oil wells in the hamlet.

Zandpol is a village in the Netherlands and it is part of the Emmen municipality in Drenthe. It was first mentioned in 1975, and means "sand hill". It was the location of the local swimming pool, but has been reduced to a nature bath due to cut backs.

Emlichheim (Low German: Emmelkamp) is a municipality in the district of Grafschaft Bentheim in Lower Saxony, Germany, roughly 20 km south of Emmen, and 25 km northwest of Nordhorn.

Schoonebeek is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is located in the municipality of Emmen, about 12 km (7 mi) south of that city. Schoonebeek was a separate municipality from 1884 to 1997, when it merged with Emmen. The area is home of the largest onshore oil field in Europe; known as the Schoonebeek oil field.

Nooitgedacht (English: Would never have thought it) is a smock mill in Veenoord, Drenthe, in the Netherlands, which has been restored to working order. The mill was built (in its current location) in 1916 and is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 33786.

Weijerswold is a hamlet in the Netherlands and is part of the Coevorden municipality in Drenthe, east of the city of Coevorden. Weijerswold is a road village on a sandy hill dating for the Middle Ages. It was first mentioned in 1520 as "beneden den graven die van Wijerdeswolde daele gaet nae den Hennenbroke", and means "swamp forest belonging to Wijerd". In 1840, it was home to 42 people.

Dalerveen is a village in the Netherlands and it is part of the Coevorden municipality in Drenthe. Dalerveen started during the peat excavation from Dalen. There were originally two villages: De Haar and Dalerveen. It was first mentioned in 1597 as "uth Daler venne" and means "the bog near Dalen". In 1840, it was home to 275 people. In the 1940, De Haar and Dalerveen merged into a single village.

Van Gogh House is a cultural site in Nieuw-Amsterdam, in the province of Drenthe in the Netherlands. The painter Vincent van Gogh stayed here for two months in 1883; the house is now a museum.

Veenoord is a village in the Netherlands and it is part of the Emmen municipality in Drenthe. It forms a single urban area with Nieuw-Amsterdam. Vincent van Gogh stayed in the Scholte Inn during his Drenthe period.

Nieuw-Amsterdam (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌniʋɑmstərˈdɑm] or [ˌniuʔɑms-]) is a village in the northeast Netherlands, in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It borders the village of Veenoord, the twin village of Nieuw-Amsterdam. Since 1998 Nieuw-Amsterdam and Veenoord are part of the municipality of Emmen.
