Ballinlough Castle

Clonmellon (Irish: Ráistín, but also attested to originally have been Cluain Miolain) is a small village officially in County Westmeath although on the border with County Meath, Ireland. It is situated on the N52 road between Kells in County Meath and Delvin in County Westmeath.

Killua (Irish: Chill Dalua) is a civil parish in County Westmeath, Ireland. It is located about 26.69 kilometres (17 mi) north–east of Mullingar. Killua is one of 7 civil parishes in the barony of Delvin in the Province of Leinster. The civil parish covers 5,262.2 acres (21.295 km2). The largest population centre is the small town of Clonmellon. Killua civil parish comprises 12 townlands: Ballinlough, Clonmellon, Cloran & Corcullentry, Corcullentry aka Cloran & Corcullentry, Dervotstown, Heathstown, Killua, Kilrush Lower, Kilrush Upper, Knock Killua, Moygrehan Lower, Moygrehan Upper and Paristown. Killua Castle, and the nearby Raleigh Obelisk, are situated near Clonmellon, County Westmeath, Ireland. The present house was built in about 1780 by Sir Benjamin Chapman and consisted of a hall, dining room, oval drawing room, breakfast parlour and front and back stairs. There was also a stable yard, barn and haggard (an enclosure where crops are stored). From here, the Chapmans administered the surrounding farm lands of some 9,000 acres (36 km2) in the 18th century. In a ruinous condition, it was renovated in 2006.

Delvin (Irish: Dealbhna), also known as Castletowndelvin or Castletown Delvin, is a civil parish in County Westmeath, Ireland. It is located about 20.74 kilometres (13 mi) north–east of Mullingar. Delvin is one of 7 civil parishes in the barony of Delvin in the Province of Leinster. The civil parish covers 18,279 acres (73.97 km2). The largest population centre is the town of Delvin. Delvin (Irish: Dealbhna) is a barony in north-east County Westmeath, in Ireland. It was formed by 1672. It is bordered by County Meath to the east and three other baronies: Fore (to the north–west), Moyashel and Magheradernon (to the south–west) and Farbill (to the south). The largest centre of population is Delvin.

Gibbonstown is a townland in County Westmeath, Ireland. The townland is located in the civil parish of Kilbride. The R400 regional road runs to the west of the area. The townland of Fearmore lies to the south, Gaulstown and Whitewell to the west, and the town of Rochfortbridge to the south.

Delvin (Irish: Dealbhna or Dealbhna Mhór) is a village in County Westmeath, Ireland; it is located on the N52 road at a junction with the N51 to Navan. The town is 20 km (12 mi) from Mullingar (along the N52). The word Delvin comes from Delbhna. That tribe settled in what is present-day Delvin, along with a branch of the Soghain, in Tricha céd na Delbna Móire agus na Sogan.

Kilskeer or Kilskyre is a townland and small village in County Meath, Ireland, 10 kilometres (6 miles) southwest of the town of Kells. It is the birthplace of Brian O'Higgins, the revolutionary and poet who was president of Sinn Féin in the 1930s. Jim Connell, the political activist and writer of the socialist anthem "The Red Flag", was born in the nearby townland of Rathniska.

Martinstown Castle is a ruined castle located in the townland of Martinstown, south of Delvin, County Westmeath, Ireland. The ruin consists of a three-story tower with an interior staircase. Due to similarities with Talbot's Castle in Trim, County Meath, the castle is believed to date back to the 15th century.

Clonyn Castle also known as Delvin Castle, is a Victorian country house situated in Delvin, County Westmeath, Ireland some 18 km from Mullingar along the N52. It is a square, symmetrical, two-storey castle-like building of cut limestone with four tall, round corner towers at each corner. The interior has a large two-storey hall with a gallery and arcading. It was one of the last Victorian baronial castles to be built in Ireland. A golf course open to the public lies behind the castle, 500m from the centre of Delvin.

Crossakiel or Crossakeel (Irish: Crosa Caoil, meaning "the crosses of Caol") is a village in County Meath, Ireland. It is situated in the north-west of the county, at the junction of the R154 and the L2801, approximately 13 km south of Oldcastle and 12 km north of Athboy.

Clonarney (Irish: Cluain Earna) is a civil parish in County Westmeath, Ireland. It is located about 20.46 kilometres (13 mi) north–east of Mullingar. Clonarney is one of 7 civil parishes in the barony of Delvin in the Province of Leinster. The civil parish covers 2,314.5 acres (9.366 km2). Clonarney civil parish comprises 5 townlands: Clonarney, Mulliganstown, Scurlockstown, Sheepstown and Stonestown. The neighbouring civil parishes are: Killallon County Meath to the north, Delvin to the north, east and south, Kilcumny and St. Mary's to the west.
